Pros: Attractive, Comfortable, Great Value, High Quality, Rugged
"this is a great bike to start XC racing on. It rides over the bumps really well and has good handling and stability even at high speeds. All the components are good enough to race on. The only downsides i found with this bike are that the handlebars cannot be put low enough for racing, even with all the spacers taken out, and the seat is quite far forward over the bottom bracket."

Excellent value for money
Pros: Attractive, Good Fit, Great Value, Versatile
"After breaking my leg and selling everything to do with bikes but then missing the sport and wanting to make a return this was the bike a choose.
I wasn't sure how deep into the sport i was going this time around so i wanted something good spec, reliable, good value and upgradable.
I always recommend giant to people spending £400-£600 as i don't think they can be beaten (only focus comes close)
This bike at the discounted price of £420 was a total bargin.
The only thing i'm not keen on is the fork as it's heavy and i can only get 5cm of travel out of it from my 11 stones. However, you only get a good RS recon fork when you start spending £700 so can't really complain.

gone to the dark side
Pros: Attractive, Comfortable, Durable, Good Fit, Great Value, High Quality, Rugged, Versatile
"I mostly ride road bikes and just had a halfords special mtn bike for trips with the family. I got this Giant as they're reducing them to clear - most likely to make way for next years models. It means you get alot of bike for your money - nice quality frame, hydraulic brakes, decent enough groupset, rock shox forks and all about £100+ cheaper than you'd normally have to pay.
It's great fun to ride, the brakes are amazing. I can't really comment on how it copes with technical trails as I've not much experience, but it's great fun in the woods.
I would highly recommend based on value compared to other similarly spec'd bikes."

You can’t buy a bike on the internet!
Pros: Great Value, High Quality, Lightweight, just great
"Yes you can, and you can also save money :-)
I was a little nervous to buy a bike on the internet when I had not seen it physically, but fortunately the bike answered to my expectations."

Best bike buy
Pros: Adjustable, Attractive, Comfortable, Durable, Good Fit, Great Value, High Quality, Lightweight, Rugged, Versatile
"After a lot of research on the net I discovered "Wiggle" and was very impressed with this bike.
I was looking at buying the 'new' GIANT Talon 3 but soon realised that the XTC 4 has exactly the same specs (frame, gear set, suspension, brakes etc) but it is £200 cheaper. So if your not a "Trend Setter" who needs the latest paint job then this is the bike for you at an awsome price.

"Bought 2 of these bikes and the quality is better than average. A good bike at a low cost. Can only recommend it, both for beginners and experienced riders."

Nice entry level bike
Pros: Attractive, Great Value, Rugged
"I bought this as an entry level bike into the world of trial and a bit of cross country biking. It's not fitted with the best equipment out there. But for the price, it seems very good. The bike was pretty easy to assemble, but I had to adjust the front deraillure myself, as it wasn't shifting correctly.
The bike was fitted with the RockShox Dart 3 and not Dart 2 fork as the descriptions says."

A Great Choice

Pros: Adjustable, Attractive, Comfortable, Great Value, High Quality, Lightweight, Versatile
"I chose the XTC4 because my previous Giant Escaper had given me 10yrs good service and the quality had been good.
Whilst my choice of bike was guided by budget, this bike delivers good value for money with quality gearing and brakes.
I've just got back from a ride on the South Downs Way and I am delighted with the performance it gave hauling my considerable frame up the steepest hills and giving assured downhill drive over flinty chalk tracks.
When I can afford it I will probably change the knobblys for a compromise tyre that will give less resistance on the roads.
An all round good performer for the many of us who are leisure cyclists who ride on varied terrains.

Ordered on Tuesday recd the bike Thursday. Thursday night Great ride on a great bike with a great price."

"This is a fantasic bike! It looks like it is in the £1000+ catagory of bikes, owning this is like owning a quality German car, No rattles, well built and looks so expensive. I love it. This bike is nice and light, so easy to pick up and put on to the car roof. I would buy this brand again and again."

A proper Bike
Pros: Attractive, Comfortable, Durable, Great Value, High Quality, Lightweight, Rugged, Versatile
"This was my first 'proper' bike. Relative to my prevoius budget superstore bikes, this was a step up into high quality frame and machined components territory. Tangible benefits included a lightweight, strong, durable and functional rig with dual piston hydraulic disc brakes, a comfortable tight handling chassis, and respectable strong Alex rims and dual compound tyres. This hardtail is in a different league from anything that I had owned before, and it looked and felt like it. Eventually, I graduated to a Giant full suss bike, but I sold my XTC for a great price. The Giant brand commands a high resale price due to high demand to own one."

Great Bike
Pros: Attractive, Great Value, High Quality, Lightweight, Rugged
"I spent a long time looking for my first mountain bike as I wanted something that was good quality in terms of build and components but didn't cost the earth. The XTC 4 does all of this and the bike has come down another £50 since I brought it so I believe is a real bargain.
One thing to watch for, which is a more general comment, watch for the frame sizes. I am 5'11" with a 31" inside leg and looking at the frame sizes I should have ordered a large frame but could get away with a medium. I ordered the medium and feel that it is perfect and feel that if I had ordered the large it would have been too big.
Final comment, this was the first time I had ordered a bike by post and was a little concerned. Wiggle do exactly what they say. I ordered on Saturday and the bike arrived on Tuesday. All I had to do was add the pedals and handlebars and everything else was done for me and I could ride straight away. Excellent service no need for concern."
