improved design
Pros: should last longer
"this is the third mount i've bought, the locking tabs on the old ones would snap off after only a few months (usage 2-3 imes/week)
but garmin has clearly changed the design
compared to the original mount, the material of the tab that locks the unit in place is thicker and wider...
* the original was 1.5mm thick, the new one is 0.4mm thicker
* the original was 5.2mm wide, the new one is 1mm wider
...approx. 50% increase in cross-sectional area
probably more important, the recess that the tab bends into when releasing now has a rounded edge, reducing strain on the tab when releasing
overall i think these changes will make it last a lot longer
other minor changes are that the upper part of the mount is now one piece instead of two, and has "garmin" and an arrow moulded into it
if they'd come up with a better fixing method that nylon ties then i'd give it five stars"

Does what it should.
Pros: Durable, High Quality, Rugged, Good Fit
"I bought a used Garmin 705, and it only had one mount with it.
As I have two cycles I needed another, and everything I needed was in the pack.
Not much to say really, it does what it's supposed to do."

Handy extras
Pros: Great Value, High Quality, Adjustable
Cons: Poor Fit
"I bought this kit for my Forerunner 310 XT-i know the questions and answers state it is not compatible, but it is.
I now have a bracket for my work bike, way more handy than leaving it on my wrist, and my carbon training bike.
I used the mount that came with the watch for my tri bike as this mounting is not suitable for aero bars-it will only work with round bars as the bands it comes with, loop around hook-you cannot use zip ties as with the original mount."

Two for one
Pros: Great Value, Adjustable, Good Fit
"If you buy these then you know what they are, you are probably needing them for spare bikes (or because the old one broke?). Anyway, in each pack I got two sets of mounts, so 5 stars!"

Garmin Accessory
Pros: Lightweight, Good Fit
Cons: Wears Out Easily
"Ordered this from Wiggle and came the next day - the Garmin EDGE 705 and it's predecessors have a nasty habit of coming free from your handlebar as the attachment weakens after about 23 months and fails ... this happened twice to me before. So buy a spare attachment so that you don't lose your Garmin EDGE product during your ride. Wiggle rocks!"

Garmin Edge Bike Mount
Pros: Good Fit
Cons: tab sanaps off
"As this is my 4th Garmin mount it wasn't really a suprise. The mount performs well but the release tab is a little flimsy. On some of the others I have the tab has snapped off. Could be an issue if doing offroad stuff."

Works, no it really works.
Pros: Durable, Rugged, Lightweight, Good Fit
Cons: Expensive
"As this accessory says, it DOES keep your device on your handlebars.
It comes with a good selection of different sized 'rings' to mount your device on your bars.
A definite plus - That you can yourself buy replacement 'rings' from any hardware/online store.
