THE best cycling jacket
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Attractive, Comfortable, Rugged, High Quality, Adjustable, Lightweight, Versatile, Good Fit, great colour
"Stunning jacket! I can be seen for miles around with the bright lime yellow colour. i live in the country so this aspect is essential on the country roads. i was delighted with the fit and the long bit at the back which hangs down to the bike seat.it is lightweight yet warm, i dont feel sweaty in it, and having the velcro bits down the front as well as the zip gives options when cycling. this is my first ever bike jacket purchase and i couldnt be happier with it!"

Bright for safety
Pros: Adjustable, Attractive, Comfortable, Good Fit, Lightweight, Versatile
"I feel very conspicuous in my dbd jacket but that is exactly why I bought it. It fits well without being too tight, I even use it to run in and find the under arm vents a brilliant way of cooling off without getting cold."

Much Needed
Pros: Comfortable, Good Fit, Great Value, High Quality, Lightweight
"After my ride last week and suffering the early stages of hyperthermia waiting at the car for my boyfriend with the keys (not his fault i may add). I had soaked, cold clothes and when i stopped shivering the search was on for a decent waterproof. On a budget but a good fit and 100% waterproof was priority. This is my first dhb purchase and its perfect - its roomy enough for layers and really is waterproof whist staying breathable. The windproof element and reflective strips are a bonus. I've learnt my lesson and will not ride without this."

Great jacket
Pros: Comfortable, Good Fit, High Quality, Lightweight, Rugged
"This jacket is fantastic. It's very light but totally waterproof and the fleece lining around the collar makes it very comfortable while also adding an extra bit of warmth. I bought a medium(12) even though I'm a 10, and it fits perfectly over other clothing when I need to add extra layers. As someone else mentioned, my only gripe is it could do with a small pocket at the front (there is one across the lower back), but this is being overly-critical. I have been cycling to work regularly in this & it has kept me dry & is probably one of the best purchases I have made for my commute to work. I would definitely recommend it!"

Very very satisfied with purchase
Pros: Comfortable, Good Fit, High Quality, Lightweight
"Does what it promises it will: excellent windproofing and waterproofing.
Lightweight, and comfortable.
Only complaint is lack of pockets on the sides for keys and gloves,
but all in all, an excellent product. Highly recommended.

Stay warm and dry... but sweat if it's muggy
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Attractive, High Quality, Lightweight
Cons: a little hot & sweaty
"There must have been rumours that I'd bought waterproof gear at the Weather Bureau, because the skies have kindly opened up and Melbourne is soaking in hot, muggy showers. I am uncharacteristically excited about this, because each morning I've been able to try out my brand new dhb Amberley cycling jacket.
I am so pleased with the results! The Amberley is certainly doing the trick; it is light-weight, fits well (except a little baggy around the waist?), water beads off nicely and I am staying quite dry. The material is lovely, reflective strips make me feel quite safe, the mesh on the inside and soft lining at the collar are high quality and the construction seems solid.
The pouch in the back of the jacket is very roomy, lets me carry a phone and ipod; each of which are remarkably easy to get to in a hurry. So far no problems carrying a small backpack, and neither my shoulders nor back are getting wet.
However, being one of nature's blessed nit-pickers, I have found a couple of small issues. Our weather has not been particularly COLD. We've had lots of HUMID rain. Even when I open the ventilation zips under the arms, I am sweating! At times it has felt quite uncomfortable and it's been a relief to stuff the jacket back in the bag, and ride with just my jersey on. Also, it's a shame the jacket doesn't have a pouch to roll into for easy storage. Even though it would be a bit bulky, I reckon I could fit it into the pocket of a good cycling top, and avoid having to carry a bag."

ok for the price
Pros: cheap
Cons: Not Enough Features, Poor Fit
"I'm afraid I won't rate this as highly as everyone else seems to have. Considering the price, it's not too bad but I have a few niggles:
* the black jacket has no reflective strips on the arms at all (even though it shows them in the picture) - that's a serious drawback as car drivers cannot see you indicate with your arms when it's dark.
* definitely could do with a pocket at the front - as a commuter I don't find the back pocket particularly useful for my season ticket, so lots of fumbling needed
* the jacket is quite short at the front, so when wearing a fleece layer underneath, it sticks out and gets wet in the rain
* the sticky zip (which other folks have mentioned as well)

Good Value and fit
Pros: Great Value, Good Fit, lots of reflective patterns on it
"I ordered this jacket and one other as I couldn't choose between them from the website. This was a really good fit and suited me best. It is defintely waterproof as I could caught out in a downpour last weekend. I was warm and toasty but my feet weren't. some waterproof overshoes are next on the shopping list!"

