Udderly Smooth Chamois Cream
Developed originally for Cyclists to help prevent chaffing, it is also good for those seeking a thicker moisturiser. Chamois cream is effective in stopping chaffing of the skin. Can be used on both short and long rides. Highly recommended in both Summer and Winter as the cream acts as a barrier preventing sweat and rain damaging the skin.

Udderly great

"OK I marked it down on appearance because lets face it, it doesn't look amazing but lets face it, when you consider where you're putting it that hardly matters.
It really does cut down on chaffing and rubbing, I use it for any rides 40 miles or over and so far I've had nno issues with it at all.
One word of caution, it can be VERY cold when applied to the skin!"

Udderly marvelous!

"What can you say about a cream that you put between your legs? Erm...!
Well, all joking aside, this cream is an absolute god send. If your a cyclist that spends a lot of time in the saddle, or someone who suffers from chaffing, then this product is certainly for you.
I fall into the first category, but I have to admit, I do, from time to time suffer "downstairs".
That feeling is not very nice, and can take the edge off of a productive training ride, or loose me seconds on the day.
I first tried the Assos version and found that to be very very good, although slightly more expensive for a smaller amount. The Udderly version is cheaper and has more per volume. The consistency is thinner then the Assos version, but this does not detract from a fine product.
The only difference that I can say between the two is the smell, Assos being minty due to the menthol ingredients, and thicker. The Udderly being thinner in consistency and having no menthol ingredients.
With regard to application, I simply place a slightly generous amount between my legs, and then smear some on the chamois of my training shorts/bibs.
I find the double helping makes sure that all areas are covered and my rides go without any problems.
I have to admit that it's a product that I cannot do without, and have at least two pots kicking about the house.
The wife explains to me that it's very similar to E45 cream, but to be honest, I have no idea.
Only one other thing to mention, and that is if you are considering a sportive ride, or a longer then normal special ride, invest in the Udderly and you'll thank me for it.

"I have used this product and also the Assos cream. Ignoring the price difference, I would deem this to be significantly better. It spreads on the shorts easier during application and has been good for 5 hours of non stop riding. I would pay the extra for this over the Assos, the fact that it is cheaper only makes it even better."

Good but not the best

"I've only limited experience with chamois cream's and using this after Assos has been a step down in my opinion.
This cream is pretty neutral in smell and goes on well but for longer 4+ hour rides I've found it a little lacking. Can't complain about the price or performance on short rides."

"I have used various creams over the years and this one is as good as the premium brands. Have used this on an epic 3 day road sportive and an off road 3 dayer as well with no soreness post both rides. Hence I can recommend it to keep your intended areas comfortable and gives you the protection we need to reduce chaffing and soreness. Also note that about you get more in these tubs than other premium brands hence seems very good value."

was it worth it?

"Over all yes. Myself and a friend used this product during a cycle from Gibraltar back to the UK it really aided comfort. If you are someone sitting on the fence unsure as to the difference it will make it is dramatic. I can not compare to other creams but the smell was rather pleasant, however if used in the morning and half asleep it really does wake you up it is freezing! However there are downsides include the size it is difficult to pack due to the rigid container. the lid is very secure so if you are touring you wont have the worry of your kit becoming covered. All together aided with reducing sores which is what it says on the tin just very cold also very good on grazes and road rash has a cooling effect."
