Quiet and smooth
Pros: Durable, Comfortable, Rugged, High Quality, Versatile, Good Fit
"I've had this trainer for a month and it's easily the best trainer I've ridden. Onceyou've adjusted the pressure of the roller on your rear wheel it feels solid and doesn't slip at all. The roller is so smooth that your pedalling action is as close to riding on the road as you're going to get. Simply shift gears to change the resistance. Really good quality product. Recommended. The extras are definitely worth having in the kit, durable mat, and 2 risers with 3 positions and a thong to protect your bike from the sweat. No hesitation in recommending this kit."

Great indoor trainer
Pros: High Quality, Good Fit
Cons: Expensive
"I have only had my new trainer for the past 3 weeks but so far so good. I have done 1 min intervals and 2 hr rides on the trainer so far and have enjoyed the feel. All the reviews state that it feels as close to riding on the road and I would agree with this compared to other trainers.
When doing the 1 min intervals the trainer gets pretty noisy because of the effort but feels stable with a good roll and zero slipping. When cycling at normal speeds it is fairly quiet.
The winter kit is also definitely worth considering,
All in all so far very happy with my purchase and also the speed that the trainer was shipped to me."

Well Worthwhile
Pros: Durable, good feel.
"I decided on this as my first trainer and have been very glad I did. Superb build quality, easy setup, and a smooth riding sensation all made this work very well for me indeed. The included bike thong and mat have been godsends - don't buy without getting them too. The DVD in the box nearly destroyed me; what this and other trainers do not (but should) include is A FAN!!! Train indoors without one and you're on the pain train - destination sweatstown.
Points to note - the bolt assembly behind the cam lever is a little raw and over exposed. In addition, a trainer tyre is essential....my rear Continental is already showing very visible wear after three sessions. Super fast delivery from Wiggle and very efficient import duty handling too."

A great training aid
Pros: Durable, High Quality, Rugged, Adjustable, folds away neatly
"Relatively new to cycling I wanted to build my fitness during the cold and wet winter months so bought this trainer. Wiggle originally delivered the wrong model but were fast and efficient at supplying the correct one.
Setup couldn't be simpler, you can be spinning 10 mins after delivery.
Comes with "Race Day" DVD, one from the RealRides series, I downloaded the others and now have a variety of interval workouts covering Power, Speed, Climbing etc.
I have my turbo set up on a carpeted loft room in front of a TV. The only noise you can hear downstairs is the TV and occasional gear change, no apparent noise from the turbo itself. (Although it sounds like it should be noisy when you're using it, it isn't).
I've used the turbo a couple of times a week over a couple of months to supplement any time I can get on the road and my technique and strength have improved enormously - on that basis I would recommend it to anyone. It feels like being on the road, and using the gears you can simulate the fastest spinning to the toughest of grinding climbs. The DVD's also cover techniques like one legged intervals which have paid dividends. The added bonus is that my wife also has started using the turbo regularly and switching between bikes takes 2 minutes. It comes with a solid chrome skewer built to hang the bike in the turbo preserving your original.
I opted for the package with the floor mat and 'thong' - both of which I'm glad I bought, the mat protects the carpet and the thong catches the sweat. I didn't think I was particularly sweaty, but its easy to create a pool on the floor in a 1 hour session and although the 'thong' looks ridiculous it does a good job.
A good solid bit of kit which I'm sure will last many years, it does what the blurb says it should do and I'm fitter and enjoying my cycling more as a result.

Get out of the Cold
Pros: Durable, High Quality, Adjustable, Good Fit, easy to assemble, folds away
Cons: Expensive, no computer
"I have recently purchased the Cycle-Ops Jet Fluid Pro turbo trainer. Actually, more accurately, I purchased the winter training kit (with mat, sweat net, front risers, DVD) and took advantage of the fantastic discount weekend on turbo trainers and accessories.
This is my first turbo trainer and as a result I have nothing to compare it against. However, I had carried out a great deal of research beforehand, and this seemed to fit the bill of all of the things I was looking for. The trainer came ready assembled (avoiding some of the complaints I had read about with the cheaper models) and was very easy to set up. Had I changed my bike skewer immediately I could have been up and running within 10 minutes of the parcel arriving. It is very easy to use and only takes a minute to attach my bike to it for each new session.
It is quiet enough to watch TV or a film whilst using it although you will need to up the volume a little. However, my wife has sat through her soap operas while I have been using it and there have been no complaints that she is unable to hear the TV. Further, it is quiet enough not to disturb my two young children sleeping upstairs.
The trainer is sturdy and I have suffered no wobble at all even when stood up for a sharp burst. Gear changing is done through your bike gears and resistance builds up reasonably accurately to road conditions.
It does wear through the rear tyre fairly quickly and so a hard wearing indoor tyre would be recommended (although I understand this is common to all turbo trainers).
I suppose the downsides are that it does not come with a computer to track speed, distance etc and also cost. However, as I bought the whole package with 35% off then it felt quite reasonable to me for what I received.
I haven't seen the DVD yet and so cannot comment on it."
