Torq Gel Sachets - 20 x 45g

In line with the formulation used in their energy drinks, Torq Gels have a blend of Maltodextrin, a long chain complex carbohydrate and Fructose (fruit sugar) in a 2:1 ratio for maximum carbohydrate absorption.

Great Tasting Gels
"I have always been wary of using energy gels during sport as most of them are stuffed full of artificial sweetners which apart from giving the products a horrible metallic note also have been linked to several health issues.
Torq gels are clean dec only using various sugars and carbohydrates which metabolise at different rates. They also have a great flavours all based around a dairy base (yoghurt). I do believe that they help prolong my preformance during the various sporting events that I do. I would therefore recommend them to anyone who is aiming to boost there endurance.
Before you ask yes I do work in the food industry No it is not for Torq"

I worry about their affect on my teeth! They are amazing but I'm sure they are BIG teeth stainers!

Best tasting gel out there
Pros: High Quality, tasty
"I've tried most of the major brands of energy gels (High5, Powerbar, SiS, Lucozade, etc) and these Torq ones are by far the best tasting. They have a more creamy texture than some of the more gooey, jelly like textures of some that I've tried. I've tried each of the flavours in the past and they really taste like their description, strawberry yoghurt flavour actually tastes of strawberry yoghurts, which is not necessarily a given with some energy foods.
All-in-all, throughly recommended!"

Cannot be beaten
Pros: Great Value, High Quality, Lightweight
Cons: not enough flavours
"I have tried most of the gel carbohydrate products avalible and have come to the conclusion that Torq gel is the best .I use it all of the while when I am on my bike, but it works especially well for me when I am on my indoor turboafter a hard days work as a plasterer. The workouts just seem more productive as I can give 100 % all the while to the session, definetly recommended."

Torq Gels
Pros: good performance
Cons: none
"Tried one of these gels previously and really liked the energy hit. I have tried multiple gels in the past and, as a Type 1 Diabetic, I measure my blood sugar to determine the effect of any energy product on my performance. The Torq gels have had the best impact with an instant sugar rush to provide an instant kick but sufficient longer lasting carb release to keep performance going. They also taste pretty good which is a bonus! Black Cherry is a personal favourite."

Pros: Great Value, tasty
"Rhubard and Custard are very tasty, can definitely taste the 'custard content', they are not as gloopy as some gels as well so go down quite easily.
Don't think they give you as much of a 'kick' as the ZipVit gels, but I'd still reuse them.
I've heard good things about the caffiene gels by Torq too."

Torq excellence
"train with the nutrition that you race was the advice. Well I have competed in five ironman and Swiz / German marathons. Power bar is the title food and energy sponsor / provider. So the last five years of training and competing in ultra endurance events has been with Powerbar UNTIL NOW!!
The reasons being:
1 great taste and they work
2 no upsetting and bloating gut or bowel after really heavy sessions or events
3 I now race in Endurance Life events and in 2011 these were used.

Effective but I think I picked the wrong flavour!
"I found these gels to be pretty effective. I used them when I was starting to suffer on the long ride. I found that they kicked in pretty quickly. However, I had the orange and banana flavour which was a bit odd and quite sickly."

Great tasting Gel
Pros: High Quality, easy to digest, relatively thin gel that is easy to swallow
"Just started longer distance cycling and needed to find a gel that suited my digestive system and tasted good. I last tried gels when I was running ultra marathons quite a few years ago and it was a pretty horrible experience, making me feel nauseous and upsetting my stomach. Torq gel on the other hand are great, they provide the energy promised and are easy to swallow and digest. Added to this, the Rhubarb and custard gel tastes so good I sam often tempted to chug a sachet even when I am not cycling."

Best gels yet
"I love the Rhubarb and Custard flavour. I could eat these for dessert if it wasn't for fear of putting too much weight on!!!! These are really good at topping up the reserves on any ride!"
