Outstanding tyres
Pros: Durable, Comfortable, Rugged, High Quality, Lightweight
Cons: Expensive
"These are brilliant tyres, very puncture resistant yet ride fast and light, they are beautifully made and despite the quite horrific price, are actually very good value for money. They are however more than a little sketchy when you first put them on, they need some miles on before they get to be as grippy as they are long term so be careful giving the bike too much lean on greasy roads for the first couple of rides. After this, though, they corner nearly as well as the Corsa Evo and are miles more puncture resistant. The only place to watch it, as it seems to be with all Vittoria tyres, is on the sidewalls, whilst the tread area seems to never puncture, the sidewalls are definitely where the problems arise. I would however still thoroughly recommend them, they are outstanding tyres. Love that green stripe too."

The tire for the cobbles
Pros: Durable, High Quality, Rugged
Cons: Expensive
"Just rode the 2010 Ronde Van Vlaanderen in super wet and muddy conditions. I ran these tires at 90 - 95PSI on DureAce carbon laminate clinchers. The sections of pave caused carnage amongst the field of 14,000 riders and I saw dozen upon dozen of punctures. These tires came through with not a scratch and provided perfect grip and no punctures in 152kms. If the conditions are really wet I recommend running these tires at 90PSI. I was suprised that I didn't see anyone else using these tires (until the Pro race on the Sunday). These tires are expensive but if you are looking at these tires then it is for a reason, if you are going to ride on really agressive road surfaces like cobble stones then these are the best, don't go to Belgium without them."

Ideal for our potholed roads
Pros: Comfortable, Durable, High Quality, Rugged
Cons: Expensive, Limited Color Choices, Poor Fit
"These tyres are quite astonishing. I'd never used Vittoria tyres before and wasn't aware of how effective their Open Corsa semi-tubular design is. I normally ride Vredstein Fortezza SLs which are light, have superb grip and accelerate and climb superbly but which are easily cut by flints and punctured by thorns. The roads following our freezing winter have been a mess, covered in flints and gravel and full of potholes and I got fed up fixing punctures in the dark so I bought a pair of these tyres.
The ride is so smooth and when combined with latex tubes they carry so much speed on broken tarmac that it feels like my bike has wings! The cornering confidence is in a different league to any other tyre I've tried (and I thought the Fortezza SLs were excellent) and they climb well, though with less snap than the Fortezzas. You can ride through pretty much anything and never feel at risk of losing control or puncturing.
The only downside is that they're a little heavy compared to a race tyre and that they're a nightmare to fit to my DT Swiss RR1450 wheels.
I will ride these for all of my training rides and probably try the CXs for my next Gran Fondo when weight will be more important on the long climbs."

Vittoria Open Pave Evo CG Tyres
Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Value, High Quality, Rugged
"Maybe the best all-around tyre to train on year round - these are super durable, and very flat-resistant tyres, with the added benefit that they grip like crazy in the water and mud of winter riding. Impressive resistance to flatting, I've gotten around 1500-2000 miles of winter riding on these, and when taken off, they have many holes in the tread, but no flats. The tyre they ride Paris-Roubaix on - for a good reason. Compared the the Evo Corsa race tyres, these give up a small margin of responsiveness, and give back extra comfort over the rough stuff, plus the grip you want in the steep, wet descents. Wiggle's price means you don't have to settle for a second-tier tyre - they are a great value at this price."

Spring classics tire
Pros: Comfortable, High Quality, Lightweight
Cons: Limited Color Choices
"If you ride clinchers and race in spring classics then this is probably the best tire available. I'll use them, e.g. in the Tour of the Battenkill, which has a lot of off-road riding. They are reasonably light, very flexible/supple, a bit wider than normal and have a surface and tread better on loose and rocky surfaces than normal road race tires in wet or dry conditions. But they are far from extreme so they are also perfectly competitive in normal conditions where you'd use Open Corsa Evo CX or Veloflex Pavé."

Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Value, High Quality, Lightweight
"When you are parting with the think end of £40 a piece for a tyre you are a little concerned that the price tag is inflated by reputation and media hype alone and that the performance won't live up to your expectations. Vittoria's Open Pave tyres live up to their price tag in every way possible. Light, durable and supple, they inspire confidence in all weathers both in terms of grip, puncture protection and "rollability". Vittoria's reputation is widely preserved through making some of the best bike tyres on the planet. The Open Pave's not only uphold this reputation, they add to it. A definite must for any serious rider who has the itch to ride come rain, shine cobbles or just good old plain tarmac. Potholes beware, you have been warned!"

winter tyres
Pros: Durable, High Quality, Versatile, Good Fit
"I have been getting lots of punctures on the last years winter tyres on the central London streets.
Read some reviews got these.
So far so good.
Nots so bad to get on.
You'll notice the difference to they tyres you have now.
Thick rubber, solid feel.
The suggested pressure is a challenge for my pump but they feel good and ride quite well
I thought they would be heavy going but they are as quick as the Swalbe I had on before.
Not sure about the green"

"the pave rolls very smoothly and fast;and after a 1000klms,i have no slices or cuts which i would usually have on rough sydney roads. it also shows very little wear after 1000k's-so it remains good value."

