Cheap, robust, useful.
Pros: Adjustable, Comfortable, Great Value, Rugged, Versatile
Cons: Unattractive
"There's be a gap in the market for simple, understated looking shoes for clipless pedals - ones that you can walk around in but still ride fairly seriously. These are a good solution to that problem, if you don't mind the mildly ugly, chunky looks.
Obviously they're designed for mountain biking, and I'm sure they'd be great for that purpose. But if you're in the city and don't have 5 bikes to choose from, and want to ride your clipless-pedaled bike to the shops, the pub, cafes etc, then these are a really good solution. Especially riding fixed, where you can't go without foot retention.
I'm using these with Time Atac Aliums, and they work perfectly. Adjusting the position of the cleats took a few goes. One tip - don't judge the cleat position relative to the cut-out in the bottom of the sole, since they're pretty cheaply made and this varies from shoe to shoe. I measured the bolt positions with a ruler from a moulded point in the sole, which made sure the position and rotation were equal for each.
I bought a size 44, since my Specialized shoes are size 43 and a tight fit. These are a bit on the loose side, not such a moulded snug shape compared to other shoes. A 43.5 probably would have been best for me, if they did half sizes, which they don't.
If it wasn't for the reflective-striped tabs on the tongue and heel, these would look ok, in an outdoorsy kind of way. At least they're all black. The tabs can be cut off/blacked out with marker anyway if you want them especially low-key.
It's pretty good when you find shoes as cheap as these, that work (almost) as well as shoes 2-3 times the price."

my first pair
Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Good Fit, Great Value, Rugged, Versatile
Cons: Limited Color Choices
"i am a complete bikin virgin! i was wearing my old trainers and after doin some readin on the net found out that i was losin power (or woteva the tech term is) due to these but didnt have a clue which shoes i shud get. my mate who is a bikin nut (goes racing, spends at least an hour a day on his bike) has these funny ones that clip on - i didnt fancy the idea of havin my foot actually attached to the pedal (could see myself stoppin at a light and forgettin to detach myself from the pedals and endin up in a heap on the floor!! plus there is the added expense of changing my pedals which i dont want right now as i dont know how serious im goin to get) so he suggested these and they are brilliant!!
i am a size 9 1/2/10 and i ordered a 45 - they fit perfectly! they have a detachable panel so if u want to try cleats(?) later you can, they look like norm trainers, are easy to walk in and very comfy! the only trouble i found was that my foot started slipping off the pedal but i still had the bog standard plastic pedals that came with the bike - so wid a very kind donation from my bike mad mate of his old flat metal pedals wid little studs on them the problem was solved immediatly so it wasnt actually down to the shoes!!
i would recommend these to anyone who is jus startin out and doesnt want to break the bank as they are great value for money or not completely convinced by the clip system!!"

Great value for money
Pros: Great Value, Attractive, Comfortable, Lightweight, Versatile, Good Fit
"Very good shoe for the money. Very comfortable. I just did the Coast to Coast in them and they were great for riding and walking/pushing (bear in mind I don't use cleats though so can't comment on how they are for walking with cleats). Sprayed with waterproofing spray before I went and feet stayed dry too. Only trouble is one of the blanking plates came out though that is probably my fault for not tightening it up not the shoe's fault. Can I get another one? I like the way they look too. With jeans or tracky bottoms they pass for normal trainers. Unlike the previous reviewer I like the little reflective strips, I'd rather been seen if I'm on a road than go stealth-like and actually I think they're quite funky! Can't comment on the long term quality as I've only has them a few weeks but they still look brand new after 140 miles this weekend."

Good Purchase
Pros: Comfortable, Good Fit
"This was my first pair of specialist cycling shoes. I had previously been put off buying cleat bearing shoes because I also wanted to be able to walk in them. These shoes are ideal. Walking is practical because the read of the shoe means the cleat is inset and does not touch the ground. I was concerned about the shoe size but this proved to be already. I am a size 9 in ordinary shoes and I purchased size 44 in these shoes."

気持ち大きめを選んだほうが快適かも
Pros:

Cons: Poor Fit
"Are very tight. Not so tight that I'd return them but I wouldn't want to walk any distance in them. Well made and good value for the price."

