"This jersey looks the part and performs excellently - it really IS windproof, and despite being lightweight, it's warm enough down to about 16 degrees, when you'll need a base layer. (That's in Spain: anyone used to the British climate will tolerate lower temps.)

Does what it says

"I only started road-cycling this year - to start with I just used my MTB kit, but it soon became apparent that it was far from ideal.
I'm a "dry weather only" rider as far as possible, so wasn't looking for anything to keep the rain off - just something to keep me warm without flapping about like my old MTB jacket.
Like all dhb products, this was very keenly priced so difficult to ignore. This is by far and away the item of clothing I wear most often - with a base layer underneath I've been comfortable through most of the disappointing spring months we've had this year.
I'm not sure there's much else to say - for the price, it's a fantastic bit of kit."

Great jacket

"Was given this jacket by my family as an extra layer during this terrible "summer" weather. It's a great outer layer, keeps the wind out a treat. I can go out with just a jersey on and still be plenty warm enough. The front covering the chest is the windbreaker material whilst the sleeves and back are a thin breathable material which keeps you cool. The fit is on the snug side (standard for any cycling gear), I'm 6'3" and a 40" chest and I have a size large which is very snug but still comfortable."

"Having read other reviews I went for a Large to fit 38/40 chest and its a good size. Quality seems excellent .
Only worn it once but on that ride its left me very pleased with the pruchase.
My only thought is that at 10-12 C, sleeves are a bit lightweight comp[ared to the body but a long sleeved vest seemed to sort that."

"I found that most jersey's left me cold after a ride during dry winter days. I did not want to buy a jacket to wear over the top. I wear one on wet days. This jersey fits the bill, totally. why? you may ask. The looser fit allows to wear another dry wicking shirt underneath. Hence this helps one stay warm. The panel at the front does cut out most of the wind and the cold air. The jersey does have a full length zip that I use to control my temperature whilst on the road. The reflectiveness of the jersey is good with detail on the rear back pockets and front chest. Overall very happy any am keen to buy another this time a different colour."

"The windproof panels on the front really do a good job, however it does slightly restrict the airflow/ventilation. Easily overcome by adjusting the zip.

"Im 6'0" 75kg. 40 inch chest. The XL fit nicely. It's well made. Sleeves are light similar to any summer cycling top while the body offers good wind protection. This means in a cold wind body is nice and warm and arms get a bit cold."

A good way to keep warm on a budget

"I was looking for a light weight jersey for use on spring morning recreational/fitness rides of about 30 - 40 miles.
The DHB does the job and does it well. Initially the windproof front felt like wearing a plastic vest, but I soon got used to that and overall the jersey is very comfortable. The windproofing certainly works well on a cool day coming down the Cotswold escarpment.
Only two minor criticsms; watch the sizing DHB jerseys are distinctly smaller than some other makes - I needed a large in the DHB and a medium in the Altura that I bought at the same time.
Also the zip feels a bit weak, I suspect it will not last more than a couple of seasons. A stronger zip would not add to the weight or slow my ride, but would improve the durability of the jersey."

Strange fit, useless sleeves

"I must be from a different planet to everyone else. I ordered a medium as I like a tight fitting jersey (usually have a medium) and everyone suggests you go a size up. It was massive on me. Fitted well at the waist, loos at the top and baggy on the sleeves. Wiggle quickly replaced it with a small, which is better, but still weirdly loose at the top of the chest.
The top looks really good, and the windproofing in the body is very good. Unfortunately the arms are pretty much useless. The material is too thin to offer any warmth in all but warmest conditions, when you don't need such a thick windproof. Still, once you warm up it's not such a big issue and the top breathes quite well. Could have been brilliant with thicker sleeves."

"I bought this for cycling in the spring. So far so good. Durable, fits well and is lightweight. My colour (red) looks good.
Its made of tough stuff - had a nasty fall last week and only minor blemishes on the elbow (although skin hanging off my elbow!) Washes well too.

"Good fit, the zip seems good quality, very lightweight. I really like the chest shield which keeps the cold out, having said that I wouldn't say this is suitable for Winter wear unless you are layering up. I was a bit concerned as to how it would fare when washing time came but I needn't have worried - its survived a few runs through the system with no adverse effects.

Exactly what I was looking for

"The jersey is exactly was I was looking for: A pragmatic, good looking windproof jersey, used solo at cool autumn or spring rides or as midlayer for really cold, windy winter rides. I like to add a run to my rides, so I was looking for a fit and feel that is suitable for both. The dhb jersey performs very well in both disciplines, with good wind-protection at chest and arms, and without getting too hot at the back. And you really don't mind using it everyday at this price.
I chose one size bigger than usual, so I would say it is comparable to Mavic's international sizes.

Nice Jersey

"Bought this as the first windproof cycle jersey I have owned. It is very good and the windproofing makes a HUGE difference to riding. I have worn it across a range of temperatures from 2-3C upto about 12C with a long sleeve based layer and never seem to get cold of overly hot unlike when wearing standard t-shirts and jackets etc, even if they claim to have wicking properties. Undoing the zip a little at the neck is nice as the top hugs right up to the neck which is probably what its supposed to do, its not uncomfortable but I don't like it, saying that the zip seems to stay where ever its put and doesn't undo itsself. Fits well once you have the right size, I had to upsize one from what I had originally thought and its nice and comfortable now. All round pretty good."
