First serious road bike
Pros: Attractive, Comfortable, High Quality, Lightweight
"Having largely worn out my initial cheap commuter bike bought 2 years ago to cover about 40-60km per day, I wanted to upgrade from aluminium to carbon frame without spending a fortune. After settling on a price bracket of about £1000-£1300, it appeared that a basic carbon fibre frame and lower-middle order groupset was achievable. Wiggle reviews and other reports pointed to the Rhigos very favourably and knowing that I was more in the market for a GT-style bike rather than stripped down racer, it seemed the logical choice.
Shipping was painless and on receipt the bike went to my LBS for assembly and set-up. The French owner who, at 70, has been into road racing for over 50 years, knows his stuff and is highly critical of the rubbish out there was all over the Rhigos complimenting the rigidity of the frame, it's build quality and the groupset. An encouraging first response from the local expert. I have been riding into work now for a few weeks and it is a total pleasure. I shaved 10 mins off what would be an hour's plod (30km) on the old bike without stress and in unfavourable conditions. It responds very quickly and feels agile despite the size. It has great presence and the SRAM gear change is sure and swift. I can't honestly fault it. Riding over tarmac ripples and rail lines used to be a jarring experience, but the Rhigos soaks up uneven surfaces very nicely. Working up to longer rides in the spring, and I have every confidence that the comfort I enjoy thus far will continue."

A huge improvement on my old bike
Pros: Attractive, Comfortable, Lightweight, Good Fit
"I wouldn't say i was a dedicated cyclist, but one who likes to get out on the open road when i can. My last road bike was a road bike with straight bars which was ok but found i felt every bump on the country roads near where i live. With this new bike i'm enjoying cycling much more. I sem to eat up the miles with ease and the bike seems to absorb the bumps a lot better. Its a comfortable riding position and i don't get the mechanical strain i used to get. On a 20 mile ride i'm probably doing it at least 10 if not 15 mins quicker and feel a lot fresher afterwards. All in all at this budget a very good bike."

Accurate reviews
Pros: Great Value, Attractive, Comfortable, Lightweight
"I looked long and hard before purchasing. I wanted a bike that wanted to be ridden hard and would reward me for working. At the same time I am no spring chicken so I was looking for comfort too! It doesn't disappoint.
I'm not a rider who gets out of the saddle much, but for some reason it invites me to. I want to accelerate in it, I want to attack the hill and I have noticed a big difference to my audax bike. Power transmission is great and hills (always an issue for me) are not quite so bad now. As for the downhill, as a heavier rider I have always enjoyed fast descents and with the Rhigos there is an assurity that makes me really point and go. The front wheel seems to stick to the road.
I was disappointed that one of my bar ends popped off without me seeing it on the first ride and I am fighting a losing battle to keep the Verenti logo on the front stem. This is a shame as it is finished very nicely in all other areas. The wheels perform well and all the other kit is working well. I suspect I will upgrade the saddle at some point.
I tried it out on the Verenti Magnificat recently and achieved a Gold standard, the first time I have ever managed that. Thanks Verenti."

loves the Rhigos
Pros: Attractive, Comfortable, High Quality, Adjustable, Lightweight, Good Fit
"I was waiting to ride the Dragon before writing the review, but having zipped up the Rhigos over the weekend I feel I know the .03 well enough to give it an endorsement - I've never ridden a 'race' bike, my previous bike was a Boardman hybrid comp (straight bars) which I owned for 10 months - very good bike, no complaints - the one before that was my BMX 20 years ago! So, the frame feels like a 'racer' to me and the height is good for my back -
I find it picks up speed fast, up or down hill, and is comfortable over long distances - it also looks great
thoroughly recommended. it's a joy to ride."

Fantastic bike
Pros: Adjustable, Attractive, Comfortable, Durable, Good Fit, Great Value, High Quality, Lightweight
Cons: graphics are a bit muted
"This bike is really great. The designer really got the geometry spot on for fast comfortable riding. The frame quality and overall build is very good with some nicely branded finishing equipment. The frame graphics are a bit understated which is a shame but this doesn't detract from a bike that rides really well."

