Brilliant durability
Pros: Durable, Great Value, High Quality, Rugged, Good Fit
"Really solid bit of kit. holds charge well and has a really simple Hope control (one button gives access to low range and high range output - each with 3 settings). Seems to be waterproof as well as crash proof, with a really neat mounting bracket that is just great quality. Would recommedn for all but the blackest forest night ride - where a head mounted back-up would be useful. Battery life is good, with a dim settign selecting itself when it gets too low, but an indicator would help."

hope vision r4 front light
Pros: Durable, High Quality
Cons: Expensive, battery life not as advertised
"a well constructed and robust light that is easy to fit and use. it provides good illumination but i'm not inclined to believe the advertised burn times. my experience certainly falls short of what's advertised. it's expensive but probably worth it, subject to the battery life not deteriorating any further"

Very bright but expensive
Pros: Attractive, Rugged, High Quality, Adjustable, Lightweight
Cons: Expensive
"I go night riding with a group. Occasionally we go through woods on the ride. I used to use a Led Lenser H7 head torch mounted on my helmet, it's amazingly bright. I've upgraded to this and wow the difference in what I can see is amazing. We only ride for about 1.5 hours so I can have it on full beam all the time. Brilliant.
It hasn't stopped me falling off though but at least now I can see what I'm about to crash into. On the last ride I fell into a ditch at 20mph while ducking an overhanging tree. Without the light the crash could have been far more serious."

Superb, High Quality Lighting
Pros: Durable, Attractive, High Quality, Rugged, Adjustable
Cons: Expensive
"Where do I start? I bought this to run in conjunction with my Hope Vision rear lamp (reviewed separately) and I'm extremely pleased that I did.
This is a very high quality bit of kit, evident from the moment you open the box, this little beauty has been manufactured to a high spec and you can immediately see where your money has gone.
Packaged with the light was the fitting bracket, again of high quality finish, relatively lightweight rechargeable battery, recharger, helmet mount, velcro cable straps and Hope sticker.
Easy to fit, in action the light is superb. There's a number of functions including floodlight, lowlight, flashing etc. I use the flashing function for commuting, saving on battery power and crank it up to floodlight when on the trails at night - recommend you don't use the floodlight function on the roads!
All in all a very user friendly, high quality front light that doesn't need charging after every use.
And to think this has been manufactured in the UK just puts an even bigger, smugger grin on my face - well done Hope, very well done!"

Like riding home on a summer's eve again!
Pros: High Quality
"I bought this as I commute 12Km on dark country lanes.
It comes with secure helmet or handlebar mounts and a headband.
I had it on my helmet in minutes and was out on the bike.
It fills the road ahead and I can ride at normal speed without worrying on medium. The button is easy to use whilst wearing it and has lasted 4 hours on medium.
The light charges overnight and is light and easily removable from the helmet mount for safety if you leave your helmet lying around.
In summary, an amazing light around, I can't fault it check out Wiggle's 'illuminometer' and see he it compares.

Excellent Front Light
Pros: Attractive, High Quality, Rugged
Cons: Expensive
"Fed up with puny LED type lights and old fashioned lead acid battery lights I decided to splash out on the Hope. I reviewed various HID lights on Youtube, and this one compared favourably. When it arrived it was immediately obvious that this is a quality piece of engineering. It fits well on the handlebar and is easy to operate even in gloved hands. Its light beam is excellent. After only two weeks of use I can't comment on its long term performance but so far I am hugely impressed. Worth the money."
