Not so easy to see
Pros: Adjustable, Great Value, does just what's needed
Cons: not as easy to read as i'd hoped
"In most respects this is an excellent product. Easy to fit and set up (no wires) and straight forward in use.
The one gripe? Well athough the display looks good and clear in the photo, it turns out that its not quite so easy to read 'for real'. The digits are large enough but they are not as high contrast as the picture makes them out to be and the digit in the bottom right is so close to the edge of the dispaly that it's amost hidden from some angles, "1" can almost disappear.
Would I change it? Probably not. On balance it does the job at a fair price. May be I'll get used to reading it after a while."

Not great
Cons: Low Quality, Poor Quality
"Bit disappointed. My first wireless computer. Often loses the link. Can get spurious signals i.e. where I park my bike it registers 60mph!! If only. Also, it is hard to see if you mount it directly under your line of vision - it seems to be either a dodgy display or you have to have the angle right. Not recommended"

Solid Little device

"Decent little computer bought for my son, the only problem with it was the fact the installation instructions came in every language except English! A quick google helped to sort that out but was a little frustrating when trying to get it working for my 5 yr old son. Once up and running however it works just fine and seems agood reliable unit so far!"

"This nifty device is quick to set up and worked like a dream through the rain and the freezing temperatures - even though it was left on my bike in a cold cold shed!
Only gets 4 stars because it would be brill to have average speed and highest speed reached, but I think you can get that on the A8 - for the price you pay for this it's excellent.
I use it to race myself to work, or to make sure I don't go too fast when I'm on my way to meetings dressed smartly! And it does this brilliantly. Great for measuring long rides too."

"The system now works faultlessly.
I did have enormous difficulty setting it up - as it arrived with a flat better for the transmitter! I kept assuming I had not set it up properly - new battery, and now it works."

Great Budget Computer

"This is the first computer I have purchased, and I have been very impressed with the functions and simplicity of the product. The interface is simple and it provides basic functions that I have found useful as a complete novice. The fixing is via cable ties which put me off at first, but to be honest are very durable and have allowed me to easily move the computer as required using further cable ties. Overall, don't expect anything fancy but for the money it is good value."

Basic, but good
Pros: Great Value
"If you want to know every detail of every ride you do then buy something else. It has 4 functions and 2 buttons, and thats it. Current speed, trip distance, total distance and clock. For me thats fine, when I'm cycling I don't want to be trying to remember which button to press, and once I'm home I'm not fussed about looking at the highest speed, or being told my average speed or downloading it all on to a computer. So if you just want something basic to help you keep your pace up when your out and see how far you went when you get home, for the price this is the one for you."

"A good product if you are looking for a cheap wireless computer, with simple functions. Only had one problem with it so far where it went a bit haywire in heavy rain, although I've had no similar problems since, so I guess it must have been a one off. Would definitely recommend."

"Good bit of kit. A little bit fiddiley to set up on bike to start but functions very easy to use. Slight 'camera shake' at 40mph - but I think that was probably me not the computer ! Does the job without any fuss."

"this nifty bit of kit was the best value wireless computer i could find. it does the main things ie time ,speed, distance trip and odometer. there are a lot of more sofisticated ones available but for the weekend cyclist or the serious competitor this will meet your needs, its a little fiddley to fit as you need to have the exact wheel size entered before you can initialize."

Less Is More!

"I bought this because of it's basic functionality. I have had more sophisticated ones from other makers but found them to be overdone. The amount of time you spend head down trying to find the right function is not only frustrating but also dangerous.
The VDO was really easy to fit with the nylon straps supplied, even on the front dampers. The setup for the wheel size was simple too. The buttons are easy to activate, it works very well, and sleeps when you're finished. The display is clear, uncluttered and easy to read.
I love it! At this price it is a gift. Good thinking VDO we don't all want a computer game strapped to our bars.
If only I could find a mobile phone that was just a phone...."

"Looked good and nice big buttons on the front so ease of use would be good. Unfortunately couldn't re-set the trip so had to try to remember the mileage I started at and they calculate my actual mileage at the end. Rang Wiggle to ask if you should be able to and if so how, but they weren't sure and gave me the number for the people who supply them, after a few phone calls to them someone eventually answered and said it should do but he didn't know how and he would get someone to ring me back, the phone call never came. I rang Wiggle back up and they let me return the product with a full refund no problem. Whether mine was faulty, I don't know. Apart from that issue it was a really nice and easy item to use."

"Cheap isn't always a bargain!
This was my first trip computer so thought a basic one would suit but not been best impressed.
It takes a while to warm up in the morning and keeps cutting out which can be very annoying when trying to gauge distance.
