Good all rounder...
Pros: Attractive, Comfortable, Good Fit, High Quality, Rugged, Versatile
Cons: Bulky, Expensive
"I've had several pairs of normal asics running shoes. They've always performed well with good fit, however running offroad especially in waterlogged conditions doesn't seem to do them much good. These cross country shoes give good grip, keep dry and seem 'firmer' over uneven ground - while maintaning the cusioning you would expect from a running shoe. I think they look pretty good too, black doesn't look nearly so dirty after muddy runs.
In all seem to me to be a good all round shoe that works well on all surfaces, maybe a bit bigger and heavier than a road shoe, but perfect for the mixed conditions in which I run."

Good tough trail shoe
Pros: Durable, Comfortable, High Quality, Rugged, Good Fit
"Great comfortable tough trail shoe - I use for mountain/hilly trails with much loose ground. Great grip and just the right amount of cushioning. Gortex uppers great for those wet days. These will last!"

asics trail shoes as good as ever
Pros: Durable, Attractive, Comfortable, High Quality, Rugged, Versatile
"after 10 years of asics i am nearly always happy with the new model asics release. these are no exception good shoe for trails or even fell type running also will happily do a few miles on the road although i would not plan to go much further than that on the road ..as they are lightly heavier than i thought .. and the gtx or gortex is slightly better on the water proof side but still lets water in fairly easily... on the whole very happy..."

Beware the fit!
Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Value, High Quality, Versatile
Cons: Poor Fit
"These shoes are excellent except for one thing, sizing is a bit small. The length is fine but I find the width very tight and I have a narrow foot. I have owned countless Asics right across the range and the sizing has always been the same, therefore I would recommend going up half a size on your usual purchase. I wish I did."
