Happy camper
"Generally happy with this product - it provides the adverstised features I was interested in (Intervals, Average HR, Max HR, computer upload) and looks good in orange.
On the downside:
The associated software is a bit flaky and the support forum suggests some of the bugs are longstanding.
The display contrast is marginal in some lights
The paper manual is dire, the online version is better but not that logical (luckily the watch interface is intuitive)"

Good watch
Pros: Durable, Attractive, Comfortable, High Quality
Cons: Expensive, limited connectivity
"I bought this to keep track of my training. This one has the advantage of a 16-long exercise tracker. There's also a built in VO2 max estimator, which is good. I have had one problem so far in the gym where a friend's (polar) HR monitor was interfering with it, stopping it registering my HR.
Polar are still recognised as the best HRM's, but they are slightly disappointing in terms of keeping up with the times, and I think if I was to look again, I'd probably buy a Garmin HRM, which has much better connectivity, although obviously better known for GPS than HRM.
All in all, not a bad buy, but possibly not the best..."

Good for non-Geeks
Pros: Durable, Comfortable, High Quality, Lightweight
Cons: none
"Let's face it, most of us are unlikely to win events, but enjoy striving to be as good as we can be. To do that, a good HRM is very helpful, veering towards the almost essential. This model has lots of good features, without complicating it with those which which you would rarely need to use.
Price is a little on the steep side, but it has proven itself to be 100% reliable, easy to use and does exactly what you want, without paying over the odds for stuff you don't use."

excellent
Pros: Attractive, Comfortable, High Quality, Adjustable, Lightweight
"The watch is excellent,..it gives all the advantages I was hoping for. I still dont have the podometer, or the gps extra accesories, I will write another review when i buy them.
Until now the only disadvantage I can write, is that you have to turn it off after every time you use it, otherwise it run out of battery."

Another quality Polar product
Pros: High Quality
"This HRM was so good, I sold it! Let me explain; I’d previously owned a Polar HRM and found it to be invaluable when I first started training using the heart rate method. The heart rate monitor that I had at the time was fairly limited and I soon realised I need to up-date. I did my homework and eventually went for the RS300X. It appeared on face value to offer me everything I needed.
In particular I liked the VO2 Max test and the OwnZone feature along with everything else it offered it seemed like good value for money. At the time I was just using the watch for running, leaving my Garmin Edge 705 for bike only work. After each workout I was then downloading the information to the Polar website via the FlowLink device. All seemed well in the world until Garmin released the 310XT and my love affair with the RS300X ended. It dawned on me that I linked the Garmin GUI more then the Polar GUI and the FlowLink to Polar website and it’s limited use was becoming a little bit of a chore.
Once I purchased the 310XT the Polar was put back in its box and never used again. In the coming months I decided I would sell it on and stick with the two Garmin’s I own using them for bike work and multi-sport respectively.
I realise that the RS300X is not the same tool at the 310XT and it was never designed to pitted against it. They are two completely different tools, offering two very different experiences. I like Polar HRM’s, but I like Garmin’s more, but that’s my opinion.
I doubt that I would buy another Polar device again, not unless they radically change the GUI. The products themselves are all very well made and Polar offers some stunning customer service if so required. Please do read this review in a negative light, it was never meant to be negative. The RS300X is a fine tool and offers some excellent plus points, and at its new low price must be considered seriously. Please bear in mind though you will need a FlowLink to get the best out of the HRM."

Good HRM
"Its sad, there is no ideal HRM out there, but this one will be a good aid for your training.
This model is good against RSX100 model for having interval training mode. GPS and step monitors are pretty useless, if you have or plan to have several regular rotes.

Great for all excercise
"This polar is great for all types of training. Monitors heart rate signal really well (I've had HRM that lose my heart beat signal at times), it has many measures for your training and you can adjust the display to show what you're interrested in. Also sets personal zones and has different excercise modes, like interval training.
For it to measure time and distance you do need to buy the foot pod though."

Works well but small display digits
Pros: Durable, Attractive, Comfortable, High Quality, Rugged, Lightweight, Good Fit
Cons: Expensive, Not Enough Features, Limited Color Choices
"Does all the features specified well and for normal signted is a good product. Hoever there is no display mode that just displays one item e.g heart rate or speed so as at least two are displayed at once if you need reading glasses you will not be able to see the data, better of with the cheaper basic models."
