Pros: Good Fit, Great Value, Lightweight
"I have just purchased this light and have been borrowing the same light from a friend who purchased there's from wiggle.
This light is awesome.
It fits really snuggly to the handle bars, the battery pack is the biggest bonus because it is small, it just sits nicely on my cross bar. I dont have to worry about a huge batter pack in my bottle holder. You can leave the light on all the time its not noticable or bulky. The light lasts for hours and charges via USB cable on the computer.
I ride at 5am in the morning and it has been very dark. it throws out plenty of light particularly on the sides of the road. Not sure who good it would be riding through the bush though. It is bright enough for cars to dip there headlights.
It is a good buy because anything similar to buy in Australia will cost me another $100 on top of what I spent on this light"

"I looked at many lights and read many reviews before I opted for this little light - and I do mean LITTLE, it is very tiny indeed. I wanted to have a light that would see me ok for commuting and night riding/training and this is just the thing. Installation was easy and quick - mounting on the stem beacause the cable is not long enough to put the battery pack on the frame, the beam is brilliantly bright and more than adequate for night riding but for night trais I would use a 2nd helmet light also, battery life is around the quoted times of 3hrs and to be able to recharge from a USB is very handy - remember to fully charge the light when it first comes. Overall as the stars say 5/5 Great. regards"

Pros: Lightweight
"I did a lot of research before buying this light and one of the reasons for getting it was the ability to plug into a USB port. This is very handy, comes with a USB cable and also a wall socket cable in case you don't have a PC/laptop available.
The light is very bright compared to my old Cateye halogen bulb and comes with 3 different sized O rings to attach to any sized frame/bars etc.
The battery pack is lightweight too and attaches anywhere on the bike with a great velcro strap.
Overall, highly recommended."

Pros: Adjustable, High Quality, Lightweight, Versatile
"Bought this light for commuting on quiet roads where there are no street lights, not only does it spread enough light as you are riding but because it is clearly seen by oncoming cars they dip thier lights so I do not have to be blinded by them. It is easily fitted and removed when parked at work etc and is small enough to just drop in bag without having to worry about space. Charges up great with USB port making it even easier. Also have used it for night ride on 7 stanes at Newcastleton and it worked really well, with a widespread of light but also a good centre focus to help spot obstacles on track. Really pleased."

Pros: Adjustable, Durable, High Quality, Rugged, you can see where you're going!
"I do a lot of canal tow path + country lane cycling with my bike club - and therefore wanted a light which would keep me out of the water or ditches.
This light does exactly that - and with a long life battery.
I use a Cateye EL135 around town (excellent for being seen by others) - and therefore ensure that the NiteRider battery is still full when when the street lights cease.
I would not hesitate to recommend this light one jot.
It might be small, but it packs one mighty punch!"

"I've only recently started looking at lights for the ocassional night ride, the Niterider minewt is perfect if you're just starting out, its not too expensive, it might be small but its powerful, and is bright enough to light up everything you need to see at a good distance ahead. I'd recommend this for any one just starting out on night riding and also any one who commutes as the oncoming will definately see you coming!"

Date: February 4, 2010Bright and cheap to run!
Pros: Adjustable, Attractive, Good Fit, Great Value, High Quality, Lightweight, Rugged, Versatile Cons: no brightness setting
"If you've not used rechargable lights before, then these are a great place to start. They are bright enough to get you through unlit routes, and certainly more than bright enough in an urban setting. I have the previous non-usb version of this light and this one is way lighter. The cable attachment is also offset to one side which means that if you strap it to the top tube like I do, it won't get in the way of the stem. Small detail, but it means you have more positioning options. The run time is decent, certainly enough to get you through a reasonable night time training run, but a little disappointing that it doesn't have a brightness setting to lower power when you don't need enough juice. USB charging feature is great for commuters - saves you from carrying the charger around."