Fantastic Value For Money
Pros: Attractive, Comfortable, Great Value, High Quality, Lightweight
"a great bike for the money.
I really like the design of the slight curve in the downtube. When looking at the downtube, on the underside, I noticed a very nice embossed(?) type of Verenti logo, subtly elegant. Also, the same logo is in the headtube/downtube lug on the drive side. Very nice. Reminds me of the De Rosa steel fork crowns that were engraved.
A great finishing touch is the GPS co-ordinates of the Rhigos climb, so enter them into your Garmin and away you go!!! No to mention the 'Dragon Ride' route being put onto the frame in small and cute detail.
The Verenti Me finishing kit reminds me of Ritchey products, so score top marks for me. The small logo's are pleasing to the eye.
I like the "cutout" on the wishbone seatstays. It add's a little something extra and shows attention to detail. The designer of the frame seems to of really looked at what they are doing and not just bashed it out quickly!
The groupset is perfect for a bike of this value. The SRAM hoods offer excellent comfort when compared to other offerings on the market. (In my opinion!). The gearing is perfect for the chosen useage of the bike. It will see you comfortably up the toughest of climbs and help you keep "pushing on" again once at the top!
Stopping power is great and the Me2 dual pivot stop you with ease.
The wheels come from trusty and well respected Mavic. Faultless. Matched up with Vittoria's Diamate tyres, it's a great combination on a bike of this price.
I haven't given the bike top marks for performance, as this is the first bike at this price/intended use that I have ridden, so find it a little biased to give it 5 stars as I have nothing to compare it too, however, I am sure it rivals any other bike out there intended for the same purpose.
Lastly, the bar tape. VERY comfy and grippy.
This bike will be a hit I am sure!"

Pros: Attractive
"6 weeks (and 200 miles) after buying the Rhigos.03, the crank started making a loud screeching noise. The problem cost me an additional £140 to have repaired at a local bike shop which had to come out of my own pocket.
The product itself is made of good quality material and looks great. I can only assume this was a one-off faulty bike."

Excellent quality product
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Attractive, Comfortable, High Quality, Lightweight
"I thought I would wait a few months to review this and have not been disappointed in that time. For the price this is a high quality product, very light with some great components included. No punctures yet, saddle is perfect with a pair of padded shorts. Power transfer is very good and the gear changes are smooth so much so that I barely notice them on the small gear.
Highly recommended as a first serious carbon road bike."

Good Times
Pros: Great Value, Attractive, Comfortable, Lightweight, Good Fit
"Purchased the rhigos after reading reviews and I am pleased to say that I am not dissapointed in the slightest.
I use the bike to commute to and from work, riding through the hilly north downs area in Kent. The bike is light enough and very comfortable, whilst the mavic rims suit the road condition very well.
The frame is undoubtedly the best bit and the rest is easy to upgrade if one desires. I had a few issues with the SRAM rival set up but overall it does the job with good range for those steeper bits.
The Me components are well made although the brakes need a good squeeze at times. The saddle good and I have found no need to change this.
For the Wiggle price this is a really good buy and I would most definitely recommend Verenti as a brand."

Great Bike!
Pros: Great Value, Comfortable, High Quality, Lightweight
"This is my first carbon bike and is an upgrade from a Trek 1.2. I bought it at the tail end of last summer and had limited opportunity to ride it before the winter set in. The bike arrived and was pretty much ready to ride after an initial tweak of the gears. I did the Glasgow-Edinburgh sportive on it and got round thre 100 mile route comfortably despite some horrendous weather.
However, now that the salt is off the roads I am enjoying being out on it again. The gear shifting is smooth and it did not take long to get used to the SRAM set up. I have enjoyed some fast rides on mixed road surfaces and it has been a pleasure to ride. At £999 it was a bargain, definitely money well spent."

A roadbike to love
Pros: Great Value, Attractive, High Quality, Adjustable, Lightweight, Good Fit, quality
"Before buying this one I have consulted with pro-racing friend, and scrutinized multiple bikes in the range of the £1000 and less.
This one costs £1400, but I got the Wiggle last-units discount, plus a set of £250 worth of vauchers, so I decided to go for it. The best money I have EVER spent on something that helps me train more, feel empowered and perform great.
The thing is very light, and for an heavy bloke like me (ehm 100kg), the righos makes you blame only yourself if you didn't get to average 30km/h yet.
The machine feels quality everywhere: from the custom-shaped frame, to the great wheels, to the steering (it's a pleasure stand on the pedals and push, using the steering to tame the beast).
I'm getting accustomed to the saddle still, but it's more about my large bottom than the bike itself.
I love it. Just love it."

New Buy
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Comfortable, High Quality, Lightweight, Versatile, Good Fit
"This was to be my first road bike purchase. I'm fairly new to the bike market, having only been riding on hand-me-downs.
I was originally looking at the Focus Cayo but found I wasn't in the right time to buy. After much research this bike seemed to fit the bill perfectly - extremely light, agile, soaks up the road and ideal for long distances (to name a few). For a price tag of just under £1200 it was a little outside my budget, but you only live once.
The bike arrived expertly set-up and packaged by the Wiggle team (thanks!) and I soon tested it on a short 16 mile bike ride. Wow.
Pros - The bike is unbelievably responsive, light, comfortable and more. In fact I couldn't find a single fault.
Cons - After going on a short ride I didn't feel the need to move out of top gear or even break a sweat. I am still trying to work out if it has taken the fun out of a good workout or whether I am yet to put it to a lengthier test!
If the £1200 mark is your budget, this is definitely worth considering. If it's a little bit out of your price range this bike is still worth considering!"

