"I've found this to be easy to use and reliable. Battery lasts and the holder keeps it firmly attached.
Generally improved motivvation - it encourages you to do that extra 5 miles to get the distance to a round number!
Not sure how it calculates the height you've climbed, but the mapping software and uploads to Garmin and May My Tracks works very well indeed."

Living on the Edge

"I have been using this for a few months now & must admit that it is one of the best bits of kit i have bought! The value you get from it is second to none. I was after a basic kind of GPS bike computer that measured just the basics: speed, time, mileage. I had tried other models but was severly dissapointed in the performace, so saw Garmin had developed this & snapped one up. It does the basic & then some...avge speed, total ascent, total descent, calories burnt. The only thing it doesn't do is measure gradient. The battery life is very good. Lasts up to 10 hours before you get any bleeps & recharges quickly at home. Featues like ride history are great as you can see how your training is going. for the money paid this is a bargain. Fits well to the stem & easily removable & does not rattle or feel as though it will come off so peace of mind when on a ride."

"Was not sure whether I needed to shell out for the 500 or 800 but for me, I am quite happy with the performance of this model. Does everything I need and more, although would like to be able to see the compass needle on all screen layouts, which doesn't seem possible (still only a beginner so maybe still a setting?). Also like the garmin connect community and ability to download courses on to the device."

"I wasnt a data geek, I just like to know what I am doing and so what my performance is , was. this however is special, I was initially concerned by the speed of satalite connection and accuracy, having only had sat nav experience , I need not bother this is fab, connection is instant and it track very well, the display is the best I have ever had, and once you upload your data is moves into a different league all together,,,,It makes you want to ride and ride I love it..."

"I bought the Edge 200 to replace the Forerunner 110 watch I had latched to the handlebars and which did the job well enough. Still, there's nothing like having the right kit and this doesn't disappoint.
Highs: good value for money; easy to set up and use with Garmin Connect; excellent battery life; quick satellite location; great to be able to dispense with wheel magnets, sensors and the like; better overall reliability and accuracy.
Lows: pity that real time isn't displayed when the unit is operating"

"At the time of purcase the price was discounted and Wiggle were also offering a further 10% reduction for Gold customers, so I took the plunge and bought it at a great price.
I'm very pleased with the edge 200, it was a breese to fit and has woked faultlessly, Information is easy to save and retreave although I haven't used the download facility yet, but will do soon.
The one thing to remember is, its very portable, easy to fits and remove so don't forget to take it with you after your ride."

"This garmin GPS is brilliant. It is the cheapest of the garmin range but has loads of features and is brilliant value for money. As well as giving you your details while on the bike, mileage calories etc, it is when you plug it into the computer that it comes into it's own.
It gives you full details of y our bike ride with maps , speeds calories altitude and so much more.
I am so.glad that I opted for a GPS rather than just a bike computer.
In a word I would say this is EXCELLENT"

"Suits me perfectly. Not every metric you can imagine - e.g. you won't get cadence or temperature but all the important ones without fuss. I use for run and road cycle.. Garmin on-line reporting is simple to use and lets you upload & monitor the essentail data you need. Less succesful on MTB as signal lost in denser woodland. Easy to switch between bikes."

"I used to track my cycles on Cycleometer o iPhone but the battery life o the iPhone was terrible and would almost drain the battery after an hour and a half. This device still had a 60% charge left after a for hour 60 mile cycle. Updates Garmin on-line so you can set training and personal goals. Easily transferable between bikes with easy twist on and off mount."

"Perfect for what I wanted it for. If you want bells and whistles go for the garmin 800 0r 500.. For me, this is adequate, I don't need to measure heart rate or cadence and have no need for maps so the 200 is just the ticket.The best feature is the courses where you can compete against previous rides and set your own courses.Being able to download all your information to garmin connect and compare rides is also a great training aid.Gps signal picks up almost instantly, so just put it on your desired bike and away you go, no need for calibration between bikes.For me, being able to have the backlight on if required is aconvenient option, as all my commutes are in darkness.The bands supplied for fixing to your bars or stem come in various sizes with 2 mounts so you can have one on each bike should it be required."