Pros: Durable, High Quality, Lightweight, Rugged
"Durable enough to survive the twice-daily attachment to and removal from handlebars that comes with commuting and more than bright enough for suburban and city riding, this light has been absolutely brilliant (pun intended) for commuting.
I thought the USB charging was just a gimmick, but have ended up using it a lot (battery life is close to the claimed 3 hours). Both light and battery are totally waterproof (survived the 2009 Exmoor Beast) and are lightweight and small enough to fit on even crowded handlebars."

Date: January 1, 2010great light
Pros: Great Value, High Quality, Lightweight, Rugged Cons: Not Enough Features
"i bought this mainly for the flexability of being able to recharge via usb. this means you dont have to by a seperate charger for the office or carry the mains charger around with you. it gives out impresive light for its size, which is suprisingly spread across the road in front of you not in a narrow beam which again its small size might suggest. on a full charge the output is more than adequate for commuting, it adds light to the road even under street lights. i guess with hindsight i should have bought the helmet version for that flexibility but its good enough to warrent a second purchase.
i have only had it a few weeks and so far the only down side is the lack of power settings to safe battery life or a flash mode. but i run my previous light on flash to really draw attention to myself"

Date: December 30, 2009Good value commuter light
Pros: Adjustable, Attractive, Great Value, High Quality, Lightweight
"Very good purchase for the money. The illumination it provides is fine for even the darkest parts of my commute, it fits easily and weighs very little. My only gripe would be that unless you position it quite carefully, the battery cable has a habit of popping out when you steer round tight corners. The battery life is advertised - not enough to see you through the Dunwich Dynamo but more than enough for most purposes."

Date: December 19, 2009not as good as I expected
Pros: Lightweight
"I bought this because my cateye EL530 eats batteries, and I wanted a re-chargeable light. Charging it up is great. But the light isn't as good as I expected. It's better than my old light (with old-ish batteries), at spread out light, but not really any better straight ahead. It doesn't have the nice bright spotlight effect. I'm not confident that I'm not going to hit potholes on unlit country roads with this, whereas with my old with fresh batteries I was. Also I think I'm going to spend some time playing with the directional adjustment with the beam. When it arrived it was so loose that when I rode on rough roads it wobbled everywhere and I had to re-point it every 100metres. But because you need to redirect the beam to get the light on and off the bike it can't be too tight."

Date: December 17, 2009Great Built Quality, Lacks True Light Power
Pros: Lightweight
"Super build quality as always from this company, it’s the second light that I've owned from them. I find both the battery and light easy enough to get on and off the bike even with Assos winter gloves on.
Light is good for commuting provided there is some street light about but I have to be honest and say if your serious about the winter miles (I’m a CAT 1 rider) for example heavy rain on back roads with no light other then this and it comes up a little short because you can’t quiet make out pot holes, the good old is it isn’t it a pot hole melarky isn’t quiet good enough if your trying to do serious mileage after work in the pitch dark.
Good for the money but don’t buy it if you want serious miles on back roads this winter it’ll be a bit of a waste, USB charger is super handy for work though!"

Pros: Attractive, Durable, Good Fit, Great Value, High Quality, Lightweight, Rugged, Versatile Cons: Expensive, only one power setting
"Very small but very powerful. Perfect for commuting and can handle unlit stuff very well too. I ride mainly in the New Forest and it's fine for that (flat terrain, not too fast, a few obstacles).
Built to last and you dont have to worry about it in the rain. Very simple mounting system, easy and quick to fit and remove. Lasts much longer than stated running time but gets so dim after 4ish hours that it's more of a light to alert your presence on the road (I let it run to empty and it shone past 6 hours).
Please see attached video!"

"I bought this mainly as a commuting light down my towpath ride to replace some ageing halogens with lead acid battery. The performance for such a small unit is just fantastic and I can even charge it at work through the USB cable. I've also been using it as back-up light for my main off road riding lights where it's prooved through it's light weight and performance, to be really worthwhile."
