Re-waterproof your waterproofs
Pros: High Quality, does what it says it should
"My Montane Velo jacket had lost its resistance to rain and I was starting to get wet - one wash with TX Direct Wash and it was like new, the rain beading and running off rather than soaking in. Brilliant!"

It works, but you do need a tumble dryer
Cons: Expensive
"Extends the life of expensive waterproof gear, but doesn't work anything like as well as it can if you haven't got access to a tumble dryer that gets things genuinely warm. (Owners of 'condenser' type tumble dryers / combined washer/dryers beware.) Also it's a bit pricey. Cheaper (much!) than buying new gear though."

Does the job
Pros: Durable, Great Value
"I used this on some gore-tex trousers and jackets which had stopped "beading". After one wash the gear all returned to "new"... completely waterproof.
It does seem expensive, and camping shops always try to persuade you to buy some..... now I know why. There is no point buying decent gear, then not looking after it.
I'm not actually sure how it works... it seems to be a combination of magic, sorcery, illusion and jiggery pokery! Either way, it does the job."

Cons: Poor Quality, Expensive, not convinced it works
"Tried this on four items total so far.
1 very thin waterproof cycling hivis
1 slightly thicker (the "sweaty" plastic type) waterproof
1 Gill cycling jacket
1 rucksack.

I wasn't really expecting the first 2 to improve, being not very absorbent, but I really bought it for the gill jacket.
None of them are any more waterproof than before. Suggest you research very carefully what this product is for before buying."

Reproofs rain jackets
Pros: High Quality
"Used after washing with the Nikwax Tech Wash, this will waterproof your rain jacket and prevent you having to buy a new one as quickly.
For it to work effectively, you do need to wash it with the Tech Wash first though - it isn't worth cutting that corner.
But if you do ride a lot in the UK, you will at some point want to try this when your jacket's been through the winter - it should make it waterproof again, if it was to begin with."
