The BEST Garmin HRM Strap
Pros: Durable, Comfortable, easily serviced
"Having gone through 2 of the "premium" straps within 1 year I was told by a fellow runner to try out the old style strap. This does not have the removable transmitter, but is still very comfortable to wear. My HRM is now accurate again. The wires (which wear out) in the soft strap models, are here safely encased in rubber. And the battery is easily changed.
Am expecting to get many years of useful service out of this strap."

Better than the Premium model
Pros: Comfortable, Adjustable, Good Fit
"I got the premium model as part of package for Edge 800. It worked for about two months (less than ten rides) and then its behaviour was erratic. Cleaned after every use but still flaky.
Bought the standard model as replacement and it is giving rock steady performance, comfortable fit and easier to put on."

More reliable than the premium soft chest strap
Pros: High Quality, Adjustable
"I bought the Garmin Premium soft strap, because I thought that it would feel better on my run than the classic Forerunner chest strap. It fitted great, but after a year I started getting strange readings of heart rate over 200bpm during a recovery, easy run. Odd. I have seen reviews from other people experiencing the same problem, so I got this classic strap. It fits very well, I dont even have to moisten it before use and works reliably. The only thing I had to adjust was the soft part of the strap around my back, because it seem so to be designed for larger bodies than I am (UK size 8-10). Otherwise, very happy."

Better than expected
Pros: Comfortable, Adjustable
"Was "down"grading from the premium strap to this one, after the elastic on the former started to blow out (~12 months). The standard chest strap is just as comfortable, for me, and no perceptible drop in accuracy or reliability. Good times."

Great compatibility with Edge 500
Pros: Comfortable, High Quality, Adjustable
"I bought this strap to go with my Edge 500. With only 1 review for matching up with the Edge500, and most info suggesting it was for the forerunner, I was a bit nervous to purchase. Because this strap is Ant+, it matched up perfectly. It works well and really expands the capabilities of the computer."

Solid and reliable
Pros: Durable, Comfortable, High Quality, Adjustable
Cons: Expensive
"This is my second one after the first packed up after at least three years solid use. You can tell when the old one is going because the data delivered to the Garmin (XT310 in my case) becomes very volatile. The additional point I would make is that triathletes CAN wear this under you wetsuit and it still works when you get out for the cycle. Although it says so on the packaging, I still wanted to test it for myself."

Does what it says on the tin
Pros: Durable, Comfortable, High Quality, Adjustable, Lightweight, Good Fit
"Consistently good. This is my second, having lost the first. Rarely loses connectivity even when dry. Data seems consistent. Pretty confortable - they inevitably have to be worn tight or they slip down, what ever HRM."

Up your Motivation
Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight
Cons: Wears Out Easily
"I didn't used Heart Rate Monitor, HRM, with Garmin Oregin 300 for 1 year. My bicycle friend has it. So I also tried buy it and used it for bicycle touring.
I have monitored speed on Oregon 300 before, but I understand that HRM is the good monitoering device to accurately recognize my body performance rather than speed.
Unfortunately, rubber band is easily ware-out by few times usage. Of course I wares it 8he or 12hr for one day bicycle touring.

Flawless
Pros: Adjustable, Durable, High Quality
Cons: Bulky
"Plug n' play experience with Garmin Oregon 300. The replaceable battery is an advantage over the previously owned polar simple HR, although a bit more cumbersome to wear."

Buy it if you need it
Pros: works with edge 705 and 305
"Does exactly what you expect it to do. Please note I bought this for use with the Edge 705. It also works with the Edge 305 because of the ANT+ wireless. So if you need it for your 705 or 305,... buy this!!!"

great running kit
Pros: Adjustable, Good Fit, Great Value, High Quality, Rugged
"This product is extremely easy to use and highly reliable. You just wear it like a elastic belt round your mid torso and your running watch detects it as soon as it turned on. No need to switch on or anything. It never looses the signal or lets you down and produces great info on your fitness."
