"Having installed these on a 52/36 chainset and used them on a hard 200Km audax ride in the SW, I found I'd lost one of the bolts en-route and have now ordered a replacement set. With this experience, I suggest using loctite to ensure they stay in place. There's nothing wrong with them per-se and they seem to fit well, but a belt and braces approach ought to ensure they stay secure under the stresses of the hardest climbs."

"These brake blocks tend to wear out quicker than those from a competitor. I suspect that's because they are a softer material that is less aggessive for rim wear. So although you have to replace these blocks more frequently than harder blocks, the rims last longer. Not a scientific test, but an observation. It would be interesting to hear if anyone agrees with my comment and can support my observation with some test results."

The most evident changes are immediately noticed on the first gear change. The new design of the chain up-shift and down-shift zones makes shifting extremely fast and precise.

"A Powertorque chainset is a more cost effective chainset than the Ultratorqe, but is still good. I wanted a semi-compact chainset (52/36) for my carbon bike and this fitted the bill. The cogs are straight set but the changes between large and small ring and vice-versa are still good. FWIW, the straight set cogs ought to last longer with the cog load spead over a larger surface area. I've had no trouble with chainset changes and, although there is a difference between this and ultratorque, and that difference is acceptable IMO."

"Although well-known for being tricky to walk in, on the bike they have a positive click on entry and are very stable when riding - no chance of unclipping under even the most rapid acceleration. They won't last as long as Shimamo cleaps, but when you want to put the hammer down, they are the bees knees."

"With a Lithium Ion battery and LED bulb, this light is IMO about as good as you can get in a small package. The light output is excellent and the beam well formed. As well as a flashing mode, there are several dimmer static modes for longer run time. With USB charging, it's possible to consider using this for touring as most overnight stops will have mains access and a small mains adaptor can provide the USB power feed needed to recharge the light."

"Good bars and the ripple on the descending part of the hand grip is mellowed once bar tape is added. The drop part of the bar is a bit shorter than I needed, but since most of my riding is on the top of the bar, it's not a big issue."

Cinelli Saetta Race Cut Frameset 2013
This monocoque carbon frame has been designed for the advanced amateur cyclist and is adapted for internal cable routing in case of assembly with an electronic groupset.

Sizing for the Saettee Race Cut Frameset

I'm 6ft (in old money) and am looking to replace my aging Raleigh 853 frame with the Saette Race Cut frameset. The Raleigh measures ~550mm on both top and seat tubes. What is the best equivalent sizing for the Saette frame?
On another topic, the Raleigh is kitted out with Campag Athena 11. Will I need new parts? I guess a new seatpost and steering clamp(1 1/8" instead of 1")? Anything else?

I fitted them for Campag Athena and they work well. They are standard for all Campag groupsets - and other groupset suppliers too I believe. The only time these might not work is if the crankshaft size is not the standard 30mm dia. Wikipedia has an entry here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bottom_bracket#Cartridge_bearing. Even my ancient Raleigh 853 frame from the 1980s has a 30mm crankshaft so I suspect it is now ubiquitous.

The Crud RoadRacer Mk2 Mudguard Set is a lightweight mudguard set designed to fit road bikes with tight clearances and without mudguard mounts.

Will these mudguards fit a Felt F95 with 28mm tyres?

You might be able to fit them, but they would not be effective as they are narrower than a 28mm tyre.

Will these fit a Charge Plug 2 2014?

I don't know of the Charge Plug 2014, but these guards are designed to fit road frames which which do not have full mudguard clearance. So long as there is a clear gap between the tyre and frame you'll probably be ok. I use them with a Verenti frame using 23mm tyres - which are the maximum practical tyre size for these guards. For the most part they serve their purpose which is to keep your backside and feet dry. Needless to say, they are less effective than a frame which has the clearance to fit full size (e.g. SKS) guards.

Will Crud Roadraser MK2 fitt on Eastway - FB2.0 2014? And which off Topeak QR Beam Rack MTX models is best for the same bike?

Top 500 Contributor
Top 500 Contributor
I'm not sure about the bike you mention, but the Cruds will fit almost any bike that has no specific mudguard clearance. The clearance also depends on the tyre size so you may be limited to 23mm tyres. I suspect 25mm would probably be marginal at best and you can probably forget 28mm tyres. Sorry, not in Swedish.

Does this product come with speed and cadence sensors?

Hi,
What accessories does this bike computer come with?
Top 500 Contributor
Top 500 Contributor
Yes. The design means that both sensors are best fitted to the rear chainstay close to the bottom of the downtube to ensure reliable signal pickup. You *can* split the wires to separate the speed and cadence sensors, but that just means more faff to ensure the wires are taped down reliably.

No - the clamp needs to added and have the width of the outer diameter of the seat tube. You can choose whether to use a quick release clamp or hex key clamp as needed. FWIW, I use a quick release clamp because it allows easier fine-tuning adjustments when out riding.
