Hmmmm
Cons: Low Quality, Wears Out Easily
"Was okay untila little bit of water got into frame. The threaded parts corroded really bad in little time. Can't see any reason why it went so bad, as it was all carefully greased etc. Ultegra BB lasted longer. Now running either Ultegra or Hope BBs on my bikes."

An easy upgrade
Pros: Great Value, High Quality
"My 105 bottom bracket was getting 'gritty' on one side after about 10,000km so I replaced it with this. For the few dollars more it cost for the Dura Ace I don't see why you would go for anything less. I'm not sure it's that much better than the 105, but it certainly isn't worse."

Top quality from Shimano
Pros: High Quality, Good Fit
"My bike came with a FSA Mega Exo bottom bracket which started feeling rough and making creaking noises after only about 1000 k's. This Dura Ace bottom bracket fitted in easily and is a much smoother item.
I will stick with Shimano components for my bikes from now on.

Silky Smooth
Pros: Durable, Attractive, High Quality, Good Fit
"I've just replaced my crankset and bottom bracket (bb). Instead of going for the 105 bb I decide to upgrade to the top spec Dura-Ace bb. Shimano road bb seem to be completely cross-compatible, so considering the relatively small price difference between the 105 and Dura-Ace bb it seemed like a good investment. The result is a silky smooth feel and a major improvement over the ageing FSA bb it replaced.
Check Shimanos website for a bb / crankset compatibility chart. Also take care to order the correct thread, English or Italian. My bike is a Specialized Allez so I ordered the English thread. Fitting was easy using the Park Tools bb cup.
It's too early to comment on durability etc."

Durable BB
Pros: Durable, High Quality
"Given the price differentials, there's no rationale reason to drop below dura ace for Shimano BBs."

Worth the extra few quid
Pros: Great Value, High Quality, Lightweight, easy to fit
"very easy to install, excellent quality, replaced my Sora BB and the bike feels very smooth when pedalling now.
Not put too many miles in with it so can't comment on durability but if it's like the rest of the dura ace range it will be fine"

Fit and forget
Pros: High Quality, Lightweight
"Like most high-end Shimano components, this is well engineered, easy to fit and, if previous experience is anything to go by, will last a good while. I didn't actualy wear my previous one out, I just thought it would be sensible to change it at the same time as the chainset.
Bottom brackets are seldon considered with much excitement and for many they will just want something that is long-lasting, lightweight, and (most importantly) compatible with their chainset/frame! This one ticks the boxes for me."

Plastic inner
Cons: Wears Out Easily
"I did not at all like that the inner bearing cover (the bbs' contactsurface to the crank shaft) was made of plastic. That was the reason for my previous bb (FSA MegaExo) to fail"

Pros: High Quality
"Brought as a replacement for use with a 2007 FSA Gossamer crankset. (the old bb has 10k Miles on it) Was concerned that it wouldn't fit, but needn't have worried. Slightly tighter on the crank spindle than the old one but works wonderfully. With just over 500 miles on it since installation its smooth as silk, looking forward to the next 10K miles.
Delivery and service from Wiggle excellent as always."
