Great waterproofs
Pros: Durable, Attractive, Comfortable, High Quality, Adjustable, Lightweight, Good Fit
Cons: Expensive
"I wanted a pair of waterproof trousers that would look ok off the bike (i.e. not to loud, not shiney, etc). They do that and they're not too hot either! They are pricey, but I think worth it. The fit is great too"

Good all round waterproofs
Pros: Durable, Attractive, Comfortable, High Quality, Rugged, Adjustable, Good Fit
"These are quite stylish, and easy to adapt, with a zip on one side at the bottom, plus a velcro fastener to tighten further. They have a couple of hip pockets and a two press stud fasteners. They have kept my legs dry in downpours. I suppose they are a little bulky, but anythign lighter would probably be less robust and effective."

Great Pants
Pros: Durable, Comfortable, High Quality, Adjustable, Lightweight, Versatile, Good Fit
Cons: Limited Color Choices
"I bought these for the wet, but it hasn't rained! They are however great for cold weather. I've worn them in sub-zero temps with only compression longs under and they're just perfect. The waist is adjustable and elasticated and the ankle velcro works well. I'll scream if they don't keep out the wet, but the build quality looks good and I'm sure they will. I'm 185cms and 75cm waist; the medium size fits perfectly and they look quite good (for waterproof cycling pants). Highly recommended."

Good in the rain
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Comfortable, High Quality, Adjustable, Lightweight, Good Fit
"Bought these for the journey to work. The key feature is that they are breathable. Nice fit, I was a bit concerned with the price but they are excellent quality so are value for money. All good in my opinion."

High quality weatherproof biking trousers
Pros: Durable, Comfortable, Rugged, High Quality, Adjustable
Cons: Expensive
"Plenty of cheaper trousers on the market but it is worth paying a little extra to get these cycling trousers from Altura. They are clearly a high quality item, ideal for an all-weather commute or randonee, taking all the rain, snow and spray thrown at them without problem. Fit is good and provides excellent freedom of movement without riding-up or chafing. Wash / dry is simple and after many turns in the machine still looks good and does the job."

Excellent cycling overtrousers
Pros: Comfortable, High Quality, Rugged, Adjustable, Lightweight
Cons: Expensive, Poor Fit
"I've ordered these cycling overtrousers finally after my old pair finally died. These are quite comfortable, breathable and light. I was surprised with the quality of the fabric. The lower leg velcro+zip combo is very convenient for putting in, even with walking boots on. The rear reflective band is a welcome addition - even though these trousers are not the most night-visible of models they are adequate. The leg extensions are very useful since I can make the trousers sit on my shoes better and not creep up my legs as I pedal. As for cons, they could fit better. The waist is adjustable but they feel a bit too baggy. I don't think I could get smaller than medium as I am 6 ft and the length is just about right."

Pros: Durable, Attractive, Comfortable, High Quality, Rugged, Adjustable, Lightweight, Versatile, Good Fit
"They are certainly not cheap, at £70 their quite expensive. But their deffinatly worth it. Ive used them in horrendous weather for over an hour, and the water just runs off them, leaving me perfectly dry inside. I suppose this is the least you would expect from a 'water proof' product, but other trousers ive worn start to leave you a bit wet after a while, these not so. Their adjustable everywhere you need them to be, around the waist and ankle. And the leg length is adjustable using the 'cuff' which adds an extra inch or so to the total length. Theres extra material around the knees giving them propper cycling cut which means the ankles dont ride up when you cycling. All the zips are tapered and so far ive had no problems keeping my phone dry in them. A major plus for me is that they aint shiny or rubbery/waxy like standard waterproofs. They look and feel like track suit pants and their super light. Easily a 10/10 product for me."

Scratchy inside
Pros: Adjustable, Versatile, Good Fit
Cons: Bulky, scratchy inside
"I wouldn't really want to wear these without leggings inside - the waterproofing on the shaping seams makes them quite scratchy against my skin. On the other side, if I overlook that issue, I find them very warm and suitably waterproof. The waistband adjusters work well for me (tall woman wearing men's trousers) and although the button-up trouser cuffs are inconvenient when walking around sans shoes, that's a minor niggle compared to the benefits they bring keeping socks dry. I've not worn these in truly foul weather yet - I'm sure the Scottish winter will oblige soon enough, but they seem to be a good investment."

