Crazy Value
Pros: Great Value, Attractive, High Quality, Lightweight, smooth
"I'm sure part of the reason (despite how small a part) one buys high-end Campagnolo components is the art and beauty. And it's no different with these cranks. you do miss out on the sexy red logo on the 2011 model. I replaced a 53-39 Record crankset for the hills around Kinglake Vic but I'm leaving them on because the ability to accelerate on the flat just makes them so much more sensible. They are very light but there is no discernible flex with a full load one a pedal - certainly not with my 70 odd KG of weight and power. But what you really notice with these is the CULT bearings - put down the power and it feels completely frictionless. You can just stand on a pedal and there is no friction whatsoever. There is a difference between these and the USB. For the price I paid, I could not buy a cheaper model and upgrade to ceramic bearings so it has to be 5 stars."

Pros: High Quality, Lightweight
Cons: Expensive
"This compact crank was bought to replace a full Chorus crank which i found to be heavy going uphill. I have used it for a week and it has helped with climbing hills. It is light weight and very responsive. The cost is one factor against it."

beautifully made
Pros: Attractive, High Quality, Lightweight
"stunningly beautiful, and incredibly easy to install (with the correct tools). have now completed over 1000kms with no issues, as beautiful as the day it arrived. living in a mountainous area the compact crank has saved me many a time! if you think it's expensive you're looking at the wrong group-set!"

Worthwhile for Mountains
Pros: Attractive, High Quality, Lightweight
"I live in a somewhat hilly location but still never really had any problems with my 53/39 Super Record. However, a trip to France that included climbing Alpe d'Huez, Mont Ventoux and the Tourmalet was enough to persuade me to pick up the compact crankset. I'm glad I did. The extra 15% efficiency in cadence is noticable and appreciated when climbing. I noticed at the Tour de France that some of the pros' bikes were running Record, not Super Record... but when I had a chance to speak with a team mechanic he informed me that the only reason they sometimes do that is because they have to add a few grams to the bikes here and there to meet the minimum weight specifications."
