Pros: Adjustable, Attractive, Comfortable, Good Fit, High Quality, Rugged
Cons: Expensive
"purchased these for the front and rear of my yeti 575.
as soon as you open the box these just slap you in the face, awesome looks and finish is top class.
everything went togther as it should, but i needed to shorten my front braided hose wich is not a problem if you have worked with braided lines before but its a diffrent procedure to the hope site's vid as you can not fit an olive onto a clean cut bare braided line easyly.
once all fitted, bled and and pistons equalised, bed in took just a few minutes of heavy braking.
modulation is awsome and so is stopping power, on tarmac with a tacky front tyre these make you go dizzy they pull up that fierce.
floating rotors are superb as you dont get that anoying rubing and catching like on my old hayes and avid 203mm discs.
the new tech leavers are in another league to anything ive used before, you have full reach and bite control and everything feels very direct and solid.
i hear there are some minor probs with fitting them with some shifter combos but fit perfect with my xt shifters but i do have the indicator windows removed.
only downside is there not cheap, but once you see them in the flesh you can see how much work has gone into making them,"

Best brakes I've ever had!!!
Pros: Durable, Attractive, Comfortable, High Quality, Rugged, Adjustable, Lightweight, Versatile, Good Fit
Cons: Expensive
"These brakes are the best of their kind that I have ever used!!
Super responsive and very adjustable, simple to set for that ultra stopping power you'd expect for its price tag.
I have yet to experience any brake fade with these, even after some pretty intense downhill sections."

Great brake
Pros: Attractive, Comfortable, Rugged, High Quality, Adjustable, Versatile, Good Fit
Cons: Bulky
"I bought this with the 203mm floating rotor and I'm really pleased with it, it's a massive step up from my old mono mini. The lever offers plenty of adjustment and the shape is just right, though you do have to be careful about which shifters you use as the flip-able master cylinder is bulky - I'm using XTR so no problems, but if your shifters have indicator windows you may have issues.
Hopes website also has some really helpful setup video's - great if you're a bit of a mechanical numpty like me! The guide to centreing the pistons is particularly useful and makes a real difference to the feel of the brake.
The whole setup looks and feels great quality, but it's performance that's most important and I'm delighted with the power and progression. It's taken a bit of learning on my part as there's so much more power than my old brake, at first I was using two fingers and kept locking the front or popping the rear wheel skyward. I've since repositioned it for use as a one finger brake, and it's still awesome.
Overall I'm really happy with my purchase, it's a fair chunk of money to spend but well worth it!"

Brilliant
Pros: Durable, Attractive, Rugged, High Quality, Adjustable, Good Fit
"These brakes do exactly what it says on the tin. Easy to fit and the stopping power is immense giving oodles of confidence to tackle those fast downhill sections. They are simply the best brakes I've ever had. Inferior brakes slow you down. These brakes if pulled on hard lock the wheel up no matter how fast your going......Wow! Only downside is the cost but I suppose you have to pay for the best and when your on the slopes the price is well forgotten."

Awesome stopping power
Pros: Durable, Great Value, High Quality, Rugged, Adjustable, Lightweight, Versatile
"These brakes are great. I traded up from Shimano XT with 160mm rotors to a 160mm rear and 183mm Front. What a difference, amazing!
The levers are super adjustable for reach and bite and the brakes are modulated well, Without any settling in period they perform perfectly.
Highly recommended.

"I use Hope M4 brakes on all three of my mountain bikes. They give me fantastic stopping power on the steepest of descents and are so responsive enabling late braking. Also look great and easy to look after and change the pads and best of all made in Britain !"

Hope Tech M4
Pros: Durable, Rugged, High Quality, Adjustable, bling
Cons: chris king/fox problem
"Best built bicycle brake system ever... They are a work of art. Thank you Hope... Yeah, they are heavier than the rest, but sometimes stopping is more important than a couple of ounces. These are my second set of Hope's, and the new Tech Levers are amazing. 30mph to a dead stop in two car lengths on pavement. Wow.
Only issues I had was with the installation. Hoses were too long, but not too tough to shorten. Front adapter for IS 203mm did not have enough clearance for the floating rotors on a FOX fork with Chris King Hubs. I had to mill the adapter down to make it work. Even with the extra effort I would recommend these brakes to anyone.
Hope brakes are the best ever, bar none."

anchors for brakes
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Attractive, Comfortable, High Quality, Rugged, Adjustable, Lightweight, Versatile, Good Fit, british quality, spares available
"simply put these are the best brakes on the market .
quality & finish second to none with adjustable "feel"on the fly.
easy to set-up(unlike others on the market)
impressive stopping power wet or dry, in fact only thing i find "missing" is
wondering why these are not fitted to more mtb bikes as an industry standard.
quality and performance come at a slightly higher price than other "inferior"available brake sets but the old adage "you cant make a silk purse from a sows ear" was never so true .
british made i cannot reccomend them any more highly .
forget buying expensive ad-ons & invest in some brakes after all no good going faster if you still cant stop !

Flippin Awesome
Pros: Adjustable, Attractive, Comfortable, High Quality
"Bought these recently in a 203mm F&R set up and even in not fully bedded in format they have some serious stopping power. My 2006 Juicy 7's which I thought were good don't even compare. The manufacturing and quality of the product is second to none and I would recommend them. This is my first impression and we will see how they bed in but I can't wait to ride more. Only thing of note is that the reservoir or brake body is quite large and this can affect the shifter position but I have not found this to be a problem with either an X9 or XT setup."
