Top rear tyre
Pros: Durable, Great Value, High Quality
"This is quite often regarded as the rear tyre of choice in the Sydney area where the trails tend to be fairly dry, dusty, sandy and rocky. It deals with all of these conditons very well but is less suited to muddy conditions. The centre line makes it roll very well. It corners reasonably well but the cornering knobs aren't very pronounced and, after a lot of riding in dirt/sand, they will wear down, especially when the tyre is being run at lower pressures that you can use with tubeless tyres. It therefore gets a little skatey as it gets more worn. For gereral cross country use, I would definitely recommend."

Crash Diet
Pros: Lightweight, Versatile
"I got the Crossmax tyres along with a set of XTR wheels to help keep up with the XC heads in my club. The combination is considerably lighter and free rolling than my previous soft, fat and heavy set up.
As a free rider however I expected a big reduction in grip, sure footedness and puncture resistance. I was pleasantly surprised. The slight drop in front wheel grip is more than made up by the speed out of the bends and no punctures yet - fingers crossed. And climbing is much improved, even the slippy rooty technical stuff is OK. The only major limitation has been snow and ice, which we've had a fair bit of this winter. But they are supposed to be summer tyres."

Use it on the Rear
Pros: Durable, Great Value, High Quality
"I've run these on both the front and rear wheels. While the tyre works well on the front on hard packed trails, or fireroad etc, my preferred set up is to use this tyre on the back only.
They are comparable with Larsen's, but I prefer over the Larsen's because of the slightly ramped edge, as they seem to bight into the ground better, where as the Larsen's are much rounder.
They feel / look like a bigger bag than the 2" width suggests, and run very well at lower pressures despite my 100kg weight.
They also inflate relatively easily on my Mavic rims, only needing floor pump.
Relatively easy to pull on and off too. Very had a puncture with them (but do run stans inside as well)."

Fast in the dry
Pros: High Quality, Rugged, fast
Cons: twitchy in wet
"I swapped out my lightweight but potentially vulnerable Schwalbe Racing Ralphs for this (rear) and an Ignitor (front) for a multi-day race in the Himalaya. It was an ideal combo, coping with dry jeeps tracks to wet and muddy trails remaining quick but with sufficient control. I suspect they are more robust than the Ralphs and coped well with punctures with only 2 scoops of Stans fluid - I only noticed at the end of the day and minimal pressure was lost (running about 28-30 PSI)."

Fast cross country tyre
Pros: High Quality, Rugged
"A very fast rolling MTB tyre. Best utilised on the rear as cornering grip / high lean angles at speed prone to washing out the front . Use with stans sealant and is virtually bombproof. Love it."

Excellent for cross country (and more)
Pros: Durable, High Quality, Lightweight
Cons: Limited Color Choices
"I am extremely happy with these tyres. I run them front and rear on my singlespeed hardtail, plus on the rear on my all mountain dually.
Durable, decent bag for the size, fairly fast rolling and predictable grip (they will let go eventually, but you know its coming!)
Here's a tip: for the rear tyre, run it in the "wrong" direction. I find it gives better traction for climbing."

Speed on all surfaces
Pros: Durable, Versatile, Good Fit
"Runs well at lower pressure than my previous tyres. Nice overall grip on most surfaces without losing speed despite lowering the pressure. Have yet to try it in the wet though."

"Will be interesting to see how much milage i get out of this tyre as it is a nice all round tyre for what i do, which is mainly single or double track, bit of rocky loose dirt and some muddy conditions."

Getting a grip
Pros: Great Value, High Quality, Good Fit, cornering grip
"These Crossmark tyres have been used for both competitive and recreational use on a Giant Anthem dual susp. The shoulder design keeps a really good grip when cornering, allowing me to run higher pressures than my previous tyres. This means I am faster on the straights and I have some trophies to prove it! Really, really pleased with this product."

Summer/ commuter/ Race tyre
Pros: Durable, High Quality
"Its a fine Race XC tyre. It pumps up fairly narrow which is fine for XC whippets. Look elsewhere for heavier Trail bikes."

Went on perfectly
Pros: Great Value, High Quality, Good Fit, run at loow pressure
"My son gave me a tubless conversion kit for Xmas. He recommended I purchased two Maxxis Crossmark UST Tubeless Tyres and I used a tubless kit to instal. I watched the installation video and the Maxxis tyres went on perfectly and sealed very quickly. They hold pressure excellently and seem to give me better climbing. I run the front at 30lbs and the back at 32. Great purchase."

All Year Round
Pros: High Quality, Lightweight
"Stunning performance from this tyre. I am on my fourth set on my main bike and I have these on three other bikes. The only tyre I feel confidence in for all conditions except deep mud. Rolls very fast on hard ground. Great grip on corners. Not the greatest for wear but you dont get good grip without wear. Very light weight too."

Great all rounder
Pros: Durable, Great Value, High Quality, Versatile
"These Crossmark tyres roll well, grip pretty much everything other than muddy bogs, last pretty well (even after racing them on rocky courses), and really don't cost that much. Hard to beat for the money!"

Great fast tyre
Pros: Great Value, Versatile
Cons: wash out in loose conditions
"This tyre is fast rolling for the amount of grip that it has. I have these UST tyres on my social riding bike and I describe them as bullet proof. I have done around 1000 kms of trail riding in 12 months on these and have never had any flats. I put 30mLs of Stans in each tyre when I installed them. On the front tyre the very out knobs are now loose. They are weakest in initiating corners in loose sand gravel conditions. I see this as a minor flaw in an otherwise great all round tyre. It is just something you need to be aware of. I know some people like to put something with a bit more tread on the front and use this as a rear tyre."

dependable
Pros: Durable, Rugged, rolls well
"I only use UST tires in longer races and the crossmark is super dependable and rolls well. No problem with flats and they last quite well. They are a bit heavy (compared to exeption series) but the advantage is you know they will finish the race."

Good for Rear
Pros: High Quality, Rugged
"I use this with an All-Mountain HT bike. Its grip is not that good, but it rolls very well. And it was very easy to install on Mavic XM819."
