FirstBike Cross Pedal-Free Kids Bike
Pros: Great Value, High Quality, Rugged, Lightweight
"Light & easy to put together. My son was for ever trying to help me push my bike through the house, so we thought we should by him his own bike! To say he loved it was an understatement. He spent he first few weeks pusing it up & down the garden because he was not quite tall enough to push himself along. No tall enough, he has got the hang of moving it himself. Money well spent : )"

Pros: Durable, Rugged, High Quality, Lightweight
"Excellent bike, it didn't take long for our children to master the balance. Suitable from about 2 (with the lowering kit) to 3 1/2, 4 years max.
The light weight is perfectly adapted to the kids strength.
I'm not sure the break option is needed as most children of the age do not manage to go and squeeze the break lever at the same time..."

"I wish FirstBike had been around when I was a little rider, great fun for learners, sturdy construction for the first bumps and falls and overall looks great. Got this one for my nephew, looking forward to one for my son next year!"

Great 1st mini mountain bike
Pros: Durable, Attractive, High Quality, Rugged, Adjustable, Lightweight
Cons: Expensive
"The first impression of this bike is how cool it looks, it just looks right. the mini mud guards and grippy tyres are fab. The construction is uniquie too setting it apart from the Ply wood brigade. Adjustmenst to the saddle height and position couldnt bne easier as there are no holes to be limited by and it just a hand adjustmnet thats needed no tools!
It weighs nearly nothing so my lad could pick it up and carry it round very easily. Skooting along is easy for him too as postion and handle bars are fab. I havent bothered to put the provided stickers on it its the de badged version!!! maybe will when its time to sell it on.
i d fully reccomend it but maybe id have gone for one with a brake if buying again.."

Favourite plaything
Pros: Adjustable, Attractive, Good Fit, Great Value, High Quality, Lightweight
"We read the reviews about balance bikes and decided to get one for Number Two Son's 2nd birthday.
The bike is light and well made. It's plastic, so all the scrapes and scuffs that a 2 year old can inflict are instantly visible, but that doesn't take anything away from the great build quality. It was easy to put together out of the box. All the nuts are nylock locking nuts, so nothing has come apart.
After a month, our 2nd son is better on this than Number One Son (4 years old) is on his conventional bike with stabilisers. Frankly, he's scary! He shows fantastic balance already, and no fear at all. It's definitely his favourite plaything!
This balance bike seemed dear when we bought it, but, with the lowering kit, our son has been able to use it from his second birthday. It's a lot lighter than the handful of cheaper balance bikes, and my hope is that it will last a bit better than some of the wooden ones. The lightness has worked well for us because, on days when we've managed to get home a bit early, we've been able to collect Number One Son from his Minder, go home, and then let him bike to Number Two Son's minder while we carry the Cross. Both kids love this. In fact, I recently collected Number Two Son on foot without his bike and had to field a lot of “Where bike?” questions!
This is probably the best toy we've bought for our son. We've no idea if it will help him master ordinary bikes, but he enjoys it so much that we count it money very well spent."
"I taught my daughter to ride on one of these type of learner bikes and although still only 5 now she amazes all the other parents at how good she now is on a proper bike. The one she learnt on was in principle the same but didn't look half as cool as this bike, which i have just bought for my son who is not even 2 yet. Everybody who sees this bike comments on how good it looks, however the reason i like these bikes is you can bypass the stabilizers stage as they teach the kids how to balance without the worry of pedalling. By finding a little incline you can have hours of fun with the kids watching them learn how to balance.. you'll be amazed at how quick they actually pick it up!! Although still relatively new it looks like it could take a few knocks and it looks great so i can definately recommend this bike to anyone looking for the best and easiest way of teaching the kids to ride."

great little bike
Pros: Adjustable, Attractive, Durable, High Quality, Lightweight, Rugged
"I bought this bike for my son who is 2.5yrs old. He loves it. It took him a day or so to get used to riding it. But given a week or so he was wizzing along quite happily. In fact I have to run to keep up with him (or follow on my bike). So best used away from busy roads! Recommended - in fact friends of ours have now ordered them."
