Pros: Durable, Great Value, High Quality, Lightweight
"I bought a pair of these tyres to replace the stock slick tyres that were fitted to my bike when I bought it, and have found them to be an excellent choice. These great value road tyres were easy to fit thanks to the slightly softer than usual bead around them, and the colour is good. The treat is relatively low, and I wasn't 100% confident when cornering at speed in wetter weather, but once I found the bite point, they became much more enjoyable to ride. Considering the price, the tyres are an excellent choice, they are light weight, and feature a puncture protection strip - not sure how effective this is yet, as I've not ridden over any glass. I'd be more than happy to recommend these tyres ahead of some of the other more expensive options."

Superb Value
Pros: Attractive, Durable, Great Value, High Quality, Rugged, Versatile
"I swapped my continental sports for these as I kept on getting punctures, since putting these on I have covered several hundred miles, in all weathers, on all types of terrain. I have had one puncture due to glass on the road which would have punctured any tyre. Great value, great look, great wear, once they have worn out I will have no hesitation in buying another set. The guys I cycle with all loved the look, one of them ordered a set of Red straight away. Brilliant!"

Puncture prone
Pros: Attractive
Cons: Wears Out Easily
"I bought these to provide me with a set of reasonably grippy tyres for winter commuting.
Unfortunately I've found that they are overly prone to punctures with my commute to work regularly disrupted by yet another stop to fix a flat. Now admittedly this may have something to do with the fact that the roads in north London resemble a poorly maintained farm track, but since switching back to my spring/summer tyres (Continental Ultra Sports) the problem has gone away."
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Attractive, High Quality
"I've been using these for commuting and training for over 300 miles and not had a puncture yet, Inflated to 110psi. It is now hard for me to spend more than £10 on a race tyre as these are so good and durable"

Schwalbe Lugano Road Tyre
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Attractive, High Quality, Rugged, Lightweight
"As a cyclist in London, I needed some resilient road tyres that will be able to withstand the abuse of the London roads. These tyres were fantastic value, easy to fit and so far seem to be performing very well. Would recommend to anyone who wants road tyres that are slightly more hardy."

"Put these on my Scott road bike about 5 months ago, probably covered about 3000km since then and until last week hadn't had a single puncture.
Last week I rode over tiny fragments of sharp yellow glass (not intentionally!) and got several bits lodged in the tires and eventually they got to the inner tube and punctured.
However, that said - these tires are brilliant value for money, have lasted really well, look great (I get loads of comments!) and I am about to order my second pair.
If you want a great-looking, long lasting, all-weather, all-terrain, tough road tyre then buy these bad boys!"

Very trendy
Pros: Great Value, Attractive, Good Fit
"The wheels look great on my black and white bike.
I live in a student area with lots of broken glass and was getting loads of punctures but for over two months now, not a single one!!
The only thing I'm not happy with is when I brake hard the back tyre easily locks up and screeches."

So much better
Pros: Durable, Attractive, Rugged, Good Fit
"I upgraded to these tyres when the stock tyres that came with my specialized allez wore out.
Before I was getting punctures all the time during both city commuting and country rides, since I fitted these i've covered nearly 1000 miles and no punctures (touch wood!)
Will definitely buy again."

Decent commuter - Beware on corners!
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Comfortable, Good Fit
"Not a bad tyre. Use it on my bike for commuting daily and three weeks in - all is well. Ride feels ok and no issues fitting them. I did come a cropper cornering down Saltburn Bank when they were first on. Thankfully only my pride hurt but it hasn't inspired confidence in their handling. For going in a straight line on a budget though I would buy them again anytime. Happy riding!"

Sorry but cannot recommend.
Pros: Attractive, Comfortable
Cons: Low Quality, Wears Out Easily
"I bought a pair of the beige tyres for my steel bike as I thought they had a 'retro' look which reminded me of the tubulars of past days. I must say I regret my decision as starting a ride the other day the tyre on the front wheel ruptured on the side wall and I couldn't ride home, luckily this happened near where I live. I was warned by a friend that he has had bad experiences with Schwalbe tyres so I wished I had listened to his advice. The first few hundred miles on them were OK with only one puncture so I can't really complain there and also they did look very nice and were a comfortable ride. I have now gone back to Continental Gator Skins which aren't so nice to look at and give a firmer ride but from past experience they are much tougher."
"Had this tyre fitted for a while now and it's lasted the course without a single puncture. A value for money tyre from Schwalbe."

Terrific tyres!
Pros: Great Value, Attractive, Lightweight
"Oh boy, am I glad I bought these!
I fitted them to a set of Mavic Open Pro rims, to replace the Vittoria Zaffiros that came with my Fuji Roubaix 1.0's original wheels, and immediately felt the difference. Light and smooth-rolling, they've made riding a joy.
I was a bit worried about choosing the white/black version but, hey, they're a stylish match for the Fuji's paint job, especially now they're a bit grubby!
What's more, I haven't had a puncture .... yet."

You get what you pay for
Pros: Great Value
Cons: Low Quality
"Although they looked ok, I purchased them in white to match my frame, I had several punctures and gave up on them after about 300 miles. I have now traded up to the Schwalbe Durano plus and so far so good. My advice spend a little more and get quality tires."
"Bought this from Wiggle 18months or so ago. Have done 2.5K miles and still going strong though have noticing it is beginning to thread on the rear wheel.
Since I fitted these I have not had one puncture which i find amazing.
Great value tyre that is perfect for commuting and training (or have a go racers).
Well worth a go..."

Road Tyres
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Good Fit
"Schwalbe Lugano Tyres have been fitted to my bike for 2 months, doing over 1000 miles on wet, dry and icey roads, they have provided great grip in all conditions and have remained free from punctures, and are still rolling well"

Keeps me going
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Rugged
"Done about 300 miles since they were fitted and they keep the pressure and they have not punctured yet. The hedge cutters have been out in the area where I ride. This used to be a nightmare because as soon as I saw the bits o. The road I knew I would be fixing punctures. Four on one ride not so long ago! So far the Luganos have not let me down. (Unintentional pun)."

Not great
Pros: Great Value, Attractive, Good Fit
Cons: Low Quality
"Got a puncture after just 1 week of use!
To be fair I have had 6 punctures in the same number of weeks so it could be my route to work (cycle path alongside the A3 - no obvious problems??) but was hoping that as my old tyres were almost worn completely through then getting a new set would solve the problem.
On the plus side easy to fit and were cheap enough that I thought they would be worth a go. Nothing lost."

Update - 5 punctures for approx 4 weeks use!
Posted February 20, 2012
Just thought I should update my review as I have now had 5 punctures in probably < 200 miles! Definitely ditching these tyres and splashing out on something decent - any recommendations?
I bought these on the strength of so many good reviews but these guys just aren't made for the mean ol' streets of London.

Value for money tyre
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Attractive, Good Fit
"I bought these tyres to replace a more expensive and worn out pair. They are easy to fit on Shimano rims unlike others i've used. They grip well in the wet and have so far been puncture resistant on the 300+ miles covered on atrocious winter roads. They offer low rolling resistance. If you are need of good winter training tyres without blowing a hole in your budget then these are for you."
