"This top is all I could have wanted! Worn over a base layer it provides protection from the wind in all situations. The pocket in the front at the chest is ideal for your mobile, the small pocket at the back perfect for small tools.
The arms come off to make a great gillet too which is another great aspect of this great value DHB jersey. If you were to take issue with anything it would be the fact it doesn't have the usual 3 pockets at the back for pump etc. This can be worked around though with s/sleeve jersy underneath.
All in all a great item I would buy again & again."

"I bought ths after reading the independant reviews as I had been looking for a windproof jacket that did not cost too much and most of them are too much! This Runcton jacket was on offer when I bought it which made it even better value.
I have been wearing it during the recent very cold weather and have been very, very pleased at thge way it has performed. I have ridden most of the time with only a base layer and this Runcton jacket during the minus 5 temperatures and have been plenty warm enough with less sweat problems than a remember having before - so it must be doing its job.
Its not the most sexy jacket going, I wouold call it functional, but i am a functional sort of person, so I am very happy and would recommend this jacket as a great Mountain bike jacket - the same must be true for use on the road also : - )"

"Been using this for a week commuting in sub-zero temperatures. Worn with just a base layer, initially runs a little cold but perfect once doing some work. Used in one blizzard where melting snow formed droplets that shook off, so guessing will be fine in not too heavy rain. Size wise, I'm 6' and generally described as lanky, found the medium short in the arm and tight on the shoulders. Large sorted that, but is a bit baggy on the torso, but I'm happy with that. Looks wise, it's fantastic, square shoulders and piping make it quite dashing. Bottom line is, all DHB stuff I've had to date has performed flawlessly, so far this seems the same. Last weekend I found a Gore windstopper soft shell in a sale for £105. For the price, I'm thinking of getting another of these and putting it away."

One of my favourite bits of winter kit - ever

"I like it so much I've just ordered a second one in case they stop making them or they realise the price is so wrong!
It keeps me toasty in all but the severest of conditions and when I do warm up its easy to convert it to a gilet and undo the front zip a bit to cool down. The only downside I have is that reattaching the sleeves is a bit of a faff and they're larger than expected when stuffed in my bag. Its also pretty shower proof and when it does get wet through it still stays warm enough for me. I've done 2 hour rides in moderate rain at 5 degress and still came home happy.
There are no strange washing instructions and it dries pretty quickly.
One minor niggle - the material of the rear pocket zip puller is kind of like velcro hoops and it catches on things like shorts in the washing machine.
Normally Im not overly worried about how stuff looks but this is actually a pretty smart looking and I'm not too worried about a post ride beer in it (depending on the mud of course).
As others have mentioned - the rear pocket could be bigger, but the ipod port is a nice touch."

Can I wear it to a dinner dance?

"This is a superb comfortable windproof jersey. Worn with a base layer it keeps me comfortable without overheating on 20mile trips on my recumbent trike. The fit is good, not too loose and it looks good. It doubles up as a dog walking jersey on dark nights because of its good reflective properties. Love the provision for my iPhone. SWMBO asked if I was ever going to take it off OR WAS I GOING TO WEAR IT TO THE DINNER DANCE!!!! Well it looks and fitts better than my DJ.

The material is tightly woven and very high quality. the zippers are generous and lock well. l The overall fit was excellent and it did fit snuggly but not tight, it has no rear pocket which was a cange for me but it does have a cell phone key pocket on the breast and one on the side with good locking zippers. the size is true and it does really hold the heat in.

"I'm 1,84 and bought a large and although length is fine, the sleeves could be a tad longer. Other than that, very good piece of clothing for riding from 0 to 12 degrees with just a base layer as it really blocks wind.

"I have worn this jacket a few times on my 10 mile commute to work and have found it comfortbale to wear and fully windproof. The ability to remove the sleeves and wear it as a windproof gillet is an added bonus given the recent warmer temperatures. I usually buy M and found this to fit perfectly. I would like to see more colour choices but other than that fully recommend this product."

"Bought this mainly to use sleeveless. The fit is pretty good, not too baggy but it can feel a little tight under the arms if you have a broad back. Handy chest pocket and small cash pocket to the right hand side is good for easy reach items (wallet, phone, cake money). The sleeves are easily removed in seconds and the windproof material is ideal for riding in some quite chilly conditions. The rear is of a thinner material which is good for me as I always carry a pack when riding. The material does bobble up fairly quickly where the pack rubs, but I defy many products not to do this. The overall durability is pretty good. I had a major off wearing this where my shoulder took most of the brunt. The material showed no signs of this when washed though, I expected some scuff marks at least but nothing. For the cash, this should be high on your list."

"Nice jersey, but like most other reviews it is a bit small. dhb seem to make things small for the size, and like other reviews I find this short in the sleeve and body but have no problems with under arm fit. I find the jersey not as warm as it could be (I have others that are better, but over twice the price) and also could have some pockets at the rear like most other jerseys instead of the useless small one. I like the idea of removable sleeves to make a gilet though, and it looks nice in appearance. Buy one, but get a size up if you can as cant go wrong for the price really."

"Fantastic value jacket...this has got me through the last two months of near freezing weather without any problems. When worn with a very light long sleeve base layer I've been plenty warm right down to zero degrees...in fact above 5degrees it starts getting a bit warm! Looking forward to seeing the temperature rise so I can try it with the sleeves off....

"Once again an excellent piece of kit from Wiggle's own DHB range. The removable arms make this a flexible piece of clothing and my only gripe is that the collar could be closer fitting...especially for the cold winter winds that have been hitting us lately.
Arms are long enough to protect the wrists and the draw cord at the bottom of the body means you can keep the drafts out if you need to."
