Different gel
Pros: good taste
Cons: hard to open
"Not my normal gel, but wanted to use this as it is the gel provided during IM Lanzarote. It is much thicker than I normally use, however, I have been pleasantly surprised at the taste and texture. 50% of time easy to rip open but thats a problem with all gels. It also seems to work!"

Does what it says on the tin!
Pros: High Quality, Lightweight

"Portable, palatable and packed with calories - these pouches are just the job for maintaining energy on endurance events or in training. Currently 6 weeks from the Rome marathon and started using these on my LSR on Sunday (15 miles). Found them very easy to swallow, unlike some of the competition products (and, to be honest, PowerBar's own earlier offerings...) though you do need to follow them up with some water - but then you should be also rehydrating during extended training so no issues there. I find that one every 40 minutes goes a long way in counteracting the cumulative calorie burn on a long run. Not cheap, but then what value do you put on not 'bonking' during heavy training sessions? Good stuff."
