Plug in baby ...
Pros: Attractive, Comfortable, Durable, Versatile, simple
Cons: tyres
"This is just a beautiful bike. I work in Edinburgh which is pretty hilly but haven't found a hill you can't grind it up yet ... although to be fair I have not yet tried to get up to the Obervatory on it ...
I cycle around 20km to and from work most days on a mix of busted pavement / towpath & a little on road. I completely agree with above comment re: quality of factory tyres: Charge - what are you playing at ...? Unfortunately I'd already spent around £25 between gas cartridges / tubes / patches before I realised what the issue was and stuck on a set of slightly wider and tougher Schwalbe Marathons...and so happy I did. With the old Kendas, the ride could be pretty jarring ... as you might expect given it's based on a track bike...but the vast majority of these things will not ACTUALLY be ridden on a track ... the Kendas were low volume and paper thin - bad combo for a real-life bike. With the Marathons it's a much more versatile bike - it's the bike I thought I was buying... so Charge ... please sort it out - you're doing yourself a disservice fitting those Kenda things ... knotch the price up £20 and spec some decent rubber ...
Other than that ... this bike is AWESOME ... do it !

Cool training machine
Pros: Attractive, Comfortable, Versatile
Cons: not very lightweight
"I live on the shores of lake Zürich and am a keen cyclist and mountain-biker, summer and winter. I was looking for a bike to ride the 10km to work and hack around locally, which wouldn't mean dressing in my full cycle gear for a few minutes. The Plug Charger seemed the ideal choice and I haven't been disappointed. The gearing is ideal to make the climbs tough but doable and make it a challenge to spin along the flat. I ride the freewheel version, not yer having braved turning the rear wheel around to the fixed cog. Comfortable saddle and good wide handlebars for control. Time will tell whether the bike is durable and how the quality is as it ages, but for the moment in any case I am happy. The cool, retro design pulls looks, so I'm glad I live in Switzerland where bikes aren't stolen as much as some other places!"

Lovely Bike
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Attractive, Comfortable
"First one speed bike I've had and it's a joy to ride. At £300 it looked like a total steal and feel it is proving to be just so!!
5/6 mile commute on and off a train and the one gear does require hard work but once the gear is turning it's a nice nippy ride and is providing a good work out for the pins.
All in all, a top buy with top service!"

Smooth Rider
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Attractive, Comfortable, High Quality, Adjustable, Versatile, Good Fit
Cons: Limited Color Choices
"I use my bike mainly for transportation purposes within London - so I've never needed gears. What I do need is a bike that's strong (so that one of the many potholes on London roads won't kill it) and has tight brakes.
The Charge Plug is exactly that. Plus it's incredibly smooth and thus fast, which makes it an absolute joy to ride. I am usually one of the first to break out from the traffic lights. It feels like everything just fits in really well, the chain is good quality, the crank set is solid, the brakes are tight, the seat is comfortable enough and I personally love the bullhorn handlebar and the branded brown tape they've used.
I've had it for about three weeks now and used it almost every day... that's not long enough to know much about wear and tear, but it's been snowing and raining a lot and I haven't noticed anything yet.
hope this helps"

Excellent bike at excellent price!
Pros: Great Value, Attractive, Comfortable, High Quality, Lightweight, Good Fit, lightweight for a mountain biker!
Cons: Limited Color Choices
"i ordered the Charge Plug from Wiggle in their sale - which made the bike an even better purchase at just £300! the bike seems well made and very nicely put together - and as a fixed / single speed it is my intention to use it for training on the road in between mountain biking. whilst i have read reviews that the tires can be delicate (prone to punctures), we shall wait and see if this is the case, but even if it is, for the sake of buying two better tires this bike is still an absolute bargain!"

