Upgrading Wheels for 7 Speed
Pros: Great Value, Adjustable, Lightweight, Good Fit
"This simple cheap spacer allowed me to put existing 7 speed cassette onto new 8/9/10 hub accompanied by a bit of adjustment to derailleur setings.
Why? I've a 19 year old Touring Bike that needed new rear wheel.
I treated said bike to new lighter weight modern 700c wheels and this spacer allows existing drive train to continue to do the business. Sorted!"

A fabulous tiny piece of metal

"So, you think it's just a spacer, eh?
This little marvel enables bikes based on older 7 speed freewheels to be upgraded to 7 speed cassettes using modern 8/9 speed freehub wheels.
My upgrade of the winter / commuter wouldn't have been possible without it, and I didn't even need to adjust the derailleur. Simply slip onto the freehub before putting on the 7 speed cassette, and Bob's yer uncle!

"With it's three cut-outs that are milled out to clear the protruding Tie Bolts at the back of the Cassette this is the best you can buy. A plain spacer in that instance will just deform against the Tie Bolts when the Cassette is mounted on the hub and look a bit naff!"
