Ashima V-Brake 70mm One Piece Brake Shoe
Pros: Adjustable, Durable, Good Fit, Great Value, High Quality, Lightweight, Rugged
"Having taken up cycling after a twenty-four year layoff I did a lot of shopping around to find the best purchases. I have now been riding for the last fourteen years. Wiggle has always been reliable and provides a very professional service and Ashima V-Brake 70mm One Piece Brake Shoes are the best all round break shoe I have used. I only ride off road and need a brake shoe that will work in any conditions. How many times have you been cycling in the rain only to find when you need to brake quickly the bike carries on for a foot and the tree branch you were trying to avoid was only six inches away? The Ashima V-Brake 70mm One Piece Brake Shoe won’t let you down."

Cheap basic shoes. Should last about 1000 miles.
Pros: Great Value
"Not much to say other than that these do the job, aren't too squeaky and are the right price."

Seems to stop you
Pros: Great Value, Good Fit
"Hard to give these a detailed review yet - they have not been used too much - but were easy to fit and seem to work and significantly cheaper than the competition."

STOP WHEELS GOING ROUND SATISFACTORALY
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Attractive, Comfortable, Rugged, High Quality, Adjustable, Lightweight, Versatile, Good Fit
"These brake blocks, or brake shoes as we must now call them, work very well. Once they were installed on the metally, sort of thing by each circular thingy, with the stick things coming from the lumpy bit in the middle, the round thing with the black rubbery thing on the outside edge of it, that by the way you have to now and again put extra air into, from the front bar thing that you must hold onto when moving the things on either side are squeezed and they make the brake shoe rub onto the flat bit of the metally round circular thing and then you stop turning the things at the end of your feet and the next thing that happens is you stop moving. Also do this sometimes when going too fast down hill and on sharp corners."

Great value for a very important part of my bike
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Comfortable, Good Fit
"Hi Wiggle I have just fitted my road bike with Ashima V-Brake one piece brake shoes and they are excellent, some of the bike paths around Melbourne have very steep descents so top brakes are important I have found these brake shoes to be excellent they are gentle on the rims not harsh with good control at the levers, I found them good value and have bought several pairs to replace on two other bikes regards Keith Australia"

Massive - for mountain, not road
Pros: Great Value, Rugged
Cons: Unattractive, Bulky
"These pads are enormous! I believe they're actually for mountain bikes. That said, I did managed to squeeze them onto my road bike and they're working well."

Good value for money
Pros: Great Value, Adjustable
"I needed some pads for my MTB and these were good price. I only rated them 3 stars because they are standard pads so nothing about them is really great or really bad.
I would recommend them if you need something for casual use."

Highly recommended
Pros: Great Value, High Quality, Adjustable, Good Fit
"I replaced shop provided pads on my Trek 7.6 ahead of an adventure event. While the number of spacers was a bit confusing and not the same as the ones I replaced, the improvement in performance and confidence was significant.
Very happy with cost and quality. I would buy these again."

"Good value stuff. Feels a bit heavy though. Compareable with shimano, wears out the same speed, have to change every 1000 km."

Good replacement brake
Pros: Great Value
"Replaced worn out stock shoes on a Trek Hybrid, and these seem to be better. Strong progressive action in the dry. From limited wet weather use they seem to be a good value all-rounder."

new shoes
Pros: Durable, Great Value
"This is the 1st time I've changed brake shoes since I was a teenager. Once I had worked out how to fit them. Could do with fitting instructions. Sounds silly I know but not as straight forward as you would think. Good shoes though work well, good price."

"These pads work absolutely fine in both wet and dry conditions and I've used them in all weathers on a daily (hilly) commute as well as on some XC rides round the local hills. They also seem to last.
Great value for money."

Does the job well
Pros: Great Value, High Quality, Rugged, Lightweight
"These replaced the worn out standard items on a specialized MTB, they are an excellent price and far exceeded the stopping power of the originals, so this is win/win!"
