Cons: Limited Color Choices
"I find this pair of shoes excellent for lightweight runners. I use it both in trail, hills and mix surfaces (e.g. road) and i find it good also for some kind of training that requires fast runs like intervals. I apologize for my poorly english."

Great Buy
Pros: Great Value, Comfortable, Rugged, Versatile, Good Fit
"The Wave Ascend 5 provides great grip on the trails, can feel the sharper rocks under foot at times, fit is great and suits wider foot, laces are a bit short. Right out of the box they are a comfortable running shoe. Also feel good on flatter harder surfaces when leaving the trails."

best fit ever
Pros: Comfortable, High Quality, Good Fit
Cons: Limited Color Choices
"I have used Mizuno now for about 5 years for my road shoes and have just got into 'hashing'. obviously I now needed some good offroad/trail shoes and my first stop was these beauties. Fantastic out of the box, with perfect fit and great quality. i've only run in them twice, but no blisters, and better times over a 40min dartmoor are all the answers i needed. also came highly recommended in the first ever 'trail running' mag in the summer. Just buy them!!"

Great trail shoes
Pros: Great Value, Comfortable, Lightweight, Good Fit
"This was my first pair of trail shoes. I am a long time buyer of ASICs road shoes, as well as owning a pair of Mizuno Wave Nirvana's in there somewhere. This pair suited my narrow ankle just as well as my road shoes, is nice and light weight, but give a tonne more traction in the mud. I will definitely be buying more pairs in the future."

Great General Purpose Training Shoe
Pros: Attractive, Comfortable, High Quality, Rugged, Lightweight, Good Fit
Cons: Expensive
"I purchased these trainers specifically for use in the gym despite their primary function as trail running shoes.
These are my dedicated gym shoes now whilst my Mizuno wave runners stay covered in mud throughout the winter running months.
I find them very comfortable, ideal for a few miles on the runner/cross trainer before hitting the weights. They look great and make a nice change from Mizunos usual White/Red/Orange combo. If you like Mizunos you'll love these."

Great on or off road
"bought these as running a road half marathon but did not want a pair of roadshoes as i never usually run on roads. these worked pretty well on road and are very grippy on icy trails!"

Good, solid shoe
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Comfortable, High Quality, Good Fit
Cons: Unattractive, Limited Color Choices
"The shoe fits the bill well, it is light and pretty comfortable. Have switched to Mizuno's in last twelve months and the three pairs I have had have been excellent. Only minor gripe really is the colour, bit too light and after first muddy run they struggle to look pristine."

Not durable shoes.
"If you are looking for a durable pair of shoes, Don´t get them. I only wear them for races. 50 km and the sole is very damage."

Great pair of trail shoes
Pros: Great Value, Attractive, Comfortable, Rugged, Lightweight
"A very good pair of trail shoes which come highly recommended. Pros: Lightweight, grippy, responsive, solid underfoot protection, competitively priced, and unlike most trail shoes, actually look quite nice. Cons (actually, more of a 'be aware'): I've had Ascend 3s and 4s previously and these are definitely tighter in the toebox so you may want to consider getting a half size up from your regular size if you like a bit of space to move your toes. I normally take size 7.5, but had to get a size 8 in this model (and take up the extra vertical space in the shoe using Sorbothane full strike insoles). The silver colour is also quite light, so be aware that they are likely to end up looking quite dirty after a couple of muddy runs (if that kind of thing matters to you)."

Mizuno ascend 5
Pros: Great Value, Attractive, Comfortable, Rugged, Lightweight, Versatile, Good Fit
"An excellent trail shoe. I have hunted all over for a good pair of trail running shoes and third purchase lucky I found these. They are suitable for those with a wider foot (I'm a 4E!!) and are great if you are after a flexible yet supporting shoe - I found so many othe trail shoes very narrow, heavy, unforgiving and their soles way to rigid for my foot. Essentially they provide all the comfort of a regular road shoe but with the grip required for trail running. My feet are a size 8 - under pronating - high arched - wide forefoot. Would highly recomend them and will be buying several pairs so I don't have to worry about hunting for replacements in the future. Oh and you will get the usual excellent costumer care and speed of service through wiggle - HAPPY RUNNING!!!"
