Check the sizing
Pros: Attractive, High Quality, Rugged, Lightweight, Versatile
Cons: Poor Fit
"This is my second pair Gore Bike Wear shorts. The last pair served me for 8 hard winters so I'm hoping these are as durable.
One thing to note though is that the sizing has drastically changed. My old pair are size M and they fit perfectly. The new pair are also size M and they are like a pair of sails! I'm going to have to swap for small."

Noisy waterproof trousers
Pros: Comfortable, High Quality, Lightweight
Cons: Expensive, noisy fabric
"I bought these trousers at the same time as an Alp X lll waterproof jacket. They got used together for the first time on a particularly cod and wet Sunday ride, with a group who don't hang around. They undoubtedly do what they claim to do. They are waterproof, breathable and quite comfortable to wear. I can also get them on and off over my road shoes, without too much of a struggle. The velcro leg fasteners keep the bottoms out of the way and pedalling is mostly unrestricted. The only downside is the constant "swish-swish" noise as you pedal, which really got on my nerves. As soon as the rain eased a bit I took them off and relied on my DHB Super Roubaix bibtights to keep out some of the weather. My tights were totally dry, when I took the Gore trousers off, so they are definitely waterproof and breathable. I should have kept them on and put up with the noise, as my shoes quickly filled up with cold water, running down my tights and I ended up with cold, wet, wrinkly feet. I am 5' 7" with 31" waist. The medium size fit OK, apart from a slightly long leg size.
My search for the perfect waterproof cycling trouser continues, but this is fairly close.

Pants
Pros: Lightweight
Cons: Not Enough Features
"They do fit me but my bum is not too big so suggest people get the next size up if they aren't slim.
The thing I find annoying is that you slide about on your saddle with these on and feel they should have made some thing in the seat area that was less slippery!
They keep you dry in the wet though and no sweat builds up
I also despise the fact there are not lots of reflective panels on them. Come on Gortex, give your riders a chance against the traffic!
You shouldn't be riding black these days unless there are reflective bits all over.
I also think there could be a wear issue of the right inner calf area as it looks a bit flimsy and with a bit of rub there could be a hole there in no time"
