Fantastic bike
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Comfortable, Adjustable
"I have now tested this bike thoroughly in mud, gravel, forest and grass and it handles superbly. This is my first mtb, so I was looking for something robust with a lot of value for money. The specs of the bike is excellent even when compared with bikes that are 30% more expensive."

Don't delay, get one today.
"Having only managed a few short easy rides so far I am chuffed to bits with this bike. Great forks, slick gears and good looks. If you're not a sadist, get a new saddle though, this one's a killer. Apart from that, if you're considering buying one, don't hesitate, you won't be disappointed."

Good value hardtail
Pros: Great Value
Cons: Limited Color Choices, finish
"I was about to purchase a Cube Comp Attention when this came up on offer for a similar price,so after much deliberation,i took the plunge and purchased. The spec, even at the full asking price,is very impressive but for the price that i paid it was a steal,i certainly couldnt find anything that came close, equipment wise. There are one or Two points concerning finish that mean i have marked it down a star, for example some of the welds leave a little to be desired with a couple of pinholes and weld spatter in evidence suggesting quality control at the factory is perhaps not all it could be,Also the actual paint/decal interface is not quite up to the standards of the best in the industry (I am comparing with my Specialized FSR XC) with some bleed around the edging of the Blue detailing into the white paint. The rear drop outs also display quite a bit of flex, particularly noticable when tightening up the QR skewer. I dont know how much this occurs on other bikes but my Spesh is much stiffer in comparison. All in all though it is bang on the money and rides superbly. I also feel the frame would make a worthy platform for future upgrades should one feel the need."

Pros: Durable, Great Value, Attractive, Comfortable, Rugged, High Quality, Adjustable, Lightweight, Versatile, Good Fit
"I am delighted both with my new bike and with Wiggle's service. The delivery was ahead of the estimated date and the bike was very well prepared - no adjustments necessary other than adding pedals and putting the handlebar in place. The inclusion of the complimentary tool set made installing the handlebar very straightforwad - no searching for the right allen key. As for the bike - it's terrific! It's very light, well featured and comfortable to ride. I'd never seen front suspension controls on a handlebar before - now I'd say it's a 'must have'. Thanks to Wiggle and Focus!"

Superb Value For Money
Pros: Great Value, High Quality
"Looked around for a new MTB for ages before buying the Black Forest. I considered three or four other manufacturers but for a similar (mostly lower) spec the other bikes are three or four hundred pounds more. I didn't previously know the brand Focus but they kit out pro road teams so must know their stuff.
I couldn't believe the specification for the money - XT / air shocks with remote lockout etc - and I was not dissapointed when it arrived. Buying on line you will need to build the some of the bike up - but this is where you make the savings - and It did need some setting up as the gear changes were not correct and the brake discs rubbed - but following advice on-line along with some friendly help soon had it running smoothly after 20 miles or so. It even comes with basic tools so you dont need to go to the shops before putting it together.
If you are looking for a mid range hardtail dont look any further - this is absolutely the best value for money around - buy this and spend the savings on SPD pedals, shoes and accessories.

Great Value, cracking performance
Pros: Durable, Great Value, Attractive, Comfortable, Rugged
"Just look at the spec, its rare to see full XT/SLX at this price, (the XT chainset is £200 alone!) and its all performs faultlessly too. The 10sp dyna-sys gearing feels good. The wheelset rolls quick and feels strong and the Race King tyres are pretty good too.
The Tektro brakes aren't amazing, but they do a good, solid job whenever i've needed them. Same goes for the fork, but then i'm used to a Fox RL32. The remote lockout is a bit gimmicky but useful.
The bike gives you quite a race-y feeling riding position too, i'm 6'0-6'1 and went for a large and the fit is just about right.
Bottom Line: Great bike, will perform fantastic out the box (and it comes in a BIG box!) but has great potential for upgrades, feels nibble descending and responsive climbing. Looks fantastic too."
