Best pads on the market
Pros: High Quality
"Bought these pads especially for my new Roubaix, which i would be using on a few challenging summer sportives & in the Alps.
Used properly for the first time recently on this years Fred Whitton Challenge (112 miles, 3,900 metres climbing) & they were really tested to the extreme with my Dura Ace clinchers. Some of the descents on this ride were crazy steep & very dangerous, so good brakes essential. I am gald i put these pads onto my brakes!!! They performed brilliantly. On some descents i was on ther brakes almost the whole time & these pads held their own & performed under stress when i most demanded it. It was good to know in my head that i had a solid pair of brake pads that would stand up to the test, which meant i could descent with complete confidence.
Not much waer yet, but when i need to i will purchase a new pair without hesitation."

"Swissstop pads are at the higher end of the price range for pads but they are worth the extra. I found them easy to insert into my SRAM Apex carriers although the retaining grub screw has a different Allen key hole from most other pads I have used.
The important thing is that they really work well. Even in the foulest wet cycling conditions (fast road bike) they provided powerful and reassuring stopping power. Concerns about whether you would actually stop at all at the bottom of a North Downs descent have been banished."

Good allround pads

"Good allround pads. Used on American Classic 420 rims which are famous for their poor braking surface and soft aluminium rims.
Perfromed much better than Koolstop salmon pads"

I have a pair of Mavic Kysirium SL wheels and love them to bits. However the wheels need a re build every 2 years due to hard ultegra pads and harsh road conditions, especially in the winter months.
I am hopeful that with a softer compound these pads although more expensive will help increase the rim life!"

These Work Well
Pros: High Quality
"Have only used these for a short time but so far very impressed. Produce strong, smooth and quiet braking. I use them on Easton EA70 aluminium rims. The braking track on these wheels is narrower than other wheels and so I had to remove a small ammount of the pad for a good fit. But that's a problem with the wheel not the pads."

"With top of the range components you need to maintain top of the road replacements - slightly lower on stopping than their more expensive Shram rubbers and half the price withe no sqeal and no abrasion to the expensive Fulcrun Racing One rims - its got to be a good buy."
