White Nokon - TERRIBLE FINISH
Cons: Unattractive, Low Quality, poor finish
"The cables are good, I've used in the many times in many applications but only ever in black. I needed some better colour coordination this time so went for 2 sets of the white cables.
The finish is absolutely terrible on these, it looks and feels cheap, the paint is uneven and patchy.
I can't send them back though as I've had them fitted by my LBS without checking them over.
Googling this brings up many of the same issues with the white powder coating on Nokons.
Avoid this colour!"

Reduced Carbon Rub
Pros: Durable, High Quality, Adjustable, Good Fit
"I use to get bad rub over time on the carbon frame from standard cables. I heard about these and thought I would give them a go. They are excellent. I have had them installed for about a year now and have no signs of rub on a new frame. The cable direction, which you can't normally adjust as the cable casing is too stiff is flexible and this means you can get the cables away from the frame, or in a desired direction. A good buy !"

Perfect for TT frames
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Attractive, High Quality, Rugged, Adjustable, Lightweight, Versatile, Good Fit
"I fitted this to a BMC TM01 that has a challenging transition from the bars into the frame.
Basically there are tight turns that would crimp a normal cable. No problem with these Nokon cables.
The shifting is super smooth and if you spend the money on a high end Campy setup you would be mad not to use these cables.
I bought 2 sets of these and 2 sets of the 1 meter extensions for the whole internal cable system. The wires are also of a very high quality with low friction and no stretch.

アウターワイヤー受けへの負担を減らせます。
Pros: 良いバリュー, 丈夫さ
Cons:

Great set of cables (If a bit pricey)
Pros: High Quality, Lightweight
Cons: Expensive
"I fitted these to my wife's bike. She has a set of FSA wing type handel bars with internal routing and SRAM force group set . They are great for tight bends and made the shifting a lot easer. Would recommend them they also make braking a lot more positive."

The Nokon alternative
Pros: High Quality, Lightweight, Versatile, Good Fit
Cons: Expensive, awful instructions
"I thought I'd treat my new frame to a set of these cables.
The first thing I noticed were the atrocious instructions. The translation from the German was not of the standard we now expect. Use the instructions to check you have everything, then bin them and use some common sense. Allow lots of time for the installation, not a jub to be rushed!
Running Campag with a double groove bar, the lack of friction was very impressive, in fact my first stops were quicker than planned as the brakes required so little effort. Very small radius bends are taken care of with smaller beads and these work well.
Before you cut anything do a dry fit to make sure all the runs are OK.
In a nutshell, so far so good. Don't forget to run a little oil over the outers then wipe it off, this helps the beads line up. Frame protection patches are a must!

Clean your bike
Pros: Attractive, Comfortable, High Quality, Adjustable, Good Fit
"When I got the Nokon Road Brake Cable Set I was a bit nervous about the installation. A lot of parts.
But I showed up it was not so complicated to get a very nice installation. Advice: Don't try to do internal wiring with it, us expander kit. But the good thing is you can make very clean installation with tight cources of the cable. If you find out to have it some mm longer this also works, just insert a extra part. Braking is very smooth and good feel. I recommend it after us of about 400 km.

Cablemungous
Pros: Durable, Attractive, High Quality, Rugged, Adjustable, Lightweight, Versatile, Good Fit
Cons: Expensive
"nokon cable housings not only look great but are very light too. The best thing is that unlike normal cables you cannot cut them too short as you can add additional 'links' to reach that perfect balance of form and function. with regular cables one cm can make all the difference - get these and you'll never go back. If they were a litle cheaper (say £35 rather than £44 for the full monty), I'd buy a lot more."

Look great
Pros: Durable, High Quality, Adjustable, Lightweight, Good Fit
Cons: Expensive
"A bit difficult to fit the first time round, but once you have the hang of it, is easy, just a bit time-consuming to get the lengths right. Worth the effort though. look great if you get the colour coding correct.
I felt a bigger perfomance benefit in the brakes....very direct feel.
I do not feel as much of a difference in the gears.
I ride a 58cm bike with externally routed STI cables and there are plenty of beads (with some left over).

Superb cables...
"I think the Nokons are great - deffo an improvement over my 10 speed campy ones - you can literally feel no friction at all when you brake slowly - all you can feel is the spring on the brakes.... We will have to see how they perform over time but very happy with them initially.... they are a bit of a pig to install, you just need to take time. I reccon it took me about 45mins per cable!! A good tip (which i learnt the hard way) would be to load up the clear protection sleeves first so you have about 5 'beads' in here and then add this on as a single item when you need it (if this makes sense) so dont try putting the sleeve on over your completed cable as its a pain!! I also like the way you can run the inner liner the full length of the gear cables (from the frame lugs). Overall very pleased with them... you also get loads of spars with them spare cables and liners..."

Its a Bling Thing
Pros: Durable, Attractive, High Quality, Adjustable, Good Fit
Cons: Expensive
"Have to be honest only bought these because I was bored with my normal cables and like the looks. Just like most reviews its true that these are a bit of a mind boggler when trying to fit, but just take a little time and it falls into place.
I bought the first set and just fitted to my brakes love the look but as for performance can't say I could notice any diffrence, also the claim that they are lighter im not sure about as the road bike set have a steel outer to fit under the bar tape so I would have thought that that would have made up for any weight loss.
When it came to purchasing a set for my gears, I cheated as no road versions were in stock in my colour I bought a set for highbred the only diffrence being no steel outer and the cable ends were wrong but as you get both gear and brake cables I used the cable from the first set and had enough coloured beads to take the place of the steel outer, and the set was cheaper.
So a lot of money just for cables but look great so im happy!

Nokon cable set
Pros: Attractive, High Quality
Cons: Expensive, awkward to install
"Fiddly to install but look great and really do glide smoothly. I would consider speccing them on a new bike when I didn't have to install them myself, and will use them from now on for replacements on my best bike."