Very good value
Pros: Great Value, Comfortable, Lightweight
Cons: zip sticks a little
"I read the reviews before buying on sizing and went a size up - I am normally a 12 and went to a 14 which was fine. I would rather it be a little bigger so you can wear layers underneath than too small. It is very bright, completely windproof and waterproof. Air vents in the armpits are great for longer rides or if you pick up pace. It is a very good buy at a great price and I would highly recommend it. The zip is a little tricky, but you get the hang of it."

Great jacket
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Attractive, Comfortable, High Quality, Rugged, Lightweight, Versatile, Good Fit
"I cycle to work on country roads and lanes all year round so need to be seen as well as stay warm and dry. My budget was somewhat limited too so this jacket was the answer. I'm so pleased I chose it. It fits perfectly, its warm with great venting which helps regulate temperature in finer weather. this also makes it great for running in. It is also 100% waterproof which is such a bonus. Can't think of a bad thing to say about this jacket - I'm very happy with it."

Great Value
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Attractive, Comfortable, High Quality, Lightweight, Versatile
Cons: lack of side pocket
"Very impressed with this jacket. Kept me totally warm and dry while cycling in the rain. Airflow was also very good. It looks great (I got the black one), and the quality is very good. Only niggle is, as others have stated, it could do with side pockets - but at this price for a quality jacket I'm really not that bothered.
I bought a size 14 and did find it a little bit too big but I have a small back in comparison to my chest so not sure if the 12 would have been a bit too small in the bust. However if you're planning on wearing thick clothing underneath stick to your normal size.

More great DHB value
Pros: Great Value, Attractive, Lightweight
"Great value wind and rain stopper with refective detailing. Seems to do everything it should. Very minor criticism from the missus that it should have a zip pocket on the front and a loop for hanging up,"

Good VFM in the sale
Pros: Great Value
"Having read the reviews I initially sized up on this jacket and ordered the 14 but it was way too large when it arrived, returned it for the 12 which to be honest is still a generous fit - more of a commuter cut I think. It's a relatively heavy jacket but the ventilation seems good - haven't really tested it in any weather to speak of so can't really comment."

Great Value
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Comfortable, High Quality, Good Fit
Cons: could do with a front pocket or two.
"I purchased this in bright yellow for myself and black for both my daughters (for Xmas). I wanted to be visible when riding on the road and it does the job well.
It fits well, is comfortable to ride in and adequately long in the back and sleeves.
At first the zip seems hard to do up but, as Arkwright from 'Open All Hours' would say "J J J J J jiggle it a bit Granville," and you get the hang of doing it up!
Could do with a front pocket.
This is the usual well performing good value you get from DHB and I'm sure my daughters will be glad to receive these rather than pretty frocks!

Great value
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Comfortable, High Quality, Lightweight, Good Fit
"I've only had my jacket a few weeks, but it has already survived some heavy downpours and kept me completely dry. It's also fairly windproof. Haven't had any issues with breathability, though I haven't tested it for long periods of time.
It's not a heavy coat so it packs up fairly small, but with layers underneath it fares perfectly well in chilly weather.
It's a really good fit - close but not tight and room for winter layers - and so comfortable you don't really notice you're wearing it (apart from the colour of course). It's a little short in the body for me - I'm very tall - though the arms are good and long."

Perfect but for the zip
Pros: Great Value, Attractive, Comfortable, Adjustable, Good Fit
Cons: Low Quality
"A really great jacket. I use it on my daily commute and the insulated collar and zip vents give a good amount of flexibility in temperature. I've taken it on a couple of bigger rides too, and I was a little hot to be honest even with the vents open.
The major drawback is the zip, though, as mentioned previously. There's a bit of a nack to it, but even now it can take me a couple of minutes to zip up. I took this is into consideration when buying this relatively cheap jacket.
Had to buy the ladies version because the men's hi-vis was out of stock - bit short on me but otherwise a nice fit.
Folds into rear pocket too which is a good feature.
Overall a good winter jacket for commuting, not so good in the summer or on bigger rides, and the dodgy zip is a constant reminder that it was the cheapest jacket around!"
