"Hamax sells typically brilliant Scandanavian products. We bougt the Kiss seat for our youngest (a year old) and as the most basic of Hamax's child seat we are very happy. We felt there was no need to upgrade to any of the other seats.
Our gripe (and the reason for a low score) was that your purchase comes with a standard bar which doesn't fit our bikes (and from the reviews lots of others). There was no suspension from this standard bar and our 1 year old's ride was true misery - Lots of spine jarring and teeth bashing going on.
We had no choice but to purchase another bar for small framed bikes which works a treat and comfort has been restored. It's a pity that Hamax don't give us the choice of which bar to buy at the point of purchase. Ultimately they are cleverly forcing us into making two purchases from them which is a bit of a cheap trick. Add another £15.00 contingency to your budget so you aren't disappointed like we were."

Just the job!
Pros: Good Fit, Great Value
Cons: should be an option with the seat!
"Bought a Hamax 'Sleepy' to attach to my Diamondback 29er, but once fitted the seat was resting on the back tyre even when empty! Tried it on my old Saracen and partner's Trek but with the same result... Ordered the 'support bar for small frames' but wasn't sure whether it would lift the seat enough to be of use. However, I'm pleased to report that it has solved the problem and we're all very happy with the whole set-up. The bar sets the seat about 3.5 inches higher as well as about 2 inches further back than standard which leaves plenty of room for it to flex over bumps etc. Whilst the new support bar is great, I think that Hamax have got a cheek expecting people to pay for additional parts for a brand new product - surely they should offer a choice of bar to begin with?"

Problem Solved
Pros: Adjustable, Durable, Good Fit, Great Value, High Quality
"I thought the 70 pound Hamax Siesta that I bought for my daughter will be put to waste. So glad that I found a solution that is so effective. The standard support bar that came with the carrier was not suitable for my MTB, Claud Butler Cape Wrath D27. I tried to search the internet and found the correct bar but a bit expensive. I remembered your store and very pleased to find that you've got what I was looking for. But the best of all was the price. It was much mcuh cheaper than the other stores."

Product good, Wiggle sorted problem efficiantly
Pros: Good Fit, High Quality
Cons: doesn't make a huge difference
"It makes the child seat lean backwards only a little bit more so don't expect a miracle. If you want the seat to lean more than this I would probably go for the Hamax Siesta seat instead.
Was sent the wrong item in the beginning and it took a while before I got the right support bar. Wiggle was very efficiant though with good communications and am generally happy with my purchase."

Good for small frames
Pros: Adjustable, Comfortable, Durable, Good Fit, High Quality, Rugged
"The Hamax extra bar for bikes with small frames is excellent. My wifes bike is a classic ladies bike and the standard bar supplied with the child seat simply does not fit. Thankfully Hamax make extra bars for differing solutions (lika a small frame). Now the whole family can be out together biking. The bar gives a nice springy ride for a child so you dont have to worry when you hit that little hole in the road."

Spread the word!
Pros: Durable, Good Fit, Great Value, High Quality, Rugged
"If only I'd known about these extra support bars sooner... Much of the riding I do with my 2yr old son on the back in his Sleepy seat takes me through the New Forest. For ages I'd been struggling with the seat bouncing down onto the rear wheel, to the extent that it nearly wore through a vital plastic bracket under the seat, and we hadn't been out together for weeks. I had no idea that a range of support brackets designed to solve this type of problem was available until I came across them by accident on Wiggle. Now we're back at it! My son loves being bounced around and even falls asleep back there (on the smoother sections). If you like it rough and love taking the kids you won't be disappointed."