Confidence inspring
Pros: High Quality, Versatile
"Fitted these in time for some Autumn riding and first time out on wet roads, mulched leaves and they instantly inspired confidence. The slight increase in rolling resistance is totally compensated in volumes by the level of grip these give and the confidence they give you. Took them out for a wintery muddy country land 60 yesterday and they continue to do there job. Note sure you could want anything more from a winter tyre.
They are a pain to get on though. Haven't had a puncture yet and wonder if that will ever happen but if I do I reckon I'll be out in the cold for a bit, making sure I pack some mechanics rubber gloves!"

split after about 5 rides :-(
Pros: Attractive, Comfortable, Lightweight
Cons: Expensive, Low Quality
"Maybe I am just unlucky ?
The Tyre looks great and grips better than any other performance winter Tyre I have used straight out of the box and seemed pretty fast rolling. But on about my 5th ride on this Tyre & stone seems to have cut straight through the main tread leaving a 5+ mm split that bulges out when pumped up to pressure with a new inner tube. The Tyre is basically finished so at around £8 a ride I cannot really recommend this Tyre. Great shame as thought I had finally found a performance winter Tyre with reasonable durability."

Good all round high quality performance tyre
Pros: Durable, Comfortable, High Quality, Lightweight, Versatile, Good Fit
"Excellent tyre for those that like to ride without worrying if you will get a puncture if they happen to ride on not so smooth roads.
I used to use these tyres in their tubular format and always found them to be robust, comfortable and hard wearing. The same applys to the clincher version.

The best winter tyres
Pros: Durable, High Quality, Rugged
Cons: Expensive
"My choice for reliability and performance in the wet. So get over the colour and give them a go. I also use the tubular version and rode 260km in mud and filth over cobbles and had no problem when most riders had 2-3 flats that day."

Very good so far...
Pros: Attractive, Comfortable, Rugged, High Quality
Cons: Expensive, Limited Color Choices
"I have been wanting to try these tyres for a while because I wanted a strong tyre for my fixed gear bike that was comfortable but also a lively ride.
Now about 300 + kms in so maybe a bit too early to review. What I can tell so far is that they seem to corner and roll well and there is definitely a comfort benefit over standard 23mm clinchers (these are 24 mm).
Currently there is no sign of wear on the rear tyre and no cuts despite having ridden through some serious patches of glass and on poor road surfaces. No punctures to date.
these may be the tyres you are after if you want quality, comfort and few punctures but without sacrificing road feel? they are expensive though, even on discount, and there are no colour choices (green only)! the side wall does not look all that robust, however, it's usually just bad luck if you get something spearing through there.
At the moment I would say they are a better ride than Rubino Pro (Vittoria) and more robust than Open Corsa. they feel similar to Veloflex Paves which are great tyres IMO. not easy to get on but not tyre lever snappers like Conti Gatorskins either (yuk!).
happy riding..."

Fast and Aggressive Tire
Pros: Durable, Comfortable, High Quality, Lightweight, Versatile, Good Fit
Cons: Expensive, Limited Color Choices
"Iam a big Vittoria fan, having owned Corsa CX and Dimante Protechs, never been disapointed. These are truly race proven tires. I have put about 200kms on them and this uncludes about 20 kms on hard packed gravel roads. They have excellent grip and are very fast rolling. If you are looking for a soft, wider and more comfortable tire, I would suggest a 25c type tire. I can see why these have won many Paris Roubaixs (in the tubeless form). Last year I was riding a GranFondo and it was one of my tire choices, however I went for Veloflex Corsas and they were great but I think I would of gone for the Paves instead. I may ride these all year round!!"

More or les perfect
Pros: Great Value, Attractive, Comfortable, High Quality, Rugged
"I found these tricky to get on my Mavic equipes but then most tyres are on these wheels. Once you have put a few miles on them they are super sure footed-er I mean wheeled!
They look stunning, grip like you know what to an army blanket, the only slight bug bear is that they are not super quick rolling but do get a bit quicker once they have worn a little. OH I forgot to say just how blinking comfortable they are, these really are like sitting on a carbon fibre arm chair!
Overall I dont think I would use another tyre for commuting or sportives, prob would use for crits as well, they are just amazing."

Awesome tyres....just a little pricey.
Pros: High Quality, Rugged
Cons: Expensive
"As it was approaching autumn, and i was tired of my old tyres puncturing on the rough scottish roads I ordered a set of these. I am really impressed ... they are grippy in both the wet and dry. So far (1000km) I've not had a single puncture, even after hitting rocks and pot holes. I think the best way to describe them is a mix of the best bits of mich pro3s and conti gp 4 seasons.
The only down side is the price....but i'd prefer to be a few quid lighter than stood at a roadside try to change a tube!"
