"I have used these shoes before and had great wear out of them. I think that the price is resonable for what you get and I am not a serious runner, but i still want a great performing shoe. I find the asics brand a good fit for my fee>"

"I think these trainers are brilliant, I run about 40k a week and about every 3 months my knees start to hurt which is nature's way of telling me, REPLACE YOUR RUNNING SHOES! These have been going for at least 4 months and there is no sign of the shock absorbtion giving out. Like all asics shoes [for me] they are comfortable striaght out of the box and I use them happily on a variety of terrain, trails and fairly gnarly hills; not just roads. I liked them so much I have already bought a second pair which I use just on the road, at least until the other pair finally give out."

"These give a very firm run so possibly not everyones cup of tea. However, they do always seem ultra stable which for me keeps me injury free. I think a bit expensive but if they work for you it's probably good value. Worth a try definitely but don't exepect to bounce along like you're on a cusion of air !!"

"The GT 2140 is a great training shoe for those seeking stabilty and high km's in their runs. Excellent heel cushioning and a solid performer for longer runs. However I found the GT 2140 to be lacking support in the forefoot and feels a little sloppy in the toe box."

Good allrounder

Cons: hard forefoot sole
"The GT-2140 is a great allrounder for the runner with light overpronation. I tend to find it hard to find a shoe with the right level of support because I am close to neutral, but this shoe does the trick. However, the forefoot sole is a bit hard, but you get use to it. A great buy!"

"A great shoe that maintains the standards set by the GT2130 and earlier shoes. Offers good stabiltiy and cushioning. I tried an alternative shoe after my last pair of GT2130s but was only 1 1/2 months before I had to come back to Asics and this ever reliable range."

"After using a variety of makes of running shoes, I have found the Asics 21x0 series a consitently good trainer.
Used for high milegage training, they are comfortable, give a good balance of weight and support.
On commuting runs, they perform well in the wet britsh weather, and do not rub / irittate when wet."

"Asics should be the best and primary choice for both beginers in the running sport and well seasoned runners.
I have been using Asics for these last 12 years and I recomend them both during training sessions and competitions, also for short middle and long distance.
Good value for money besides being durable and a nice appearace.
