Exposure Piggyback Single Cell Battery

Our new range of MaXx lights already have impressive burn times which are more than adequate for most people. However, the "Piggyback" battery feature allows the burn times to be extended almost to the point of infinite!

Essential for longer riding
Pros: Lightweight, Good Fit
Cons: Not Enough Features
"This is a good light weight option to extend the running time of any Exposure light, has come in handy many times when suddenly losing light out in the middle of nowhere."

Fits anywhere - light weight
Pros: Versatile, Good Fit
"I ride allot at night with my Diablo - helmut mount for the MTB and Bar mount for the Roadie. I prefer to ride at the full 900 lumens for safety so the Diablo gives just over an hour b4 lights out in this mode. By combining this single cell piggy back I now have 2 hrs and don't have to worry about looking at the ride time so much - which is perfect.
In terms of fit I mount it under my head stem on the Roadie (tight neat fit) and I attach it on the back of my helmut when using the helmut mount for the Diablo. I did have to get exposure to send me some little rubber pads (not in my delivery) that attach to the base of the clip which sits between the clip and your mounting point. This is essential to stop movement when attaching and securing the piggy back.

Pros: Lightweight
Cons: lead length is a bit betwixed and between
"Does exactly what it says in the ad. Plugged it into my exposure joystick and now get a really useful length of run time at max power. Straps to helmet and doesn't move or feel excessively heavy either. I thought the strap would have allowed it to work loose but have hammered some rough descents with no loss of battery. Only downside is that you can't plug anything else into the smart port while using this. The single cell must be strapped fairly close to the light, but is long enough that it needs threading it out of the way to avoid catching on branches."

Great little battery
Pros: Durable, Great Value, High Quality, Rugged, Lightweight
Cons: Expensive
"An easy to use extension of Exposure lights battery life. Just connect this light battery (simple connector) and you will keep going through the dark.
Only ctiricism: the cable should be a little longer so you can put the battery in your camelbak when connected to a helmetlight.
All Exposure products are really well thought of and tough built."

Doubles time
Pros: Durable, High Quality, Rugged, Lightweight
Cons: Not Enough Features
"Works fine but would be better if it really could be piggy backed with a bracket onto the light rather than just a velcro strap to fit on stem or bars and not sure how easy this would fit to helmet."

safety
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Attractive, High Quality, Rugged, Lightweight, Versatile, Good Fit
"Lamps for bicycles have come so far since the days i was velcro fastening a lead acid battery to the underside of the top tube and putting out fires when charging!
Exposure have put together some incredibly well made, good looking and functional products , this is another.
Fully charged, i carry this as a safety option, it gives you the time to get home if youve pushed your luck with front light charging.
It will power the Redeye for 9 hours according to Exposure, though they don't recommend, so dual purpose. Uses same charger as the front lights.
Easy velcro fixing or put in your back pocket not heavy at all.
Great.

Exposure Piggyback Single Cell Battery
"I purchased this to use as a power supply for my rear red eye light, without having to plug into the smart port on the front light.
This is not what Exposure developed the piggyback battery for but it works well. The battery sits in my saddle bag and to switch the light on or of, simple connect or disconnect the light."

Safety first rear light
Pros: High Quality, Versatile, Good Fit
Cons: Expensive
"This is a great little unit to keep your rear light powering away, with no messy cable running along your top tube or having to always powerup your front light to activate your rear. Small and will fit inside the seat rails."

Piggyback Single Cell
Pros: Durable, High Quality, Rugged
Cons: Expensive
"I bought the single cell to double the battery life of my Exposure Joystick MaXx2.
Well made, easy to charge and use it's a valued piece of kit for longer night rides.
My only gripe is that you can't use it in conjunction with other Joystick add-ons such as the remote switch or additional whiteye/redeye lights."

Exposure piggyback battery
Pros: Durable, High Quality, Rugged
Cons: Expensive
"Excellent product. The Exposure is ruggid and reliable and gives me that added safety factor for those night time rides. I have re-charged this 20+ times so far and it is still going strong.
The only issue is, as with most of the Exposure range, that these are not cheap. However, I would rather spend a bit more and know that the product won't let me down."

stonking longevity
Pros: High Quality, Lightweight, Rugged
Cons: Limited Color Choices
"Ran Maxx 2 on full blast and managed to get 7 hours out of this..big stack at one point didn't affect performance at all....brilliant piece of kit thoroughly recommended.....would have preferred it not to be black as hard to spot in the dark....just watch if you piggyback it on to light on bar fitting as a fall with these two attached to each other can easily smash the bar bracket....attach to underside of bars or anywhere else but there..! My £18 replacement Maxx 2 bracket is reviewed elsewhere..."
