Smashing Pedals
Pros: Adjustable, Attractive, Comfortable, Durable, Good Fit, High Quality, Rugged
Cons: Bulky
"After using a pair of Look Keo Sprint pedals for two years these were a revelation. Heavier and pricier they may be but with no doubt justified by the quality and performance.
Extremely stable and secure compared to Looks, most likely because of the larger platform that Shimano offers benefitting my large feet (12) compared to the slender continental Looks. When matched with a decent stiff sole you feel completely secured and at one with the bike. Cleats last much longer than Look as well so dont be discouraged by the pricier replacment cleats. Getting out of the pedals takes quite alot of getting used to, you really have to put some effort into twisting your foot as the resistance is really quite high even with the tension adjusted. However after a while this extra effort becomes second nature and installs a little bit more confidence knowing your feet are unlikely to slip out when sprinting.
Drawbacks include the weight of the pedals, by no means are these the lightest on the market, still this has no discoraged me from using them when racing and training and its good to know these should last a long time.
Armstrong and Cavendish havnt used Shimano pedals throughout their careers for no reason."

Solid performer
Pros: Adjustable, Durable, High Quality, Lightweight
"I recently changed to these pedals having finally retired my old Look Delta pedals. It was a very easy transition. The Ultegra pedals are a light weight road pedal with a good, wide platform - translating into excellent power transfer. Really easy to click in and out.
Too early to say how durable they are - but they look and feel pretty sturdy."

Shimano UltegraSL 6620 SPD-SL Pedals
Pros: Adjustable, Attractive
Cons: Expensive
"Bought these to match the components on my new bike. Very nearly tempted with the 105s due to price but pushed the budget.
Good quality pedal making for efficient cycling.
Not certain they're worth (almost) twice the price of the 105s but would have kicked myself in the end for having everything else ultegra on the bike.

Look vs. Shimano?
Pros: Adjustable, Attractive, High Quality
Cons: Expensive
"I only bought these as I bought a new bike which has Ultegra cranks. I had been usin an old pair of Look pedals and to be quite honest, I would happily use either. They felt slightly different to engage initially but by my third outing it became second nature."

does the job
Pros: Adjustable, Comfortable, High Quality, Lightweight
Cons: Limited Color Choices
"My first spd-sl pedals. I am still trying to get used to it. Once the tricky bit is over (that is clipping in), your shoes are firmly attached to the pedals. I cannot compare with others but seems to be strong enough for daily use."

good for the price i managed to get it at
Pros: Attractive, Comfortable, High Quality
"if you're paying the full or near the full price it's still a good pedal but cheaper shimano spd versions are just as good for a lot less money."

Great Value
Pros: Adjustable, Comfortable, Durable, Great Value, Lightweight
"Smooth and efficient. Shimano's Ultegra SL 6620 road pedal (not SPD) make a superbly positive click when you engage into the pedal. The cleats are easier to walk in than Keo or Delta. The pedal is flat and puts you ver close to the spindle. Just what you need."

Shimano UltegraSL 6620 SPD-SL Pedals
Pros: Adjustable, Attractive, Comfortable, Durable, Good Fit, High Quality, Lightweight
"I was a bit reticent about purchasing theses pedals as i have used Time pedals for the last 15 years. However, after receiving the pedals i am extremely impressed by their many qualities. Firstly, Shimano provide a choice of two cleats to accompany the pedal. the one cleat has a fixed position. The second cleat provides more float. I have opted for the second cleat due to using Time for all those years. Set-up time was about an hour of fettling and the end result in a pedal that provides a feeling of cecurity that i have never experienced before. I have been using them for the last 3 months and have not "pulled out" accidentally on any occassion. I am able to get full power down out of the saddle on the climbs in total confidence. the tension adjustment is simple and effective and easily gauged due to the tension indicator located on the rear of the pedal. As you woul;d expect from a "high end" Shimano product the build quality is ver very good. All in all i reate thses pedals very highly and would go as far as to say they have improved my enjoyment whilst out training on the bike."
