Blinding Good Lights
Pros: Adjustable, Attractive, Durable, High Quality, Lightweight, Rugged
Cons: Expensive
"I got these after having a couple of sets of electron lamps where the battery died early. I use them 5 days/week in the winter for commuting on unlit roads and tracks. They are staggeringly bright.
I've heard pedestrians talking to each other saying they thought I was a motorbike! The only problem is dazzling oncoming cyclists on cycle paths.
The battery has done one winter season and still holds loads of charge - I run it for 1½ hrs a day and charge daily. Occasionally I forget to charge and it does two days without running low.
They also have a flash option - no way people can miss you when this is on.
These are expensive - but you really do get what you pay for.
Highly recommend."

Fragile
Pros: Attractive, Lightweight
Cons: Expensive, Low Quality, Poor Quality, Wears Out Easily
"I bought these lights for commuting and short night time trail rides for which they are adequate. You need to have them on the brightest setting for serious riding as the other is too dim. Nice small design is good. Several problems which led to me returning the lights, firstly one light gradually became noticably dimmer than the other which became really annoying, the light on the on/off switch stopped working after a few months, the lens's kept condensing when used in the rain and the simple rubber band mounting system does tend to slip in the rough stuff. Sent them back to Wiggle who sent them back to Nite Rider, Nite Rider took an age to do anything about it so all credit to Wiggle they refunded me. Will be purchasing something different from Wiggle for this winter!"

let there be light
Pros: Adjustable, Attractive, Durable, Good Fit, High Quality, Lightweight, Rugged, Versatile
Cons: Bulky
"in my opinion these are the best lights on the market, if set-up correctly they can give a wide clear view. this is perfect for flying through wooded areas with tight bends and obsticles. the different settings allows you to optimise the lights performance to give the best 'burn time' to brightness ratio.
the battery pack can be abit large to some but it allows the lights to be mounted in numerours places. i have my battery pack on the top cross bar of the frame and the two lights on each of the fork tops. if you mount them on the handle bars the beam can be abit narrow, whereas my method gives a much wider spread.
the lights are well built, and feel solid. 'burn time' can last a couple of rides (around 1hr on full brightness and much more on secound setting), over time this does get shorter. only thing i found wrong was you must becareful of heavy rain getting into the battery pack. my first one was outside in some heavy rain on the bike and it failed to work. but i thought it was such a good light for commuting and night riding i brought another."

Niterider MiNewt x2
Pros: Durable, High Quality, Lightweight, Rugged
"I bought these to replace my old lights during the winter of 2008/9. Remarkable brightness, excellent design and performance. I commute on dark (no street lights) country lanes, and these lights enable me to see hazards (potholes, rabbits, badgers etc) before i hit them. Bright white light, good throw on the beams, large pool of light to ride in. Offroad they are great too. The most expensive lights i've ever bought, but well worth it for regular winter users."
