"I purchased this saddle on the recommendation of a knowledgeable friend and, although I probably shouldn't have been, I was still genuinely surprised at how comfortable it was on my initial ride. It fitted easily to the bike, has useful indicators of position on the rails, and I felt as though I'd been using it for ever. Some better choice of colours would be nice but, hey, who cares when you drop onto the seat after a hill effort and find instant relief!"

Best saddle i've owned so far

"Very happy with this saddle. It replaced my bikes factory padded seat and I noticed the lighter weight and quality difference immediately.
At first took me awhile to adjust to a position i was happy with after some rides and tweaks it is now great. I find that the length allows for different positions which has made long rides super comfortable. I pair with Fizik saddle bag which works amazingly well with the whole clip in system.
This is the first time buying a Fizik product and I will buy again based on this experience. It is a well designed, well made saddle. that has been a pleasure to sit on. I couldnt be happier!"

"I've read a lot about this saddle and was thinking do I really spend that much money on a saddle when I already have one on my bike. I did and I'm so glad I did its so much more comfy that the one that came on my bike. Because it is longer I can sit back if I'm just riding along but then I can get forward on it and right over my pedals when I need to get some speed up."

A saddle for the hardened cyclist

"Saddle has an appealing shape and in very light. Black fabric in centre sets off the saddle nicely. The stitching is unobtrusive and comfortable. The saddle sits very well on the bike and retains its level position.

However there is very little give or cushioning in the saddle which means that you must buy the width that suits your sit bones. Too narrow and you will suffer whereas too wide and you will not gain the benefit of what is essentially a well designed saddle.

There is a problem with the covering fabric. The manufacturer uses adhensive on the underside of the saddle to retain the fabric. It just doesn't work. The cover peeled away from the adhesive on the underside rear and it remains to be seen if the peeling will continue to the top side. Time will tell but I would not be optimistic."

Still the most comfortable...

"Bought to replace an existing Arione - this maybe a useful tip for you:-

started getting saddle sore & couldn't work out why, on close inspection, my existing saddle had a crack across the nylon base (by checking underneath the saddle) & in addition, the leather had peeled away on one side of the saddle nose, exposing the tough sub material. This had the effect of causing some very annoying discomfort. So in short, I now have the comfort back from the new saddle & the saddle sore has vanished!
The motto is, make sure you check your saddle every season to see if it needs changing, if you ride a lot - consider changing each season. This one had done approx 30,000k so you can guage from this that maybe 20-25 is ok....."

Saddle! What Saddle?

"As the title suggest, after just 100 miles using the Fizik Arione I had almost forgotten about it. Which is good. The first 10 miles it was rock hard but suddenly it just seemed to disappear from under me.

Supports my sit bones well and so far have experienced no major pressure points or soreness.

The only slight negative is that prolonged periods in the drops does cause a little pressure on the perineum. This may just require some slight saddle angle adjustment though. It's worth noting that I tried a quick 50 on it in just Tri-shorts (almost no padding) ans still found it immensely comfy.

I need more miles on it it but I'm happy with the purchase."
