"Beware that the small sealing washer in the valve head "can" get
stuck to the valve when everything frosts up after use. check it's
not on the vavle when you remove the pump as without it the
pump is useless.
on a lighter note however - works flawlessly in the field #apart
from the above# and allows a small inflation first to check seating
etc before commiting to a full inflate - nice. You can easliy store
an unused cartridge inside it saving pocket space :)
"
Pros: Attractive, High Quality, Lightweight
Cons: sealing washer easily lost

"perfect for the tracer light as well. puts the light as high as you can
get it so making you more visible to other road users. fits well
nice and tight plus it's easy to swap between bikes in seconds.

The Arundel Dual seat bag is the perfect compromise between the two extremes of seat bag. It's bigger than a coin purse sized bag, yet it's smaller than the carry-all sized bag that wouldn't fit in the overhead bin of a commercial airliner.

Hope's new range of chainrings have an integrated bashring to keep them protected and can be used for a range of 1x setups. Machined from T6 aluminium alloy for a beautiful finish, this is a great finishing touch for a custom MTB build.

"a great little investment. yes you have to take a wheel out and yes
you could do with a toe strap to hold the bottom bracket down but
all that pales when you use it for the first time. no wobbling about
like the "clamp the seat post/frame" ones, no back ache, all the
tools being used are right there on the tray.
Can't believe how easy re-indexing gears now is :)
The only downside if I can find any are trying to get a road bike on
that has full guards with a mud flap fitted ... close to not going but
it can be done.

The K-Force Light uses one-piece continuous carbon fibre construction with FSA's Minimal Top Clamp (MTC) design. For strength and lightweight, M5 chromoly and stainless steel hardware is used in the seat clamp. UD carbon finish also.

This bit based tool system includes a magnetised bit socket that helps keep the bit firmly in place as you work. The bit holder locks closed, so you don’t need to worry about bits falling out and getting lost in your pack.

"Whilst this is an excellent piece of kit it lacks a simple piece of
thought .... the crew driver bits when fitted to the side of the tool
make for very awkward (and in some cases impossible) use.
The rest of the tool bits work fine. it's also markedly heavier than
some multitools i've used.

Does this come with the black rubber O ring that attaches to the back of the Flare light and stops it sliding out of the bracket?

Will this saddle bracket work with the Tracer rear light? If not does a saddle mount exist for the Tracer?

A must-have for urban night riding. The new TL-LD610 is slimmer and brighter than its predecessor, with five LEDs and three modes that maximize your visibility.

How do you fit this?

Hello, I bought this light and it arrived nice and promptly, I had a look at it and it looked really easy to fit just like a cable tie type fitting or something, so I threw out the packaging. When I came to fit it I have struggled.... what I imagined to be an easy cable tie has nothing to trap it.

Does anyone have some really simpleton instructions they could share with me, it will need to be back to basics for me to grasp it I think!!

Thank you!!

you insert the ribbed portion through the slot then turn the thumb
wheel ... not so much a cable tie as a jubilee clip :)

SKS's extra long Race Blade Long protects you, whether you're riding your racing bike in a warm summer rain or on solitary winter trips.

Another 25mm tyre question...

I ride a cross bike with more than enough clearance between tyre and brakes.

My question is will the mudguards provide enough coverage for 25mm tyres. And will it fit around a 25mm tyre? I'd rather have a decent set of long mudguards that are reasonably light than settle for raceblades or a heavy pair of commuter guards.

Thanks
Top 250 Contributor
Top 250 Contributor
Probably not ... they're quoted as 18-23 so you'll most likely
get some rubbing using 25mm tyres unless you can set the
guards high enough from the tyre !

Mudguards designed for road bikes with little clearance between bottom of brake calipers (arch) and top of the tyres.

What width are these where they meet the bottom of the seat tube/bottom bracket?

Hi,

I ride a vitus 979 in winter and previously bought another mudguard set that doesn't fit at a similar price point. I've tried fitting them but the rear guard is too wide at the bottom, and the screws provided don't fit the very narrow eyelets on the vitus.

This set look good because they are secured onto the forks and chainstays by loops, but what width are the guards where they sit against the point at which the chainstays and seat tube meet?

Thanks,

Johnny
Top 250 Contributor
Top 250 Contributor
on most frames the lower end doesn't reach the chainstay/bottom
bracket junction and it's all held in place with cable ties and rubber
bands so can be "jiggled" around to fit. As they're all plastic you
can "trim" the end to fit snugly should there be a clearance issue.
I had to on my Allez :)
