Simple but does the job.
Pros: Great Value, Lightweight, Versatile
"This adaptro attaches to the carrier reflector plate, allowing you to fit most Cateye rear LED lights.
It comes with screws and cable ties for attaching to the reflector plate. The former are intended for use with mounting holes 50mm apart, the latter for holes more than 50mm apart. The cable ties are a simple if not particularly elegant solution.
The main advantage of this product is that you can fit a rear LED with BS reflector (e.g. the TL-LD 500) to be seen better and remain road legal.
I've used the product to fit a rear LED to my girlfriend's hybrid as there's nowhere else with a short seatpost and panniers mounted.
Overall, a simple but effective solution to a common problem and one I'm happy to recommend."

ESSENTIAL if you have a rack on your bike !
Pros: Durable, Good Fit, Great Value, High Quality, Lightweight, Rugged, Versatile
"yet another GREAT "must have" in my opininion.
SIMPLE to fit to the rear of most cycle racks and stops you having to mess around with the supplied bracket of most cateye rear lamps. took me all of 3 mins to screw to my topeak rack on my commuter hybrid and holds the light perfectly and securely. the thing i really like is it'll hold mostly all of the cateye rear lights so i can use the big jumbo unit on this on a foggy/rainy day and the smaller one on a clearer evening's ride home.
its also very unobtrusive - its small and black so doesnt stick out or look out of place on my rack.
overall a great "must have" at the wiggle price !"

very simple, very useful, too expensive
Cons: Expensive
"This is such an important accessory if you ever carry stuff on your rack and obscure your seat post mounted lights from view. LUDICROUSLY EXPENSIVE considering what it is (probably costs them 10p to make), but given how useful it is I have bought three and consider it a necessary addition to any rack that sees regular use."

A good purchase
Pros: Great Value, Lightweight, Good Fit
"I bought this item for my touring cycle, it fits neatly onto the rear carrier and my Cateye light fits nicely into it. I think it displays the light in a better position and is not obstructed by my pannier bags. Recommended."

Cateye Rear Mounting
Pros: Great Value
"I got this to have a 2nd rear light, for cycling to work. It was a little bit hard to fit, but this was due to the design of my rear carrier and not the light mounting. I would recommend this item to anyone who wants to have a light on their rear carrier."

Perfect
Pros: Durable, Great Value, High Quality, Good Fit
"The simplest things are so often the best, and this is true for this bracket.
Simple to fit, positions your light perfectly, if you have a rack and you ride in winter then you need one of these.

Pros: Great Value, Lightweight
Cons: Unadjustable, not fit for purpose
"i PURCHASED TWO OF THES FITTINGS ON THE ASSUMPTION THAT THEY WOULD FIT DIRECTLY ON TO THE BACK OF MY BICYCLES REAR RACKS. THEY DO NOT.
THEY ARE RATHER FLIMSY AND THE REAR LIGHT CAN EASILY BE TAKEN OFF. I LIKE TO LEAVE MY REAR LIGHTS ON THE BICYCLE ALL THE TIME SO THAT THEY ARE THERE WHEN NEEDED. AT £3-50
the product was not overpriced but better was expected of "CAT-EYE".

Did not fit my rear rack - check before buying
Pros: cheap
Cons: Poor Fit
"I bought this mounting to help me fit my Cat Eye rear light onto my rack.
Unfortunately I have been unable to use it as once fitted the lamp cannot be attached. The rear transverse bar on the rack overhangs the mounting and there is not enough space to insert the lamp.
Please also be aware that the mounting can be attached with screws only if the holes used by your reflector are close together.
If they are further apart, as on my rack (Giant Expression bicycle) then you are supposed to use the plastic ties supplied to tie the mounting to the rack.
All in all not a satisfactory solution and hence the two stars."

Pros: Great Value, Lightweight
Cons: may not fit every carrier, may need to remove reflector
"Bought this item to mount a Cateye LD1100 rear light on my rear carrier.
The mounting uses the same holes as the existing reflector, so I had work out a way of mounting both the light and the reflector on the same carrier. I wanted to keep the reflector as it is illegal to not have one.
The mounting fitted to the carrier OK, there was not enough room to slide the light on to the mounting due to an overhanging bar on my carrier. It would have gone on OK upside down, but I decided against this as light would be more likely to fall off.
Solution was to make up a bracket (from some old 10mm steel strip and 20mm nylon spacers) ) to hold the light mounting below the existing reflector and to use nuts and bolts to secure it rather than the supplied fixings. I had to drill out the fixing holes on the mounting slightly to accept the bolts.
Works perfectly now.

Handy Mounting
Pros: High Quality, Good Fit
Cons: Expensive
"Does the job of mounting Cateye lights to pannier racks. Works well and easily attached. Expensive for what it is, but provides a secure fitting in the end."

Recommended with some reservations
Pros: holds light firmly
Cons: Unadjustable, only easily fits smaller rack spacing
"This bracket is supposed to fit two different sizes of rack mount (roughly a 50mm hole spacing, and an 80mm spacing). My Topeak Beam rack has the wider of the two.
Cateye's solution for the wider spacing is to use Zip ties. This results in a laughable inadequate fixing -- the light flapping around while cycling. A quick drilling of two holes on my rack has sorted the problem.
The annoying thing is that Cateye used to sell a light mount that fitted both sizes of rack, but no longer.
So, this mount is great if you have the smaller spacing, but only any good for the wider hole spacing if your happy to attack your rack with a power tool."

tidy solution for pannier racks