Cons: brakes
"A great collection of components on a solid light frame. Bargain price through a Wiggle sale. I've had the bike for four months now and put on over 900 miles.
So far I have not wanted any extra gearing heading up hill and heading down have reached speeds of over 45mph without fear of wobble. Rides very smooth. The only downside is the quality of the brakes which don't always give me confidence, but then again nor do many road brakes.
The Verenti front badge came away within the first week but that aside very pleased with the bike, its handling or the complements I've had.
I'm lucky enough to live not too far from the Rhigos mountain and this bike has taken me up there with energy to spare."

Pros: Great Value, Attractive, Comfortable, Good Fit
"An excellent purchase - I wanted a bike for sportives and to do the End to End next year. As a 50yr old+ retired rugby prop forward I'm no racing whippet and this bike ticked all the boxes, comfortable all day riding position, sensible gearing and quick enough when you needed it to be. Having got it out of the box, it looks better in the flesh than in pics, third ride was my first 100 mile plus sportive, some 30 miles more than I had ridden in one go before. Both the bike and i finished in one piece and are looking forward to next big ride. A quality bike and a great price - you cannot go wrong and I will definitely recommend it."

Couldn't be happier
Pros: Great Value, Attractive, Comfortable, Rugged, High Quality, Adjustable, Lightweight, Good Fit
"This bike is fantastic for me - comfortable, light, very stable downhill, good uphill.
Very different to the Cannondale CAAD9 it replaced - I agree with the reviews suggesting this is more of a long distance sportive bike than a full-on competition racing bike. The more upright position makes it more comfortable and practical as a main or only bike.
Bought at a discounted rate from Wiggle, whose customer service was also fantastic.
Still getting used to SRAM. It would have been good to have a choice of groupset, as I have a preference for Shimano.
The gear range is too wide for me, personally, but this is something I can easily put right."

Fabulous
Pros: Great Value, Comfortable, Lightweight, Good Fit
Cons: a little quirky, little seat stay/tyre clearance
"Absolutely fabulous!
I bought this bike as a replacement for my last Cycle to Work bike which was more than due for retirement. The price was really the deciding factor as it was great value for money. Far less of a factor were its looks, which for me, was rather edgy, lacking smooth lines and having a massive head tube that is an acquired taste. After unpacking came the first ride, wow, it was fast, comfortable, responsive and was so much more than I could have at first imagined. The fit too is superb, I am 6’ 3” and the extra large size couldn’t be better. Riding to work has now taken on a completely new dimension, I love it! One thing that may be worth noting though is that the tyre to seat stay clearance is very tight indeed, choice of clip on mudguards as well as bigger tyres is somewhat limited, normally in the winter months I would run 25c Gatorskins but I don’t think they will go.
All in all I would thoroughly recommend this bike, even its slightly quirky looks are starting to grow on me."

hi
just wondering if you had tried the 25c gatorskins by now. They are what I use now. My main hesitation with this bike is the skinny tires(I tour a little and don't like the more frequent flats that tend to accompany skinnier tires)

Great Bike
Pros: Great Value, Attractive, Comfortable, High Quality, Lightweight, Good Fit
Cons: poor manual
"I bought this bike having returned to cycling after a very long break so I can't compare it to any other modern bike. However, I have been really pleased to get back into the saddle with the Verenti Rhigos.03. I have found it well set up and comfortable to ride and it looks great. I bought it under one of Wiggle's special offers and got great value for my money.
My only gripe is the Owners Manual which is not specific to the Verenti Rhigos.03 but is a generic booklet that starts off with the words "Congratulations on the purchase of your new Mountain Bike" !!"

very, very,.............very happy
Pros: Great Value, Attractive, Comfortable, High Quality, Lightweight
"Bought this in the sale which I have to say at the moment appears to have been an absolute bargain. A good looking, lightweight machine with some great componentry. Coming back to road cycling after many years the SRAM gear changers were unusual at first but after a few hills it became second nature. The Rhigos as a whole performed excellent eating up the miles as I hoped it would, as great on the flat as it was on the hills and at the end of each ride, I get off feeling comfortable and looking forward to the next time I can ride my Rhigos."
