Assos Airprotec LL F1 Padded Bib Tights

Whereas in the past, any incorporating of airBlock material always meant a reduction in elasticity and hence fit, the airProtec's kneezone is designed to make you forget that your knees are airBlock protected.

Couldn't buy better!
Pros: Attractive, Comfortable, Good Fit, Great Value, High Quality
"Thanks to the prompt despatch by Wiggle, these Assos padded bib tights arrived just as the temperature changed from just above freezing to 12 degrees C, so it was time to change out of the normal thermal gear! The "large" size garment fitted really nicely (I'm 5ft 11inches tall) and very comfortable to ride in, keeping quite warm on our cool and windy days (as opposed to days when it's freezing cold with biting winds). Well recommended but will probably need something lighter for the warmer Summer days - more investement shortly!"

SPLENDID CANNOT FAULT
Pros: Attractive, Comfortable, Durable, Good Fit, High Quality, Lightweight
"I bought these because I was so impressed with the Assos Bib Shorts. What can I say? The usual quality packaging, Wiggles excellent turnaround times to Australia, couldnt wait to get them on. It has been warmer than normal so I had to wait a while. The other morning it was a bit on the cool side so I thought I'd give them a go. All I can say is FANTASTIC!!!!!
They performed way and above what I expected. The padding is that comfortable I may as well have been sitting on the couch back home. Not a single moment did I feel restricted or too warm, even though these are designed for much colder weather. The fit is "like a glove" . The protectors on the knees are superb. I forgot I had them on after the ride, and my missus had to remind me to get them off so she could launder them.
It makes me want to kick myself for all the $ I have spent on lesser gear, albeit half the price I have no doubt these will be around for years to come, and I have no qualms about what brand I will be buying next. I am now an Assos fan, and will only buy up market gear. They say buying cheap is actually buying expensive, and I say this piece will prove that statement true in every respect. These Swiss know their cycle gear no doubts! The srvice from Wiggle is excellent as well. Satisfied customer. Nuff said.

What you'd expect of bibs from Assos.
Pros: Attractive, Comfortable, High Quality, feels warm and keeps you dry
Cons: not enough sizes
"I purchased these tights to prepare myself for fall/winter rides.
It's still too warm for them so I haven't tried them on the road, but the initial impression has been positive so far. The fleecy Roubaix fabric feels very nice and warm, and should provide enough thermal protection down around 5 to 10 degrees centigrade. I have a pair of Assos Roubaix arm warmers and from my experience they wick sweat really fast and keep you dry and warm. If you ride in icy wind, you'd want to opt for Assos Winter LL tights with Airblock 851 fabric. They should get you under zero degree.
Assos' AEPD cutting pulls a bit when standing upright, but shoulder straps practically disappears when you lean forward and put your hands on the bars. FI Mille pad feels thicker and less elastic than FI.13 S5 pad, but just as soft and comfortable. I'm very short at 5ft6 and the size S' inseam seems a wee bit too long, perhaps size XS would have been spot on but Assos doesn't offer them at the moment. Fit is fine, but I prefer the snug fit and compression from my summer FI.13 bib shorts. These aren't too loose, just that it has practically no compression around thighs. In fact, I just ordered T.607 bib shorts as well and they have the Campionissimo cutting so should be much tighter fit. These are probably designed for training and longer rides, perhaps?
They seem to be fine if not great tights in pretty much every way, but I'll compare them with T.607 shorts when I get them and will post what I have to say.
Oh, One thing good about them is that the front section is cut high and you don't get that 'bulge' when you're off the bike and walk into a cafe unlike FI.13 bibs."

Seriously good tights
Pros: Durable, Attractive, Comfortable, High Quality, Versatile, Good Fit
Cons: Expensive
"I use these for early morning rides. They provide excellent resistance to cold yet don't overheat when the sun tries to break through the clouds. My only bugbear is the position of the label in the small of the back which itches when I ride. I don't want to cut it out for fear of tearing the lycra."

Pros: Attractive, Comfortable, Durable, Good Fit, High Quality, Lightweight, Rugged, Versatile
Cons: Expensive
"Man, I thought the unpadded tights were good...These are sublime.
Comfort is unparalled. Although I wouldn't normally spend this much on an item of clothing, these are SOOO comfortable and worth every penny. The pad gives me all the comfort in the world, even after 200 miles worth of commuting in a week with no chamois creme!
The knees are protected from the cold wind incredibly well. Utter comfort."
