A great Guide DVD not just for Etape day

Pros: High Quality, informative, inspiring

"I bought this DVD in the winter to keep me motivated on the turbo trainer as well as prepare me for the 2009 Etape du Tour. I was expecting a lot of static POV shots like you get from a lot of cycling training DVDs, but not with this one. The Cyclefilm producers seem to work hard on making this as much an entertainment DVD as a guide and ride DVD. For that reason, you can just as well watch the film off the bike in your living room with your friends and family. Although the Etape has come and gone, this film is still relevant to anyone looking to ride in the Mt.Ventoux region throughout the year. You get a real sense of the cycling routes available in the Provence, the hills and the beautiful landscape. Let's not forget, it makes for great indoor training viewing on those dull and cold winter days. I've got this DVD line-up already for the coming winter. 5-stars!"

Brilliant help for completing the Etape

"Having only got into cycling the year before by taking up triathlon, myself and a friend manage to get a place on the 09 Etape. We both bought and studied the DVD, the route, the tips and set about training from the New Year.

The day of the Etape was very hot, the route very hard, but the DVD paid off with little reminders of when to go steady, when to stay 'outside the red zone' and when to enjoy the views, and when to dig deep.

I've also got this years DVD for Tourmalet and these guys do produce very high quality DVDs on some of Europe's best rides and sportives.

Oh and yes I did complete the Etape - but only just ;-)"

Mt Ventoux here we come.

"Barry and I are planning a trip to the south of France in 2011 and that includes riding up Mt Ventoux. This DVD produced by Cyclefilm is great - giving us a good idea of what to expect on the climb and how we need to prepare. Even if you're not planning to ride Mt Ventoux - give this DVD a go as it's great entertainment from the comfort of your couch."

Excellent Insight
