Good shoe
Pros: Attractive, Adjustable
Cons: Poor Fit
"Excellent quality, however if you have a slghtly wider foot like me you probably should go the wide option. I also have the road version of these in wide fit, and they fit much better."

Great shoe!
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Attractive, Comfortable, High Quality, Adjustable, Versatile, Good Fit
"I know it's a bit harder to purchase shoes online without trying them on first since sizing can always be finicky. So to remedy that, I just checked into a local bike shop and tried them on there!
Anyway, on to the shoe. I'm usually a size 10-10.5 in Canada, and the 45 fit perfectly! On the advice of a couple other reviews, I opted for the Wide 45, and I'm glad I did. It fits perfectly! Also, if you wear orthotics like I sometimes do, you can easily put them in as well.
The straps are great for securing the fit, and for quick release in transitions. I bought it as a triathlon/training shoe, because I don't like the idea of slipping or wrecking the bottoms of my shoe when I'm dismounted. The MTB version is therefore perfect as I can walk around easily!
The shoe looks great as well, so no complaints there. I've had my buddies complement it, so they might even think of going the MTB route as well.
Great shoe, very pleased, go buy a pair!"

Good value and comfortable
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Comfortable, Rugged, Good Fit
"My first Pair of SPD shoes and have found them both very comfortable and easy to use with the cleats etc.
I normally wear a 10/10.5 but went up to an 11 and the shoes are a great fit.
The construction seems solid enough yet to comfortable to walk about in.

excellent choice
Pros: Great Value, Comfortable, Adjustable, Good Fit
"First time I have ever used proper cycling shoes. I brought a size bigger as recommended and they fit a treat. So far they have kept my feet warm and apart from very heavy rain when there is lots of standing water dry too.
Would highly recommend these, they are comfortable and are very good value for money

Not too wide
Cons: Poor Fit
"If you need a ee or eee width, these are not wide enough and the strap for the top that goes into the buckle is no where near long enough, if your feet are regulat width or slightly wide these will be OK, nowhere near as wide as Sidi Giau, which in turn is not as wide as a regular Northwave Lizzard SBS.....I have all these and always go back to the Northwave...
Good looking shoe, and well built however, grey colour is nice"

Great first shoe
Pros: Great Value, Comfortable, Adjustable, Good Fit
"Before these shoes I was very reluctant to have my feet strapped to the bike (and to some extent still am) but they do their job. It's an easy task to fit the thingies underneath (don't know the technical term) and the shoes are easy to adjust and I'm able to get a really snug fit. The impression that I get is that these are reliable and will serve me well for quite sometime."

Shoe sizing - Wiggle extremely helpful
Pros: High Quality, Adjustable, Lightweight
Cons: Expensive, Poor Fit, Limited Color Choices
"To get a decent fit with these shoes I had to order a 47 instead of my normal 44 (via a trial of 46s), so beware and don't put the cleats on until you are absolutely sure they fit!
In my case the wide fitting would not have helped.
Wiggle were great about exchanges.
Can't comment on the shoes much, but the closure mechanism looks good and stays where you put it.
The shoes feel firm and the sole rigidity is about right for me. Haven't ridden enough to comment on durability, but they look well made. I'd prefer them in black but only grey available on Wiggle.

Does the job so far
"This review is based on only a short use of one day so far but...
I can say that as far as sizing goes, these may be slightly shorter than 'normal' shoes. I am 11.5, but i bought a 12 and my (slightly) longer foot has the big toe butting up against the toe box of the shoe.
In practice though, this isn't an issue unless i'm walking which is obviosuly not so common with a bike shoe.
Everything else seems fine.

Love the wide fit
Pros: Great Value, Comfortable, Lightweight, Good Fit
"Its good to see Shimano providing a wide fit in affordable level shoes.
I bought these to use on my road bike as they are easier to walk in than road shoes and seem a better option out in the bush where I live.
So far they seem pretty good. I'm happy.

So much better than trainers
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Attractive, Comfortable, High Quality, Adjustable, Lightweight, Good Fit
"These are my first pair of cycle shoes, so nothing to compare to apart from an old pair of trainers I was using previously. What a difference. Wish I'd done it years ago.
The shoes are comfy straight out of the box. I'm a size 9 and ordered the 45. Fit is perfect for me. The strap adjusters work well and all together the shoes look very well made.
The SPD-SL "51" cleats come with them, and I found very easy to fit. Just don't stick down the waterproofing label (under the inner sole) until you've ridden a few miles and a happy with the positioning - then you can seal it all off and forget about it.

Fantastic shoes
Pros: Durable, Comfortable, High Quality, Rugged, Adjustable, Lightweight, Good Fit
Cons: Unattractive
"Have been wearing the predecessors to this shoe for the last 8 years and these have proven, in the month I have had them, to have the same qualities as their predecessors, that's to say, bullet-proof construction which survive year round riding without any issues, easy to adjust and maintain and supremely comfortable (especially with the wide fit) Would recommend without hesitation, great shoes!"

Excellent Shoe
Pros: Attractive, Comfortable, High Quality, Adjustable, Good Fit
"I have been using the DHB shoe for a couple of years & it was time for a replacement. Decided to try these & have been very pleased so far. I'm a UK size 8 & the 43 (wide fit) is perfect. They take a little while to break in fully but are comfortable from the start. Much better than the DHB for walking on, which could be a bit hairy on smooth surfaces. Click system is very quick & easy to use, relatively lightweight."

Excellent value shoes
Pros: Great Value, Comfortable, High Quality, Adjustable, Lightweight, Good Fit
Cons: Limited Color Choices
"I am so glad I bought these shoes. I am even more glad they come in wide sizings. I have tried on the regular width shoes and was worried they were too narrow for me, but the wide size is perfect."