Great Trousers
Pros: Great Value, Attractive, Comfortable, Adjustable, Lightweight, Versatile, Good Fit
"These trousers are great in every respect. They are light, windproof, waterproof (Only time I am wet is from sweat) Overall really pleased and the only thing I need now is an Attack jacket (currently have a Nevis jacket which is good but I feel the Attack would be more waterproof) If you want decent trousers buy these. I wear them with just boxers and find them just fine."

Not really convincing
Pros: Durable, Attractive, Comfortable, Adjustable, Versatile, Good Fit
Cons: Expensive, Limited Color Choices, performance not as expected
"I bought them a month ago and so far had only two opportunities to wear them in the rain. At the first time out (in pouring rain) I tried to open the leg extender, which is tucked away inside the leg and held in place by 3 plastic snap buttons. In doing so I tore one button completely out of the fabric. Why Altura didn't reinforce the button by simply extending a close-by velcro is totally beyond me. In terms of keeping you dry I have to say that I'm somewhat disappointed. They aren't really better than my breathable army rain trousers which only cost me about £15. Granted, the Altura's fit is a lot better suited for bike riding, but when your legs and esp. your groin start to get soaked then that's more uncomfortable than poor fitting trousers. I think there are trousers that do the same job but cost a lot less than the £71 that I've paid."

Keep you dry
Pros: Durable, Comfortable, Adjustable, Good Fit
"first time out and got caught in the wake of a bus driver deliberately driving into a puddle to soak me, theses trousers threw the water off!
Did 35 miles over two journeys wearing these and kept me dry, bit damp inside from sweating but nothing too dramatic and I was hammering the pace."

Good but costly, watch the size
Pros: Durable, High Quality
Cons: Expensive, Not Enough Features, Bulky, Limited Color Choices
"Heavy duty waterproofs don't pack as small as I thought. When on, they do the job they are made for. No water gets through and they are very breathable. Not great for wearing all the time on a ride though - have the feel of standard waterproofs. I found the size hard to judge as I was borderline on the sizing so this may be a personal grumble. I would say they come up large! Great quality and performance but be aware, they are just waterproof pants..."

Very effective waterproofs.
Pros: Attractive, Comfortable, High Quality, Good Fit
Cons: Expensive, Limited Color Choices
"These trousers certainly keep you dry. They look great and have a build quality that in my opinion is second to none. The only downside is that on warmer days they can get extremely warm but it's a small price to pay."

Just what I was looking for
Pros: Adjustable, Attractive, Comfortable, Durable, High Quality, Lightweight, Rugged, Versatile
Cons: Expensive
"I mainly cycle to work and after having survived the wet weather with a cheap pair of waterproof trousers (which had slowly but surely lost their waterproofness over the 4 years I've been wearing them) I decided to invest in a better quality pair. The price was a bit more than I was originally prepared to pay but these totally meet my requirements (as I suppose they ought for the slightly higher price). Very comfortable (I even wear them without trousers or leggings underneath), look good, keep you dry, lightweight. I'm a 32" waist and went with the large size, after reading several reviews on waist sizes, because 32" is the top end of the medium waist fit. They are perhaps a touch on the large size, even with the velcro adjustment straps pulled to their full extent, but I chose not to swap them as I expect the medium would be less flexible should I sometimes wear these over shorts or leggings for example. They are perhaps a little but bulky when stuffing into your rucksack or paniers but nothing that some more careful folding wouldn't resolve."

Marvellous
Pros: Adjustable, Comfortable, Good Fit, Lightweight, waterproof
"Good waterproof adjustable trousers with pockets. I started out with the waterproof attack shorts which are also good. The cold weather encouraged me to go for this full length version. You can also wear these in the pub without looking like a lycra lout. My mission to save the country boozer has been made easier with this purchase. Buy some and tell your friends."