Charge!
Pros: High Quality, Lightweight
"I bought this bike as a replacement for a hybrid that I bought a few years ago. I was slightly worried that the single gear would make going up hills an absolute pain, but because the bike is very light, this isn't a problem at all. I've also found that on the flat the bike is extremely quick. Overall a very good bike."

very satisfied
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Attractive
"I snapped up this bike on wiggle's 40% off deal. Couldn't be happier.
Steering is fantastic. Narrow handlebars means i can nip through all sorts of traffic, whilst the bullhorns are extremely comfortable. Drop-downs seem unnecessary when you're stopping at lights every 2 minutes.
She looks beautiful. Better than in the photo. Blue frame with brown handlebars/saddle just works. Even a local bum seemed to think so (by stroking it and saying 'stay, stay' - nothing a decent lock can't fix! ..touch wood)
I found the frame sizes to be quite large - I chose an M over an S and as a result have to have the saddle in almost the lowest position. I'm 5'10".
I've been riding everyday for a 2 months now and no problems so far, not even a puncture. Seems simple, sturdy and reliable.
My only issue is that I could be going much faster. I might buy my own crankset. Then again I don't have any serious hills to climb."

Very pleased
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Attractive, Comfortable, High Quality, Rugged, Lightweight, Versatile, Good Fit
Cons: no quick release on wheels
"A really good buy with only a couple of minor issues - for the original price I would have liked the fixed wheel cog already assembled and to have quick release to ease the time when inevitable punctures occur.
The bike looks good and handles really well.

Pros: Durable, Great Value, Attractive, Comfortable, Rugged, High Quality, Adjustable, Good Fit, good looks
Cons: Limited Color Choices
"This bike is joy to ride. Its simplicity, its looks, the ergonomics are all just spot on.
I just love this bike. Its perfect for commuting and hacking around town but you can also take it out on longer rides, only the most steepest hills will be un-do-able.
i enjoy the low maintenence of this bike so like riding in the rain, knowing just a quick wash is all that's needed to keep it gleaming. No gears etc to worry about.
Its not even that heavy, its actually quite light weight, but feels so strong and sturdy."

"The Charge Plug is cool to the power of 10x. I love it and my radness has increased now that I own one. Girls who would have never noticed me now stare as I ride past. Are they Looking at the Charge, I ask? No I think not, their looking at the fully sick dude riding it! Thanks Wiggle and Charge for making my world a much better place to ride around in. Cheers Pinna Xx"

commute machine
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Attractive, Comfortable, Rugged, Good Fit
Cons: poor paint
"I enjoy my commute now!
This bike is solid, looks nice (in my opinion), and rides well.
I was very surprised at how big the sizing is though, but thanks to good advice from Wiggle staff (far better advice than I received than a charge employee regarding frame size) man and machine are in perfect harmony!
My only criticism is that the paint job is woefully thin so I have had to resort to some of that ridiculous heli tape to preserve what is left of the top tube paint.
I love this bike, if you can find one buy it and save some cash for a re-srpay."

Pros: Great Value, Attractive, High Quality, Rugged, Adjustable

"Been riding this around the bumpy roads of Brooklyn and it's been great! Most of my friends couldn't believe that I got it for under $500 US. Easy to assemble, comfortable ride and gets lots of comments about its looks."

Great Commuter
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Attractive, Comfortable, High Quality
Cons: Not Enough Features
"Solidly built, low maintenance, with high quality components, steel frame seems to smooth out bumps and potholes more than my carbon fibre road bike. Used for a 30 mile round trip commute so the grinder would probably have been a better choice, but 23c tyres and Crud crud roadracer mk2 are effective. Sizing - I was a little surprised that at 174cm I found the large to be a better fit so worth checking first. Probably not the lightest but overall highly recommended."

A steal at this price
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Attractive, Comfortable, Rugged
"Love this bike! Took delivery, added own spd s, adjusted beautiful and comfortable tan saddle and rode away. Two days later took on club ride and it behaved handsomely .
Climbing felt very secure, off saddle, with hands on 'Bull Horn' handlebars.
Brakes excellent. It's my early Christmas present.
At just under £300 its a 'steal' and great fun.

Charge me up!
Pros: Great Value, Attractive, High Quality, Versatile
Cons: a bit of a one trick pony
"If you are looking for a stylish way to get around then you can't go wrong with this retro throwback to a bygone age of cycling simplicity. The brown leather saddle and bar tape really set off the deep blue frame, but looks aren't everything as the simple drive train and unusually anchored brake levers deal with the daily stop and go admirably. At the price that Wiggle sell the Charge you simply can't loose, and your cold crisp winter rides will have that touch of nostalgia."
