vital for mtb fittings
Pros: Adjustable, Good Fit, High Quality
"This bracket is essential for the front facing baby set if you have no real gap between your top tube and down tube where they meet the steerer tube. Pretty easy to fit with a few spanners onto my trusty old Trek8000. Sturdy looking enough, once you've got the hang of clipping the seat in it works just fine."

Disappointing
Cons: Poor Fit, badly designed
"I bought this in case the standard bracket didn't fit, luckily it did.
The part that clamps the downtube is two half cylinders both hinged in the middle. The material is quite hard and there's no adjustment so unless the downtube is the same diameter as the inside of the clamp there's a risk of crushing it. Certainly not suitable for thin-walled aluminium, carbon or steel tubed frames. Poorly designed product, all that's needed is a bigger diameter outer clamp and some soft rubber inserts to tailor the fit."

Needed for a mountain bike
Pros: High Quality, Good Fit
Cons: Expensive, Unadjustable, Unattractive
"If you want to fit the seat to a mountain bike, you will probably need this bracket. I have a Clcud Butler Alpina so the head tube was quite large. The bracket scomes in about 8/10 pieces but isn't difficule to construct. You also get serveral different length bolts to attach the bracket. Exact positioning can be a little fiddly but doesn't take too long to adjust. Also the bar which holds the seat in place is quite a tight fit."
