"This is a godsend. Keeps your chain in place while you can clean your bike. It makes things easier, easy to fit, and also good to clean your chain with the chain keeper on. Who ever designed this should get a medal."

Glad I bought it

"I clean my bike regularly, and used an old toothbrush to keep the chain out of the way with the wheel removed.
That would pop out if I as much as touched the pedals.

I hesitated for quite a while over spending the money on this, but it's well made, easy to fit and makes the whole job easier. I can even clean the chain now without getting degreaser all over the tyres."

Great little gadget

"It always takes me a bit of head-scratching to remember where the springs go and how it works but once I get my head round it, this is fantastic. If you have to take the rear wheel out it keeps the chain under some tension, so it doesn't flop all over the place and cover everything within range in oily crud. Hurrah!
Extremely useful when having to transport the bike without wheels and you can't be bothered to take the chain off and re-attach it. Also for more general maintenance, changing rear skewers, tyre or tube. I don't think it's a field tool though - bit big and a funny shape as you can see from the photo."

Very handy bit of kit

"If you need to stow your bike away in a box for travelling, having one of these little toys makes for a safer transfer and less damage to the duco. Pretty happy with that. Of course, that still leaves your frame open to your bike being placed under a dozen 30kg bags - great."

Useful invention
"I wanted to keep the chain away from the frame when the back wheel was off so bougnt this as there don't seem to be many alternatives.
I thought the skewer would go through both rear dropouts but it only goes through the chain side dropout and you need to adjust the gears to make the chain run straight."

simple but very effective

"Bought this as part of my purchase with the dhb bike bag. Have been having problem cleaning the chain with the real wheel on as the cassette just will smear grease and dust as I cleaned the chain, This product allowed me to remove the wheel and get the chained tensioned up for an easy clean and lube. Chain is sparkling clean with the use of Pebros chain keeper."
