"I love the look of this bag, the colours (grey version) looks really nice. The main compartment is fairly large and has a non-padded separator for a laptop. There are two further zipped external pockets, both of which are spacious and one has an organiser for bits and bobs. There are two external mesh pockets for water bottles (which work well) and an MP3 player pocket which is nice and soft and feels protective. The shoulder straps are comfortable, but with my slim-ish frame I need to use the chest clip to keep them from falling off my shoulders. There is also the essential ice-pick loop, which I'm sure gets a lot of use on these bags?? Overall the quality of the bag is good, but having had another Jansport bag a few years ago the quality of the materials feels less than my previous bag. Not a big issue if you're new to Jansport, but you might be a little bit disappointed if you've had one of their bags in the past."

"Bought this bag for day-to-day use. Great space in the main compartment -- a sub-section at the back for laptop and plenty of room in front of that for files. There are two handy compartments at the front for quick access items. Plus there is another smaller one at the top of the bag for coins, keys etc. Shoulder straps are very well padded and provide good comfort when using this bag for cycling commute. Fits all my gear with ease. Overall it is a very well designed bag with obvious thought having been put into its features. And apparently it has a 30yr guarantee!"

Great commute bag

"I recently moved to a new office and have yet to get secure storage for a change of clothes, toiletries, personal documents etc so had to get a larger commute bag. This is my first JanSport product but am really impressed with the quality, capacity and functionality. "This rucksack looks nice and good quality zips etc as well as a good design. A few people have commented to me that it's a nice looking pack. It is a perfect rucksack for everyday use like the gym or carrying a laptop.

However I would not recommend it for long distances or cycling - it does not have the back & strap support design that promotes airflow or that makes it sit on your hips (and bear weight on your hips). As it's quite large I filled it with stuff and ended up getting a sore neck and back after my first week cycling with it (whereas I did not have this problem with my previous pack which sat on hips). For cycling I have had to change to the pannier/saddle bags, but this would be fine for other uses and it is still a good back pack overall for everyday city use."

"This rucksack is BRILLIANT! Was forced to upgrade after I wore my last JanSport to pieces but was delighted to find that this was even better! Lots of pockets for all and every purpose you could want and seems to be very durable too.

FAVE FEATURE: Especially like the waistband and chest straps - you can easily ignore them but, if needed, they allow you to run whilst wearing the rucksack without it bobbing up and down against your running motion.

All-in-all: a great rucksack that fits all requirements without being too bulky, amazing! Was excellent value for twenty-five squids."