Great value introduction to riding clipped in
Pros: Great Value, Attractive, Comfortable, Adjustable, Versatile, Good Fit
Cons: Limited Color Choices
"I'm a die hard flattie user for trail centres but thought i would give it a go for my commuter bike. I wanted something that was normal looking rather than a pair of spangly disco slippers that i could where off the bike. The shoes are well made, look like a pair of walking shoes, have a nice stiff sole and the cleats were easy to fix. Plus they are very well priced! Done a couple of hundred mile in them now and very pleased with them. Recommended for first timers and/or those on a budget."

Solid commute/touring shoes
Pros: Great Value, Rugged, Versatile
Cons: Limited Color Choices
"I've been using these shoes almost every day for months and they have been very good. I use them with SPD Pedals and the cleats fit into the recess but sometimes catch on the floor when walking, especially on gritty surfaces.
For commuting to work and walking around town at lunchtime they have worked well with soles strong enough for cycling yet grippy enough when walking.
They are basic with standard lace up design but then they don't look like traditional cycling shoes so I can wear them in the office without attracting special attention.
Overall they do what they should and for the price they are a bargain!"

Worth The Money
Pros: Durable, Great Value
"Being my first pair of bike shoes and not wanting to spend a lot of money i am glad i did. Obviously not able to compare to any other brand or type, i am happy with the purchase. With regards to fit i would suggest going up one size to your normal running shoe. That being said they are still comfortable to wear. Heavier than a runner as you would expect however for the intended purpose of doing a bike ride and being able to stop at the shop to buy a paper or have a coffee, these are ideal."

Perfection
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Attractive, Comfortable, Rugged, High Quality, Versatile, Good Fit
"Ive only worn these once so far as I've only just returned from my first ride with them. But thats all I need as I've worn many other cycling shoes over the years to make a comparison.
They're very comfy. Im able to walk around in these like ordinary shoes, although there can sometimes be some of the tapping from the cleats that fit my spd's. Cushioning around the ankle area is not thin in any way as the magazine review states, its quite thick actually. The soles aren't going to help you win any world championships due to their flexibility but there is alot more stiffness compared to your usual run of the mill clogs. They are heavy enough to feel well made and look it too. Big grippy treads and not made of plastic like so many others, nice soft rubber so they do actually work. I wore them in 4 degree temps with fairly thin socks and my feet didnt turn blue or feel cold, but I could feel a slight breeze through the lining at speed. The one fault I can find is there is no way of keeping the laces out of the way, they are somewhat short though and stiffer than most laces. I'll certainly be buying another pair soon as backups and will curse the day when they are no longer available. Go a size up. I chose a 42 over my usual 40-41 and these fit perfectly. They arent stupidly narrow like most cycling shoes either.

Believe reviews
Cons: Poor Fit
"Quality appears reasonable for the price but why does it seem impossible to get wide fitting cycle shoes for everyday use at a reasonable price? I took the hint from previous review and bought one size larger but they were STILL too narrow, and my feet are not exceptionally wide."

Great shame
Pros: Great Value, Comfortable, Good Fit
Cons: Low Quality, lace retainers break
"I've found these shoes comfortable and effective for everyday cycling. It's just a great shame the lace retainers (no more than an elasticated tape) are of such poor quality. The one on the right shoe broke on second use, was repaired and broke again ! Apart from this defect, which needs rectifying, I would recommend the shoes as good value but they're not so cheap they should break after such little use. I've also had the shoes less than 2 months so cann't say how durable they are."

New shoes
Pros: Great Value, Attractive, Comfortable, Lightweight, Good Fit
"I bought these shoes along with cleats and pedals to convert my mountain bike.
(I also use SPD SL road cleats, shoes and pedals on my road bike.)
The cleats fitted the pedals without problems, and the pedals attached very easily to the cranks. So, very soon I was off..."

Too small
Pros: Great Value, Versatile
Cons: Poor Fit
"Although I read some comments that these shoes are small for the stated size, I was still taken aback by how small are the pair that arrived today. I'll be returning the 45s I ordered in the hope that 46s will be big enough for my 44/45 sized feet. Aside from that, the shoes seem ok, and reasonable value."

Great value shoes
Pros: Great Value, Comfortable
Cons: possible slippy soles / pedals
"+Really comfortable shoes for price -
- soles slip on some of my pedals allthough I will be using toe clips / cleats in future - quite a hard plastic sole
I am size seven and read some other reviews and ordered a bigger size (8) - had to swap for size seven - spot on"
